Fussy Fay Made Me Re-do a Nail!!

- Hi everyone
Today we're going to be doing Fay's other hand.
So she really doesn't like one nail because it looks too wide so we're going to start by removing that nail so with and efile. I'm going to prep the cuticles as normal and then start filling in the backs of the nails with Natural Beige first. For the nail we're redoing I'm going to create the ballerina smile line but thinner and more elongated this time. I'm then going to go in with all my glitters and cap all the nails before filing and finishing with Top Coat and Bling!

Aww I was waiting for the stone application and then you cut it all out 😫😫😫😫 I think when Fay’s in you should keep all footage and make her sets well over just the 20 minutes.. I have no problem watching a 45 minute to an hour video of just doing Fays nails!!! So pls keep EVERYTHING in when doing Fays nails please please please!!!! Thanks for sharing guys 😘😘😘😘

These turned out to be lovely, as Fay's nails ALWAYS are. She may be so picky it drives Kirsty to distraction, but she's usually right when she notices something looks less than perfect. It's just the blunt way she goes about her perfectionism that I think puts a lot of people off.

It's the stones and the nude color that make it look wide, like Kirsty says. I did have a client who was that fussy, and she talked to everyone behind my back about her complaints, but would glow in front of me. I fired her.
Ugh those clients are the worst!!
And you did right. Just because we are the clients we don't own you. I hate that kind of behavior.
I’d love to see a video specifically about how to design the bling. When I do bling it ends up looking like just a pile of shiny stones. 😕
You should go check out Sarah Burchett's channel. She's a Swarofsky certified educator in the UK, and crystals are definitely her specialty! She even offers online classes that come with certificates of completion. You might get a LOT out of her classes. I hope you check her channel out because I think she's exactly the sort of educator you're looking for in your search for crystal placement expertise.

I think that the nail also looked fatter because it was next to a nail that was optically really slimmed down by having the vertical line along the whole length, so having anything with a horizontal line next to it will always look less slim. But they came out beautiful! I would have loved to see the stone application, it's one of my favourite parts and it was cut out.

I’m so glad you recreated that nail. It really was a little out of place before and now it elongates Fay’s lovely fingers and is more congruous with the design. 💖
I think Fay wearing her nails SO long that she requires a "Fay-pex," rather than a regular apex, probably has something to do with why that nail looked wide. It's hard to have a "Fay-pex" and still have a narrow nail because the "Fay-pex" makes it hard to see where the wide spot(s) is/are. I understand it because I have a very high C-curve, as well as a *VERY* strong arch/curve down the length of my nails. Right now my nails are completely naked and if I look at my nail plate from one side or the other, the high natural apex combined with the crazy arch can make my naked nails look wide, even though my nails are actually on the small side.

Hey ladies and Adam, I love seeing Fay come by... I know you are friends, LOL I have fired clients that are as she is. It is fun to watch, but I know I can't work under such close eyes..Keep up the great videos and stay safe.
Love ur work. Would love to see Fay do your nails.. Could be similar to when Adam did them. Only question I have is, when u do a fill like on her index finger, why don't you match the beige color with the whole finger.? You can see the difference from where u stop the fill to the top of the nail. Its has a yellow tint to it.
Any nail tech in their right mind would be mad to fire a client like faye...!... She may be a perfectionist but she's got every right to have exacting standards when she's paying top dollar for a fresh competition style set every other 4 weekly visit!

Will a gel nail when nipped like the acrylic break the same? I also agreed with Fay in that I like that part of the nail slender looking. The nail tends to get bulked up because it's the apex, but if you thin the design and not bulk it up with gems you'll have perfection. It was awesome professionalism on Kristy's part to figure out and fix Fay's problem.

It’s a tiny adjustment but it’s very noticeable, it looks great
There was nothing wrong with the c-curve 😆. I think the nail was just a bit bulky on the sides.

Nails are beautiful without the bling, the large stones weren't necessary.

Fay can be picky but she is the one who is wearing those nails all the time and is paying for them. Her pickiness is justifiable.
