Wow, after 350$ for the car and the same again for upgrades it's almost sorta close to as quick as a $150 Hosim from Amazon... I know we're gonna get a bunch of kids out at the track trying to run 1/8 E-buggy with these next year and I already feel bad for them. Gonna have to run with the SCTs 😂
That’s way more like it! I mean if I bougt the stock one for more than $200, I would have returned it. They have good cars, but they cost 2-3 times more than they should. Your upgraded one is like it should be for it’s price🎉
Team Corally make badass trucks. You won't be disappointed. I have the Kagama and after buying 1) serrated wheel hex nuts ($8) 2) titanium shock standoff (ADU Racing $25) The thing is bulletproof. Only part I've broken is a rear camber link, a $4 part. Corally have the best bang for buck 8th scale by far. I did oodles of research and asking about before I bought. I was an Arrma guy, but I'm so happy I went Corally. Yeah, parts take a few days from RC Hobby Explosion, big deal. I don't have a local hobby shop anyways, I could give a crap about Traxxas ubiquity in hobbyshops.
I think synchro 4 is plastic chassis jsuk , it has nothing but gr8 reviews, the only bad thing I read was only does 40 on 4s and can’t gear high , not sure how true is , guy review not that kind of rc guy to know
The syncro 4 is awesome and without a doubt better than this jato. Plus the syncro is 4s and quick straight out the box. I pit the high speed pinion on and its rapid!.
I have a lot of traxxas, along with many other brands such as Arrma, Losi, etc. And I agree with the fact traxxas is usually higher priced. But I’ve been buying their stuff since 1997 when I got my first nitro car, the Nitro Sport. This new jato IMO is just not worth a $350 price tag. I have the 4wd slash BL2s and it was less expensive and seems much faster than this new jato. My 2wd BL2s stampede and rustler are even faster than this thing and were far less money. For me, this particular traxxas is a hard pass. Why spend $350 for a 2s vehicle like this, when you can buy a durable 4wd 3s Arrma granite for like $20 cheaper. I will say, owning 3 of traxxas BL2s models, they are super durable and as of yet I’ve not broken anything on any of them. But this new jato should be closer to $275-$300 range. Even if they’re gearing them towards beginners. You could buy a Gorgon that’s awesome, fun, and durable as heck, for less than $200. Still, a great video and review of this thing. 😎
😂 Might wanna look at what the competition offers, bud. This is objectively the worst mew release from Tashaxx in years and literally the worst deal for an RTR off-road car on the market. That's not even mentioning the whole 1/10 scale disguised as 1/8 scale thing either.
I think the 4S Jato is gonna be badass. Center diff and 4S power are my bread and butter. Arrma 4S trucks are by far my favorite vehicles. BL-2S is an absolute waste of money though. I may actually add the 4S Jato to my collection.. Can't wait to see your full review on the BL-2S and maybe the VXL one in the future!
This is an amazing platform regardless of all the non-Traxxas fans on this page. I threw in a 3s Velineon system + center diff assy (TRA6780) and I would by far keep this over my Typhon. I get the price is less than desirable but not sure why that is always shocking to everyone......cracks me up. Clipless body hugs the chassis and keeps dirt and debris out better than every other platform I have used.
Actually good for ethis type of bashing especially with the 4s system coming in vxl it pulls wheelies , otherwise would you use this over a Losi 8 or something, completely different .
Why are we running 2s , this guy is for kids , vxl 4s is for adults in the traxxas world 🌎. Money not a issue because most people aren’t like us gear heads or rc racers/bashers
I would go buy a real buggy before i give 530 plus for plastic slashbug. It would be fine to enter the basher buggy market but to ask those prices for very little R&D and very little spent on new dies using exsisting parts is reaching too far. I appreciate the savings doing this but we are not seeing any of the savings.
I have seen much more (mostly valid) harsh criticism of the 2s power system. I wonder if that played into Traxxass money grabb, errrrrr, release plans and sped up the release of the VXL version?
What happens when corporations oversee a 1/8 buggy. Trashy electrics, plastic everything but high shareholder value. When Arrma bring out something new it’s exciting and desirable, traxxas - same reheated dinner with 20 year old radios
Not paying 550 for this !!! That’s just crazy !!! And the 3s typhoon is wayyyyyyyyyyy better than this ! Traxxas need to step it up or stop it !!! Anything for a dollar!! 3s jato stadium truck would have been nice !!
This definitely a basher buggy , I seen today in traxxas videos, comes with 4s system pulls wheelies , reminds me of an overpowered slash fun but not winning races .
@@TRAVELER197 I paid 480 for original rally car , 399 for platinum edition slash , it came with hop ups center diff. And slipper but no radio . Must be 15 years ago , this pretty much the same RC . They overcharge and they can because they have the hobby shops ,
Definitely performed a lot better than last run ! Nice work
thanks, now actually fun

I think im gona go Syncro4 for $360 . Im old school metal chassis and 3 diffs buggy type imo
But you'll have to order parts and wait 2-3 days for delivery like most normal folks do anyways.

Yes!! This is the only one that I’ve watched run that was right! Great amount of power to actually move quicker than a sloth 🦥
When I first heard about this, I was hoping it had the VXL 540XL 2400kv motor. Running on 3s & 4s lipo. Maybe later? 🤞🏼
$250 for this and $399 for the VXL would have been great!
Yeah, but it's not very Traxxash.! 😉 😉
Definitely 👍🏽

It catches on fire. 😂
Nice upgrades
Hobao VSE will eat the VXL version, same price!😊
Is the wing mount from the sledge as well as the wing?
The vxl one looks good. May grab one if I can get a deal on one.

$529 for the VXL model according to the Traxxas site.
@@rogzielI'm actually impressed it's that low. That's only slightly above the competitions 6s basher buggies.
Did you try 17t on 2s motor… I get the 3s option … but if need gears up 40% why couldn’t gear up other motor 40%…
it doesn't have enough power. that's like sticking a lawnmower engine into a car and thinking you can just gear it up to go faster.

This thing is already a money pit.
So biggest thing is the motor that comes stock, is horrible! 😫 😩 😭
Actually surprised how quick traxxas put out the vxl version
Yea that's weird. They normally would wait 6 months at least and get the rebuy
