Fay's Most Traumatic Experience | Lockdown 2 Nails!

Today THE FABULOUS FAY IS BACK, for her Lockdown 2 nail removal!
Even though we should only be in lockdown for 4 weeks, it might be longer so we’re prepping Fay’s nails for a long lockdown now so she doesn’t have to do it herself like last time.
We’ve got a lot going on with these nails too, so it’s a good chance to show you how to remove these techniques.
We’re going to start by cutting the nails off above where the natural nail ends. I’m then going to take the remaining stones off by cutting the acrygel underneath the stones. I’ll use an electric file to remove the bulk of the nail so the soak off it quicker. I’ll wrap the nails in an acetone soaked pad and tin foil to melt the acrylic so we can just scrape that off and then file the remaining acrylic with a buffer.
I’m going to do my cuticle work with an efile today so it’s all nice and pretty and we can get as close to the cuticle as possible with the product. I’ll then use a 240 girt file to file the nails into a square shape.
I’m going to dehydrate and base coat the nails before using Builder Gel and two coats of Devil’s Shadow and finishing with Top Coat and cuticle oil.

I’ve been here for year and I swear I’ve never seen Fay natural nails in all her glory...2020 is a crazy year after all...
Ive only seen them when her acrylics get removed before a new set is put on.
She gets one nail on a video, then she makes a different video. Why because the nails takes hours to do.

Being immune compromised, I was grateful to be a nail tech and be able to do my own. But it was very hard for many of my clients. Luckily most of them, I had talked into preparing for lockdown last time and we have gotten everyone prepared this time 💜

Yes but could you imagine, put yourself in kirstys shoes, Faye in her home, and even though she wouldnt need a fill but every four weeks, at most three..... Faye would be once a week, "I need a fill", "I have a chip", "I need a re design", "I need new bling" , "I want different colors now, tired of these colors" ...... poor kirsty, as much as she loves Faye, and much as we all love Faye, I wouldnt wish that on kirsty!!! Haha. Sorry Faye, if ya read this, love ya, but you could drive a person (kirsty) crazy!!! Faye should just learn to do nails! Her own at least. It would be fun and she could get exactly what she wants, when she wants, if kirsty isnt able to do them. I do nails, but if I could, I'd rather have kirsty do mine!!!
It's not just nails. I had to take off mine for operation. I couldn't even type one bloody message without mistakes. Not to mention everything else. I felt like I had no hands at all. 🥺

Her nails look absolutely lovely. My nails are about the same length and I gel polish them regularly. I hate the removal process, but it lasts a lot longer than regular polish and looks so much better, so it’s all worth it.
I’m so glad I taught myself to do my own nails. Poor Fay. At least she didn’t kill her fingers this time.
She has such great natural nails, and I'm glad she made a mature decision to get something manageable just in case, though the bling did appear as expected 🤣 Fingers crossed this one ends quick, and we see some great post lockdown nails soon!

I think the biggest fear many regulars have with taking off the set, often times to give the nails a break or just out of necessity, is the fear that the natural nail will bend or break and be painful. But that's the wonder of gel. It can give you the break you need while strengthening the nail that is brittle and weak from constantly having your nails worked on. I naturally have very thin nails so I've always had to keep them very short because any length meant painful bending and tearing. Gel has changed my life.
I Absolutely Love you girls together. When I see Fays name in the description box I run and get a cup of tea and sit down in my favorite chair,(sometimes I make it a pina colada. 😉Besides the Beautiful work you do with Fays' nails, I always know I'm in for a good laugh when I watch these videos. Sorry you all are on lockdown again, I bet it's only a matter of time till we in the United States are also.

I had the same nail tech for 6 years and since Covid I haven’t gone...I miss you Tony 💜 but I’m having so much fun doing my nails. I’ve loved nails and started polishing my nails when I was 5 lol so these last few months have been challenging but so much fun! I love playing with paint designs, I got a brush set I also love stones and gems. I just got my foil transfer kit...I’m so excited. Even though Tony isn’t in my life, I look at you as my new nail tech so thanks for the videos 💜

I live in Boston and I've never really stopped being on lockdown. They did open nail salons and restaurants but I haven't gone because there have been so many outbreaks at different nail salons, hair salons and restaurants. I haven't been anywhere but the grocery store in 9 months
Wow where I live in Western Asia people didnt bring the virus there. We have an app that shows if you are clear of the virus or not. Your temp is also taken.
Same with me but I have health problems. I stayed on lockdown pretty much.
Same with me, in Pennsylvania. I live alone with no family or friends nearby to help me should I get sick, so I’m trying to be as cautious and take as few risks as possible. Good thing I’m an introvert! 😅😥

I got an acetone steamer which soaks your nails in next to no time and is consistent. Bought it when i started doing my nails at home because i am bed bound due to intractable migraine which has been on goinh for over 3y9m

I think she has beautiful natural nails. Mine are super thin and begin to curve over the finger tip. You can also bend them w/o breaking or hurting. Never have been a polish type of girl and my type of job would support it, guess that’s why I’m fascinated with this channel.

We had a second lockdown here in Victoria Australia and have finally come out the other side now with no cases for 2 weeks now , restrictions have started to ease , we’re able to see our families and friends again .. fingers crossed this is the end of it

Good luck, Fay! And I am absolutely going to have to use that builder gel technique on my own nails. They grow fast, but they're really thin and flexible and prone to tearing. I don't have acrylic skills yet, especially using my off hand, and while full cover tips are okay they're not in my skillset to fill when they grow out. But builder gel? That I can do!
