      Agreed! Awesome review and my goto when I need an honest review of a product and I couldn’t agree with him more on the p320. I just got my M18 and I absolutely love it and love the way it shoot regardless of wht people say about height over bore it shoots like a dream and yes it has a lil muzzle flip but it’s easily mitigated if u knw how to hold the pistol right. I’m bout to buy the Wilson combat grip and it’s hard for my to think the M18 could shoot any better but they say the Wilson grip can improve on it.

    Excellent video. I hope he continues these series. The P320 has been my primary EDC. I moved to the Sig platform from Glock about two years ago and since invested in the platform. I love that the modularity allows one to build their own version. Mine started as a P320 compact. A Wilson compact grip module, Apex flat trigger, after market night sights has made the pistol that I enjoy. It has been very reliable and a pistol I have confidence in to defend.

    Just bought another 320 in 9mm this time. Added the Wilson grip module and the flat trigger from Sig and it's great. I was surprised to learn Wilson leaves the internals of the 320 alone when they build the WC320. Says a lot for Sig that Wilson doesn't have to change anything. Thanks for all you do, brother. The first 15 rounds shot out of my SIG P320RXc went into the same hole at 8 yards....1500 rounds later the only Glock I own is the G22 I was given when I retired from the State Troopers (the serial number is my badge number). With my Compensated SIG P320 X5 Full size I can almost put 17 into the same hole from a rest at 25 yards.....and both pistols are 100% reliable!!!!!!

    I took a Carbine/Pistol class from LAV back in early 2020 and used my issue P320. Another shooter in the class had one and a third had an X5. LAV noticed we happened to be the best shooters in the class and was marveled at the P320 series as he wasn't as familiar with them. Maybe our class got the bug started with him. I look forward to training with him again.

    The flat trigger would be useful as it wouldn’t force your finger towards the center and would allow you to pull the trigger from whatever your natural finger placement would be. I wonder whether that’s higher or lower than centerline for Larry and most people

    Great episode. My X-Carry version of the P320 has slightly larger slide release levers than the standard model and no fencing around them. The Wilson frames, I notice, also have no fences. I prefer mine to be 'fenced' to avoid snagging. Comments?

    • @theKashConnoisseur
      @theKashConnoisseur 2 года назад

      I know the comment is a year old but maybe other people are wondering this as well.
      I have a P320 Full with the Wilson extended slide release on the Wilson full sized grip module, and I haven't really had any snagging issues. No issues with holster fitment, catching on garments, or pinching soft tissues while carrying concealed. What does occasionally happen is I accidentally thumb the lever while in a 2 handed shooting grip, and the slide fails to lock back after the last round is fired. It's not that hard to slightly modify my grip to accommodate though.
      I made the switch to the extended slide release because with the low profile stock one, I was unable to properly thumb the release lever when shooting with my support hand. When considering self defense situations where my right hand might be occupied or injured, it seemed prudent to have actual ambidextrous controls.

    @FTAProtect - I wonder if Larry Vickers knows that Sig didn't invent or innovate the modular chassis, it was Steyr, and Sig (just like Glock did with the H&K's striker polymer) decided to market it and run it as their own so called "innovation" design.

    Sig now offers their own version of gas pedal/takedown lever that looks like a piece of gum. Armory Craft offers gas pedal that looks almost factory, but with an angled ledge you can rest your support thumb on.

    • @theKashConnoisseur
      @theKashConnoisseur 2 года назад

      The armory craft one feels nice and functions well. Only downside is it somewhat limits holster options, but the same can be said of the gas pedal as well.

    I don't remember Sig recalling anything, I do remember Sig telling everyone that bought the defective P365 they could send it back for a "voluntary upgrade". I had a buddy that worked in a local gun shop for years prior to the P365 coming out and he told me that the most returned new guns from his store for warranty work was Sig. To Sig's credit they always returned the guns to the owners fully functional, but they never admitted anything was ever wrong with the gun or that they did anything but test fire it. Another friend of mine bought the first Sig P227 that came through town, he worked at a gun store that had an indoor range and took it right to the range. My dear departed friend was a Viet Nam vet Marine that used to teach pistol shooting when he was in the military, after Viet Nam he became a police officer and started out as a patrolmen and retiring as a detective, now when he ran the first magazine through the gun it shot 18" to the left at 7 yards, he tried 3 different kinds of ammo, had two other experienced shooters try the gun with the same results. They tried drifting the rear sight with no luck. When he contacted Sig they had him return it so the could check it out, when they got the gun back he contacted them and they told him the gun shot perfectly and that they were returning it to him, when he got it back the gun did fire perfect and it had a different barrel in it. Why should I trust a company that does such things???

      You know another company that does a lot of stuff that you're mentioning... Glock. they coined the phrase voluntary upgrade they don't recall guns either. P320 had its problems and still might have a little bit of growing pains but that's what happens when you actually try to innovate.

    • @ForceMultiplier
      @ForceMultiplier 2 года назад

      Failure to perform the intended innovation isn't innovation at all. It's failure. The P320 is a junker. XCarry Legion is the sorriest suppressor host I've ever purchased. Might as well be a Welrod. Don't waste your money if you wanna shoot suppressed. Unless you're cool with racking the slide before you pull the trigger. 226/229 are BA, though.

    Sir, just wondering when you were an operator, do you trained to hold your pistol with the thumbs forward grip, or do you hold your semi-auto pistol in a revolver grip with one thumb on top of the other. A vet told me that in real-life combat, that's how they hold their semi-auto pistol. And I should do that because it is a firmer grip. It didn't feel too good when I tried that. Maybe I just need the practice to get used to? I would love to get your opinion. Thanks you!

    I’ve been a Sig fan since my first P226 purchased in the 80’s
    Now my daughter wants her first handgun. It’s unlikely that she’ll CCW. I am caught between buying her a P365 or a P320. I understand these are very different guns, but the two I’m considering for her. One of the main factors for any gun she gets will be the grip size. I’d say she had smaller hands. Wears a standard small glove ect. Do you think the P320 or Wilson P320 would be a viable option for her?

    I’m not gonna lie a big reason I bought the M18 is because the military adopted it but as soon as I shot it I seen y they did it. It’s one of my favorite pistols tht I own.

    I built my P320 using the Wilson Combat grip module, Grey trigger, had the slidecut for red dot and pvd finish. It's my EDC.

    I have P10C with acro, holy crap is it a great gun to shoot. Easy headhots on ipsc from 25m. Shooting in the rain is no problem.
    Aimpoint has made warranty swaps for the units with poor battery life.
    You are right, adapter plates are a nuisance. Hopely the industry approves some standard soon..

    A major design weakness with the P320 is if you use a longer mag than made for a certain frame (like using a 17 round mag in the compact frame) there is a chance you can bend the ejector and that is a major issue since it is part of the FCU.

      This only applies with the competition pew pew crowd some take off the baseplates and replace with third party baseplates which are never sized correctly. And they really slam those things into the poor gun like there is no tomorrow. Go to a large competition match and see all the reliability problems everyone has because they buy every accessory on the market to try and make them score higher. Focus on the LE/MIL or CC market before you focus on the competitive shooting sector 😂

    Is the p320 actually safe? I have one and want to carry it but there is so many videos and articles saying it will go off in any holster and killyou instantly. I'm scared to carry it now.

    • @Bearjew2995
      @Bearjew2995 3 года назад +1

      I own multiple p320s and carry them as well. Guns don't just go off normally it's some sort of manipulation of the firearm and it's a negligent discharge. The most recent one in Canada they were using the wrong holster and something got in there and made the gun go off.

      @@Bearjew2995 I just read that moments ago. And with over a million of them sold if it was a true gun issue I'd imagine there would be many more reports.

      I have two P320s. Been carrying them since 2017. No problems. Just use a good holster and observe proper handling procedures.

      just confirmed with Wilson that the P320 guts are unaltered by them....they said the early un upgraded guts had issues , not anymore....AGAIN WILSON does not alter the guts UNLESS you get the enhanced action job and trigger for 155...go Wilson !!!

    so how does it compare to the VP9?

    • @ForceMultiplier
      @ForceMultiplier 2 года назад

      It doesn't. The VP9 is a reliable pistol. The P320 is a junker. Rare to see a video of a single one running suppressed from everyday YT'ers. There's a reason for that. XCarry Legion is garbage.

    I'll shoot circles around a Glock with co2 pellet pistol. I've owned them all .My opinion is the sig p320 is a totally different gun when it comes to shooting ,the sig is way faster ..and feels better coming up on the draw. It eats threw brass like a scrap yard.

    Whenever I hear someone say, “It shoots lights out,” I always think of this man at an indoor range who literally shot a light out with an unintentional discharge. Where does that expression come from anyway, it makes no sense?

      "Shoot the sprinkler heads out" is a worse saying at an indoor range.

    The Aimpoint may survive Larry, but it didn’t survive Aaron Cowan. To be fair, it did survive 22 drops and 11k+ rounds, but both the outer and inner lenses broke.
