I think the biggest disappointment for me was the fact that there are no ballads, which really made the dynamic of this album on a macro scale very grating. I think it's the best album in the Trujillo era, and glad he gets to shine more on this one. They really need to work on the ebb and flow of their albums though. I think that's been people's biggest complaint. Not every song needs to be 7 minutes. If they had an album full of 3.5-4 minute songs, throw in a 7 minute one, and end it and on an epic one; that would suffice. James does sound amazing though. You can tell his heart was into it.
Love the Rob and Kirk contributions. No one talks about this, but I know they made these tracks with the live in mind, the boys technical ability is lowering every year and they want to keep it fun and doable. I know this album will permeate future setlists, no one talks about that theory.
@@maleldil1Death Magnetic is self-pretentious, uninspired and very forced, badly produced album. Most songs are nostalgic cliche by the number ordered, trying to duplicate and repeat "... And Justice For All" record, with a ton weaker material. Just being 'completely' thrash record doesn't justify its failing. Not saying those 2 after are great, but kind of more listenable, including Load/Reload.
I’m really digging this album, it’s a banger. I love load and Reload. And I get a mix of that with some early Metallica. I really really love the harmonizing guitars in Room of Mirrors. It’s a simple straightforward banger and I’m really excited to hear these tracks live
Room Of Mirrors is as Maiden-like that Metallica can get and it's very cool. Imo Crown Of Barbed Wire would be a KILLER Carcass song if done by Carcass. I love it. Only two songs I didnt particularly like on 72 Seasons. Unlike Hardwired I plan on listening to 72 Seasons for the future and it's on my playlist already. But I'm only one voice...
I enjoyed the album for the most part. It was alright. Not the best album of theirs but considering their age and how much albums they already released...it's fine and definitely will come back to listen to this album times and times again.

@@Karl_Drogo55 I don't like shitting on other people's comments, especially when it's always subjective, but claiming that this is "instrumentally as strong sounding as they've ever been" is absolutely ridiculous, and the only way to explain it is new album release hype. If you mean in terms of playing, RTL, MOP and AJFA are absolutely legendary for their songwriting, precision and technicality for the time. If you mean production, The Black Album is genuinely one of the best produced albums in history. 72 Seasons does not come anywhere close on either front.
I'm in the honeymoon phase, but I feel that this is a stronger album than Hardwired since the sound is beefier (bass is more audible) and has very strong and memorable moments that will linger longer than what Hardwired (as an album) will ever achieve.
Hardwired was so mid and the production was so bad that it really elevates this album, which I liked much, but I agree that it is also pretty standard while I also this one at least have an ounce of personality
Albums are more than "moments." Moments are parts of songs. Songs like Moth into Flame, Halo on Fire and Spit Out The Bone contain great moments and are stronger complete songs than anything on 72 seasons
TBH, the first time I listen to this album I was extremely disappointed, but after the third lesson I found myself really loving it. Totally valid criticisms and my biggest disappointment is Kirks soloing. I am a fan so time will tell if this is just recency bias, but I will say the more I listen to them the more I find myself liking it
Say what you want about the album but how can you go a whole review of this album and completely ignore room of mirrors? Even if you don’t like it at least tell us why because honestly I think it’s an absolute beast of a track
I've been enjoying it a lot so far. Back when Hardwired came out I wasn't really in the mood for Metallica so I didn't really get that much into it. The singles have grown on me over the years, but I don't have a well-formed opinion about the album as a whole. Can't say how well 72 Seasons will age for me, but I'm having fun so far. I have a lot of respect for Hetfield being very open about his personal issues in the lyrics. The more I age, the more I can relate to his more open post 80's lyrics while the older texts acquire new meanings. I do have to agree that the records is one-dimensional. I would have like a ballad or two as well. There are no ballads on Hardwired either if I'm not mistaken? But above all I'm just happy they are still around and active. It makes me a little bit happier!

"Is it re-listenable?" Yes, that's the question. Nobody in that studio was willing to tell them the truth or, if they did, they must have been fired and the band just went ahead and made an album for rusted on fans.
@@johnlennon6790 I agree so much with this. I bet you couldn't even recognise the tracks if someone played them on shuffle, to me they all sound the same except the intro on Sleepwalk. Death Magnetic was the peak of modern Metallica, they can't get better than that album.
the most blowing track in this album is Inamorata i know i know it's long and boring track but in their 60s and 42 year of making music they manage to make a beatiful and gorgeous melody and harmony the last part of the song hitting me so hard and making me blown away everytime hearing it
Inamorata is a metallica masterpiece, with time people will like this album. I remember when everyone hated Death Magnetic and now people love it and consider it a return to form.
I love every song on this album - it's a very enjoyable listen, compared to the 2nd disc of Hardwired where the tracks where dragging a lot. Overall fun record, even if not groundbreaking or fresh..
@@stephanea5364 I get the cynicism :D, but no.. not really. I liked Spit out the bone, maybe Here Comes Revenge, ManUNkind, but the rest didn't sit with me, although they had some good moments.
Not everything has to be groundbreaking . Music is supposed to be enjoyable. I swear these hipsters don’t actually like music and just want to seem special for enjoying wierd shit.
I think for me, it was a matter of timing when I sat down to really listen to this album; I feel like my love of the genre was something I never felt comfortable sharing with my wife. I'd have some pretty standard stuff playing and she just wasn't into it. We eventually decided to divorce and my buddy invited me to this concert last weekend (the last Metallica album I listened to was Death Magnetic). There were a couple songs I didn't recognize so I bought the album. It was a comfort to hear the standard licks and progression I fell in love with as a kid. I've honestly been listening to this album all week on repeat, which has helped me get through what would have been our ten year anniversary. Yeah it's pretty basic, but I think that's also comforting
I enjoyed the album, bought it on vinyl. Definetley more of a Hardwired style album than prior albums. I do have to give credit to "Screaming Suicide" releasing at a very dark time in my life a few months ago and it saved my life.
Fr I would’ve loved more ballads and quieter moments because some of metallicas best moments are songs like Where the wild things are, until it sleeps, unforgiven, Orion(middle section), one(first leg). It’s beautiful when metallica decides to become more intimate with their song writing.
I honestly really like the album. Not every song is great but it has a few really good tracks. I feel like it‘s unfair to compare modern Metallica to 80’s Metallica since they’re essentially different bands. In terms of sound I mean. I just think some fans need to realize that the old Metallica doesn’t exist anymore.
@@rojasfilms3250 says the absolute twunt whose favourite album is St Anger. Robert Trujillo is wasted in Metallica, Infectious grooves were better. EVERYTHING is better than St Anger.
The last three songs on this album are the best ones. Out of the four singles released prior to the album, all of them were fairly good as well, even if "Screaming Suicide" is the weakest among them. It's hard to say whether this is better than hardwired, but that's probably just because it featured the epic, and badass, "Spit out the Bone" . "Inamorata" is epic as well, but not in a way that recalls their classic sound. Overall, this is the type of music that it makes sense for them to be doing at this point in their career. It's better than their worst material, not as good as their 80's stuff, and is mostly a success, albeit not without minor issues. (Song lengths etc.) The only track I might feel compelled to skip is "Crown of Barbed Wire" which is the worst this album has to offer. "Sleepwalk my life Away" and "You must Burn!" are weaker tracks as well, but I like them better than say "Now that We're Dead" or "ManUnkind" from the last album, or "Cyanide" or the unnecessary "The Unforgiven III" from Death Magnetic.
This is yet another perfect Metallica album to which to daydream about being the bands producer listening to the songs with the band and going "yeah we don't need to introduce that riff, chorus needs a different vocal melody but lyrics are good, don't repeat that lick twice Kirk, ooh nice, Lars can we get some toms goin' here?"
I love Inamorata (though it's very derivative at places), but you're right about the longevity of this record. I tend to skip at least half of Hardwired (the whole 2nd disk, basically), but I do come back to it at times. this one... I don't know, seems that out of 12, only that last song will stick with me for a long time.
@@CptMark yes, it's my favourite from Hardwired. but out of the rest of disk 2 I *maybe* listen to Am I Savage occasionally, and that's it. I even skip Halo On Fire at times 'cause it's too stretched out at the end.

I feel the same about about Death Magnetic. I hear people shit on that album but on my iPod in middle school, my iTunes account was linked to my parents and I stumbled onto songs from that album that I still listen to regularly. I love that cover and I love that album and Metallica has since become my favorite band because of it
Re-listenability is a real good point. Will always love met, but I just never go back to hardwired, or even death magnetic, and probably won't go back much to this. But their classics I still listen to a lot and have been for 20 years
Hardwired was a flash followed by a burnout. This album isn’t edgier, but it’s more solid top to bottom for sure. And Rob’s growl along with Het’s vocals and some amazing riffs make it a truly good album among a stack of pioneering ones. Where are they do go from the top? It is not as mediocre to me as you rate it. It sits just below L/RL and Black. I have done about 3 passes and it’s getting better each time. I’m at 7.5/10
I thought of Reload as the worst Metallica's album for years. After listening to 72 Seasons I decided to check out Reload once again for the first time in years. And I was blown away by how diverse their sound was on Reload, how spontaneous and unleashed their flow was back then. I loved Reload :) Thanks Metallica for that! The same thing happened to me before. When St. Anger came out, I didn't manage to listen it in its full. When I cringed with Death Magnetic, I've revisited St. Anger and it became my favorite ever Metallica album. And yes, 72 Seasons has its moments. I can listen to it!
@@swampcrypt Totally wrong! The majority disliking the album demonstrates that Drewthemagnificent is right. The reason some people like it is just that they like everything by Metallica by default, since they can't process the fact that their favourite band released a bad album. Wow, that wasn't very hard when you get to decide whose opinion counts and why people think the way they do. Imagine that.
Yeah, Reload is a very overhated record. It's mostly attitude-driven hard rock, but it does it well. It's also got those ballads and some experimental stuff. Great album imo.
@@swampcrypt Nah. St. Anger is shit. Bad riffs, awful lyrics, incredibly repetitive and a lot of songs go on for far too long. It deserves the hate it gets. And Load and Reload also suck too, they are mid albums with way too many songs and it's the worst case of the band selling out for that mainstream money.
A lot of the album sounds very “samey” but I genuinely like Too Far Gone?, Lux Æterna, and Inamorata because they sound the most unique. Could’ve really used some slower, melodic songs like Nothing Else Matters, Orion or the beginning of One.
Last decent Metallica album was Death Magnetic. I thought Hardwired had some good songs here and there but wasn't a solid album you could sit and listen to.
The absence of clean guitars is actually insane. One of the things that Metallica does best is acoustic intros and interludes. One of the best moments in Death Magnetic, my favorite Metallica album, are acoustic parts.
The only 2 songs I'll come back to are Lux and Shadows Follow. The rest might grow on me, but currently it's not doing much at all, outside of a few moments sprinkled here and there.
this whole album just sounds like riffs you come up with while waiting for band practice to start. it's not bad but not super inspired either from the few listens I've had of it so far.
Cope as fuck. When a band plays live, they don’t put a record on, they play the music. The live performance should be made to sound good live, the record is the record. Sure, some songs are designed to boost the energy in a stadium or whatever, but if you can’t capture that on the record, the record doesn’t work. Whether you buy into the superiority of live music or not, if you’re gonna put out a fucking record, put out a fucking record, not just a collection of songs you’ve been playing live recently.
@@MaazHamidPKI disagree, for me Reload is better than 72 Seasons, and Reload it's not only Fuel (I don't like this song), Where The Wild Things Are, Carp Diem Baby, Prince Charming, Low Man's Lyric, Fixxxer, Devil's Dance, The Memory Remains and Bad Seed are great songs.
After the reactions to this album I feel like Death Magnetic is due for a critical re-assessment. The biggest issue with that album -- aside from the mastering, but you can download a patch for that -- was that it was a little too one-dimensional and long-winded at times... But going back to it after these last two, it's practically an explosion of color and texture and catchy hooks. And as long as you're listening to the right version, it's pretty well-produced too, with a natural but hard-hitting sound that doesn't sound super overdubbed. I still made a few edits here and there that I prefer, but overall, still pretty impressive.
Metallica stopped not looking back till DM. The riff output on that album is mental, looking back helped them with those cool riffs but their physicality was not the same as 20 years previous. I think that made the album a little disjointed. Love it still though. Hard to go through the changes at times though.
@@JohnCena2011 it's been a long time so it's possible I don't even have whatever the best version is at this point, nor do I remember what I downloaded exactly. I just know it was ripped from Guitar Hero: Metallica and I assume any "fixed" version you can find would use that as the source as well. That game came out right around this album and so they offered the whole thing as DLC, and someone figured out how to extract the files and they sounded better than the actual album. That was the secret sauce that allowed people to fix the album. (I think the GH team also ratcheted up their DRM efforts after that happened, but the damage was done.)
I really don’t understand how you could rank this lower than Hardwired, every song hits harder overall than Hardwired and doesn’t have stinkers like (Murder One, ManUNkind)
I love Manunkind. The bass intro and groove is pretty special for me. Then again I love every Metallica album. I'm glad 72 Seasons has some similar sounding grooves to Load and ReLoad.
I think my biggest gripe with the past couple albums is the lack of real “gravitas” to the solos from Kirk. Considering what he was able to pull off in previous material (even in Death Magnetic).
It's not even that...Kirk nowadays plays the same blues pentatonic scales/licks over and over again. The great thing about his past work was that all the guitar solos were thought out like their own little songs. That's what made them memorable. He really hasn't done a good solo since Load (Bleeding Me, King Nothing) or the black album (which is loaded with great solos).
From the first singles released i had a feeling this would be a corny album. The opening to Screamin Suicide sounds like something from an early 2000s sonic the hedgehog game.
I personally think this is their best album since The Black Album. There’s filler tracks obviously, the album is very bloated, but overall I sense a new level of hunger and passion in the band that hasn’t been there in a while. Overall, an 8/10 for me.
I think hardwired is far more adventurous and sometimes fresh & experimental than the cut and paste riff and snare fair that is 72 seasons 1 direction the whole way
I feel this album is strong. The guitar riff are strong and some song are catchy, for me it was a throwback album. My only complain is that the album is repetitive for the length of the record.
I disagree with Melon's take on Hardwired to Self Destruct, that album was amazing, Dream No More, Halo on Fire, Spit Out The Bone. Kick ass songs. This album, 72 Seasons, is not a good album. Its not even bad, it just...exists. If Darkness Had a Son is the only good song off this album that had any semblance of intrigue.
The most frustrating thing about this is it could have been great (or at least decently good) if edited down. Nothing many others haven’t already said, and I really have nothing new to add… but I genuinely wanted to like a new Metallica album. I genuinely enjoy progressive metal tracks that run on and on, so it’s not just song lengths, or album length. Again, already been said, but it’s too safe.. I continue to just be a “first five albums are basically perfect, the rest meh” type fan. Oh well, back to the dozens of other great metal (and non metal) albums out so far this year. When there’s so much great new stuff to listen to, I just don’t even bother going back to stuff I found entirely mediocre on first pass. That’s this imo.
While I respect your thoughts on this review, I'm honestly kind of unsurprised by it. You're bringing up points like Metallica bringing nothing new to the table as arguing points: They don't honestly HAVE to bring anything new or edgy. These guys are pushing 60, are in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, and hold a Guinness world record. There's not much left for them to do, and they don't wanna retire. I say why not? Let them put whatever music they want to out. We never dissed ZZ Top for going until Dusty passed, we CONSTANTLY crack on KISS and Motley Crue for having more retirement shows/reunion tours than Doctor Who has had Recasts, why not let them do whatever they want. It's their legacy. They don't NEED to push "Urgency" anymore, hell they don't even need to play at Lux Aeterna tempos anymore: It's not the 80's and they have nothing to prove to critics that walk into their albums unenthused about it, fans and "fans" that sit there and whine about a 40 year old band not being as angry as they used to be when they were in their 20's on drugs and mourning their bass player, or even the rest of the metal industry half of whom Revere Master of Puppets like it's Fisher Price's "My First Metal Album". Of course they're predictable. They're as predictable as Slayer throwing the same 3 fucking riffs since 1998 or Mustaine whining about Hetfield breaking up with him. They don't NEED to bring anything new to the table, they helped BUILD the table.
Love 72 seasons, it really felt like the past 40 years of Metallica culminating into a great album. I agree with many of the critics that the album isn’t super diverse, and kirks solos are more serving their job and not really bringing much to the table, however I keep getting pulled back to the album by every song except “you must burn”. James lyrics really resonate with me. I’m also a pretty big Metallica simp so I’m just happy these guys are still thrashing and sounding super tight ! 7.5/10
I listened to The Black Album on cassette recently on a long drive. It's one of the most badass records ever made for the open road. Looking forward to seeing them live in Seattle in August 🤘
Totally agree with you on this. I've listened this album many times, and I've almost forced myself to enjoy it. It kind of bores me to be honest, sounds like they've lost alot of their songwriting chops.
Lux aeterna, Chasing Light, Screaming Suicide, and Crown of the Barbed Wire are my favs. I also think the tracks on 72 seasons are lengthy for the most part.
Everyone seems to be making fun of my favorite glam rockers Steel Panther ... But the good thing is that they don't give a shit about what Metallica or any other thrash metal bands do ... Because they are kings of the genre in their own right ...
As a life long fan of the band that was one of the worst things to come from the pandemic. That song sounded like a single dad trying to fit his beer gut into his high school graduation year jersey.
It could definitely use more balance in the tracklist. I think they did a great job and are very proud of it.. I wish they'd hire some old legendary producer and have the producer come in LATE to the project. That way the songs are more complete and the producer can go, "alright, we need better solos, more sections with dynamics, less triggered drums, cut the fat, add some cool FX and merge 2 or 3 songs together to make an epic".
Yes my main issue with 72 seasons is that they made the songs unnecessarily long, even the ones I liked the most couldve been cut 2 min short. Even so, maybe its because my expectations were low given that the singles they put out first were the weakest and least interesting songs in the album (maybe they did that on porpuse?) but I think this is better than hardwire.
metallica makes a song and adds to it and don't know when to stop, my biggest criticue to this album is that some of the songs just go on for ages. nothing against long songs, i love justice and their instrumentals but these songs almost lack direction and purpose, they are playing it safe which i get and these songs are not bad, they are just there. after lux i was so hyped for this album and i wasn't expecting the next RTL or MOP or anything but i was expecting a bit more than this to be honest it's not bad but it isn't good either but it still sounds like metallica and feels like metallica, i give it a 6/10, maybe a 7 after a few more listens
Great intro and review. Haven't heard the album yet, but I imagined it would be as Fantano describes it. My hope was that Metallica would make an entire album of Lux Aeternas- short, poppy tracks- to make a modern "British Steel"/"Firepower" record a la Judas Priest. lol to hear James Hetfield is the star of the band. How does 72 Seasons compare to Megadeth's new album last year? Bad times when I give a Metallica ablum a "didn't listen" and a Megadth record a "wouldn't play again".
I usually agree with fantano, but I think this album was better than the last one and actually it's pretty good i'll give it like a 7.5-8. It has a great performance and a bunch of songs that blends the old sound with the new sound in a good way
I thought that, due to the mass wave of fans received from Puppets in Stranger Things, they had an opportunity to blow everything out of the water with a kind of Time Out Of Mind redemption of skill. They had the whole world watching them. I think even if they released it sooner so that their attention didn’t die down, they could’ve at least prospered somewhat but since nothing happens on this album, it will just be their forgotten album, rightfully so.
The best way I would describe this album is if it came on the radio, I wouldn't be turning the station but I also wouldn't be happy it came on. Just eh alright I guess I'll leave it on.
My peronal favorite aspect of this new album is James' vocal performance. He has so much power and sustain in his voice, and that comes through almost every song in this album.
metallica just doesn't have it any more. just boring dad rock riffs with Kirk absolutely abusing the wah pedal as if he's a catholic priest and the wah is an altar boy. Pass.
if st anger couldn't end metallica, nothing would.

Death Magnetic better
Come on, Death Magnetic is way better than anything that came after it.

Room Of Mirrors is as Maiden-like that Metallica can get and it's very cool. Imo Crown Of Barbed Wire would be a KILLER Carcass song if done by Carcass. I love it. I agree. Disappointed of this record.
Dude wat. Death Magnetic was a master piece
Death magnetic is easily their best album since the black album and I would go as far to say it’s better than the black album
I dunno, Hardwired had some awesome moments. Spit Out the Bone I thought was a great track.
Albums are more than "moments." Moments are parts of songs. Songs like Moth into Flame, Halo on Fire and Spit Out The Bone contain great moments and are stronger complete songs than anything on 72 seasons

I honestly really like the album. Not every song is great but it has a few really good tracks.
This bands new stuff will always be compared to their work in the 80s. They just can't escape it.

72 seasons reignited my love of Metallica. It was a record made for playing live and you see it on their tour.
That doesn't even make sense. Are they good songs or not? Bad songs don't sound good live. Good songs still sound good on an album.

My left eye starts to twitch whenever I hear Metallica these days

Answer: Yes
It sounds like such mediocre, flat, and lifeless metal, definitely not an 8.

It’s my favourite Metallica album since Black Album too but it’s still just a 6/10 for me personally. Too Far Gone and Room Of Mirrors slap though.
I think hardwired is far more adventurous and sometimes fresh & experimental than the cut and paste riff and snare fair that is 72 seasons 1 direction the whole way
Correct
It's disappointing to see Hardwired is so neglected by the fans.
Shadows follow is one of the best songs they have written in years.
They should have just made Death Magentic, Hardwired and this album ine album. Just take the best from each and make them one album.
I think it was so nice of Dave Mustaine to let Metallica use all those riffs of his for this album. Such a nice guy 👏

They don't NEED to push "Urgency" anymore, hell they don't even need to play at Lux Aeterna tempos anymore:
It's not the 80's and they have nothing to prove to critics that walk into their albums unenthused about it, fans and "fans" that sit there and whine about a 40 year old band not being as angry as they used to be when they were in their 20's on drugs and mourning their bass player, or even the rest of the metal industry half of whom Revere Master of Puppets like it's Fisher Price's "My First Metal Album".
Like the same week Overkill released a single that blew this entire album away lol
the torture waiting for the HMLTD review 😭😭😭
3:44 "Lars' drums do have a sharp pop to them. The recording on them's pretty good."
I feel like you can hear the implied "thank god!" after that. 🤣
7.2/10 is not a bad score tbh
I listened to The Black Album on cassette recently on a long drive. It's one of the most badass records ever made for the open road. Looking forward to seeing them live in Seattle in August 🤘
"not attention grabbing" is probably a positive attribute when we're talking about Lars at the drums
It was a relief that they didn't brickwall the production of this one, I found the clipping really grating on Death Magnetic
I also think the tracks on 72 seasons are lengthy for the most part.
most listenable album since black / Load
Everyone seems to be making fun of my favorite glam rockers Steel Panther ...
But the good thing is that they don't give a shit about what Metallica or any other thrash metal bands do ...
Because they are kings of the genre in their own right ...
King of glam is motley crue not steel panther
The most indifferent I've felt towards an album this year. Didn't hate it? But also didn't love it?
So you‘ve just learned about the large grey area in between black and white?
42 years later, Metallica remains rock hard!
They should really see a doctor.
I'll have what THEY'RE having 🤓
Me too
I want MetallicA to make a whole album of new original songs in the style of Acoustic Pandemic Blackened
Oh god
YES
As a life long fan of the band that was one of the worst things to come from the pandemic. That song sounded like a single dad trying to fit his beer gut into his high school graduation year jersey.
@@jimjam1556 you described the sound perfectly, that's why I want it, Tueeesday's gooooone with the wiiiind 🎵
Even so, maybe its because my expectations were low given that the singles they put out first were the weakest and least interesting songs in the album (maybe they did that on porpuse?) but I think this is better than hardwire.
metallica makes a song and adds to it and don't know when to stop, my biggest criticue to this album is that some of the songs just go on for ages.
nothing against long songs, i love justice and their instrumentals but these songs almost lack direction and purpose, they are playing it safe which i get and these songs are not bad, they are just there.
after lux i was so hyped for this album and i wasn't expecting the next RTL or MOP or anything but i was expecting a bit more than this to be honest
it's not bad but it isn't good either but it still sounds like metallica and feels like metallica, i give it a 6/10, maybe a 7 after a few more listens
Bad times when I give a Metallica ablum a "didn't listen" and a Megadth record a "wouldn't play again".
metal is a genre about its underground and always will be
I usually agree with fantano, but I think this album was better than the last one and actually it's pretty good i'll give it like a 7.5-8.
72 Seasons is definitely one of the Metallica albums of all time
oh no that title would go to either Load or Reload
@@NatsumiMovies at least Load and Reload were original and inspired
@@socialxperiment3162 thank you
@@NatsumiMovies Load and Reload are very good.
@@socialxperiment3162 load and reload are truly one of the Metallica albums of all time.. clearly
The best way I would describe this album is if it came on the radio, I wouldn't be turning the station but I also wouldn't be happy it came on. Just eh alright I guess I'll leave it on.
just fyi this guy gave Fear Inoculum a 4 and Impera a 5. He has no idea how to listen, let alone review, rock music.
Love this comment!
My peronal favorite aspect of this new album is James' vocal performance. He has so much power and sustain in his voice, and that comes through almost every song in this album.
As a die-hard Metallica fan, you echoed my thoughts pretty much verbatim
metallica just doesn't have it any more. just boring dad rock riffs with Kirk absolutely abusing the wah pedal as if he's a catholic priest and the wah is an altar boy. Pass.
