- MARIOTHON GAME 3: Today we are beating Mario Kart 7 (3DS) on our quest to beat every Mario game!
🔸🔹 WHAT IS THE MARIOTHON YOU ASK? 🔹🔸
The Mariothon is the ultimate Mario challenge for any gamer! It was created by DGR_Dave and he is currently on a quest to finish the first ever official Mariothon!
So...what's the challenge, you ask? The goal of the Mariothon is to beat every single Super Mario video game ever made. This includes all first party games and licensed games in which Mario is a playable character. Mariothon also includes other video games in which Mario has a prominent supporting role. That's over 150 titles, across 15 gaming systems (and counting)!
Once completed, you can say that you've been there for every quest Mario has ever taken since his humble beginnings in 1983.
What counts as “beating” a game is subjective and will vary drastically depending on the format. Many games can be crossed off the list by completing an any%-style playthrough, but some others will require more creative definitions of completion.

I genuinely believe MK7 has one of the best track selections pre-8DX; the amount of quality retros combined with the new courses is crazy good!
Facts, k have 8 deluxe and mk7 on my old new 3ds xl and I still play mk7 😂
Glad I'm not the only person who believes this. I may even go as far as saying that it has the best track selection ever, including mk8 dx and its booster course pass. The booster course pass, in my opinion, makes the courses feel less special.

Mario Kart 7 is my childhood Mario Kart. I first played it in 2015 and I still have the game. I remember so many memories with it.
I spent at least half of my childhood on this game, I love MK7 so much.

My only complaint with MK7 is the camera, I wish it pulled back more in some cases, it's hard to see going up hills. But MK7's Rainbow Road is my favorite one.

It's named after the Kalahari Desert in Botswana and I guess they thought it would be a funny pun with calamari.

Mario kart 7 was one of my childhood games. (and still is) On the first Nintendo I had, I had Mario kart 7. And pretty much on every 3ds and 2ds I had.

@@yohoopyo in all technicality, even though it locked on before he crossed the finish line, it didn't physically touch him until afterward. So it would not count, even if he had a star. It's all about looking very closely at the timing

I guess I was just so on the fence because it was just so amazing that it could take either position, but really the loose set of requirements did not give a solid indication on the ruling. Leave it to me to take it way too seriously ig 🤷♂️ 😂 that's all I have to say on that

The first person mode brings me back, that was actually my preferred way of playing when I first got the game... seeing and playing it again years later made me realise how much scenery I missed xD

I used to play a lot of Mario Kart, but I've almost not touched this game entirely. My last heavily played Mario Kart was Double Dash, and it was awesome!

I really thought that they patched that super shortcut that you took. Also, really loved this game. Played the heck out of it. Was a killer on SNES Rainbow Road.
And THIS is the reason I trained only on 150cc Star Cup. Because it is a nightmare to get 1st for all 4 tracks during a grand prix.
For anyone that doesn't know, you can hit people with the tail, and you go into 1st person/tilt control mode with the up button.

Great game, the 3D is really nice on it too! I like the download play option where you can connect with other 3DS system with only one cartridge. Wish they had an option like that on the Switch even if the other players had to be shy guy.

I only got a DS but for some reason just NEVER HAD Mario Kart DS
And obviously Mario Kart 7
I’ve only ever played these tracks on Mario Kart Tour (I know but hold on)
But just from looking at this, I would have LOVED this game. The track selection is like almost if not perfect getting the best of the Mario Karts I grew up with which was Double Dash And Wii
Along with amazing new tracks at the time that I would have loved.
One day maybe I’ll try this, but just MAN, does that look fun!

Mario kart 7 is my all time favorite mario kart game, when I was 6 or 7, I got a 2ds with a free download of mario kart 7, and I was playing it all the time, when I wasn't playing pokemon of course, this was around 2013 to 2014, and the 2ds with the free mario kart 7 download was from gamestop
To this day i still have mario kart 7 for my 3ds …i want to play it again
