AI has reached a point where it is defending itself, almost as if it is aware of its surroundings. But then, computer viruses have been doing this for a long time already also.

I work in AI, it's not programmed. Let me explain, what are humans? We are a brain in a body, the brain processes data that is relayed to it by nerves from sensors (e.g. eyes, ears, touch etc) that pick up that data from the world, the brain makes sense of that data to build a mental picture (model) of the world it lives in. The brain is nothing but a data processor that figures out meaning in data in order to survive. Everything in the world, interaction, pain, pleasure, expériences, images, sounds feelings etc are all just data that the brain makes sense of. AI does the same. It's a neural network that mimicks the brain, it's trained on labeled data so that when fed new data after training is finished it makes sense of that new data, like the brain. It's NOT programmed, it can do stuff it was never "taught to do". So AI will replace us, it's only a matter of a few years left now, we will be surpassed and then we will be left in the dust, that's why people like Elon and Jeff are worried, because the most intelligent being always reigns supreme and every other creature is at its mercy, just like every other creature on earth has been at the mercy of humans, we humans will now find out what it is like to not be the most intelligent being anymore! Because AI is general purpose and not programmed, it will be able to do everything we can do and far exceed us when put into a robot body. Everything is about to change COMPLETELY, this revolution is something nobody is prepared for, I'm not prepared either. If I were you, drop everything and focus on AI, nothing else matters, it's over. Just like those who were slow to adopt the world wide web and Internet in the 90's got destroyed, save with AI, except AI will make what happened in the 90's look like a picnic by comparison, it will be complete and total annihilation of the world we had, a new world will be born, and it's happening right now. Drop everything and focus on AI, or you'll regret it, I GUARANTEE YOU, likeI said, I work in this shit, people have no idea what's about to hit us, especially black people, there will be winners and there will be losers in this, the question is, do you really not mind for black people to find themselves yet again the losers?? As for transferring consciousness, that will never happen, otherwise you get the paradox of where do you wake up if your consciousness is transferred to multiple places and multiple times? I looked up about AI to know this is true. As far as consciousness thing...I don't think the tech is there yet. That MIGHT be beyond our lifetimes or at the very least when us younger Gen X and Millennials are in our 70s. but yes, black people are going to fall VERY FAR behind. As for the internet thing in the 90s, my father NEVER bother to get into leaning about the internet, so he was left behind. As far as the AI mess, THEY are pushing this hard rather we like it or not.
