- Hi everyone
Today, she’s here, DUN DUN DUN!!! I’m not wearing a mask because Fay and I do see each other outside frequently and we are very, very safe outside of the house.
Fay’s picked the palette so we’re also showing you how we narrow down the three million colour choices into a viable palette. So we swatch them and Fay gets rid of one’s she doesn’t want.
She decided on:
- Pure Brown, Belgian Fountain, Inferno, Amber Lights, Cosmopolitan, Aztec Copper, Meringue, NG-CH-B414, and obviously, Natural Beige and Clear Acrylic Powder.
All acrylics and glitters that were swatched are listed below though, in case you like any of them. And we’re going to do TIPS! We’re not sculpting them, we’re doing tips. You can look at applying tips more in-depth on this video - • Acrygel Overlay using ... . I’ll size the tip and then apply glue to the edge and then press on the nail. I’m going to pinch the nails and cut them into the Modern Almond shape. I’ll then file the sides, check the contact area, and then blend the tip into the natural nail.
I’m going to start with a smile line in Natural Beige on the middle two fingers. I’ll file the smile line edge to make it super sharp. I’m then going to use a blend of our chosen colours to create an ombre effect for the tip. I’ll finish it off with some more glitter and gold shards. I’m going to cap in clear for strength and finish these off in the next video.

I've been doing my own nails for a couple years now and I have to say, I learned more from you than I have from a class I took! The girl there called pinching a ''trend'' and insisted a wooden pusher was enough cuticle prep 🤢 If I ever feel unsure I can always rely on your channel, you've done videos on everything and you always explain every last detail! The real fear here is with long nails built with tips if you hit them unlike sculpting nails they are way more likely to split up the center cracking the natural nail , with a sculpt it will crack at the end of the natural nail free edge.

I don’t think she’s had those colours, but maybe the glitters possibly. I’ve never seen someone so excited for nails. Mine are just red with one chrome and one chunky glitter. One good thing about being home is I can where nails at home, but not at work. Hope your doing well out there? These are so nice. 💅

You should do a challenge type video where you create a set of nails based only on instructions given by Fay... you don’t use your knowledge of acrylic nails and you don’t prompt her... I think that may be a really fun video to watch... not sure if it’ll be fun to film though 😂😂

I'm really curious now, what is Fay's accent? I haven't heard Fay so excited over swatches or colors before and I can stop smiling whenever Fay does this squeal of joy whenever she sees the swatch. Whenever I hear her speak, I can't help but think of her accent.
