  • This wasn't intentional, and a new pond is cycling so they don't have to sit in plastic for the rest of summer. I use "mosquito bits," fish or water pumps to disrupt mosquito larvae. Once this was my daughter's wading pool, now a frog hatchery reclaimed by nature. It only took one rainy night for American Green Tree Frogs, Southern Toads, Cane Toads (which are invasive) Peeper Frogs, Common Green Frogs, Pickerel frogs (I may of mistaken them for a Southern Leopard Frog) and even Norther Leopard Frogs to move in.
I've noticed I'm not as good at identifying them as I once thought I was. The tree frogs and toads sit still long enough but if they other frogs spot you before you spot them, they turn into a blur. I must've not moved fast as a kid because I only remember seeing other frogs only a handful of times but now that I'm inspecting froglets, it's clear every species is represented here. Walking through my back yard makes me feel like the Moses of frogs.
I recently learned that the Atlantic coast leopard frog was mistaken for a southern leopard all the way up until 2012, maybe we'll find one of those - only identifiable by their chirp.

We are objectively terrifying creatures, our speed to frogs is similar to how titans are portrayed.

Sounds biblical. You could get one or two good RUclips videos put of hatching that frog army.

@@BrentonsFish i watched a few of your videos and im very impressed with the commentary and the little spice of humor and retro gaming soundtracks, thank you for sharing your knowledge as well, i can see your channel growing and hopefully youll be able to reach more people with that valuable knowledge. my goal after all with my channel is to inspire new aquarists to have a natural home and happy fishys cause i was once a rainbow gravel and plastic hide user and it made me cry to see my first african dwarf frogs die, i decided not to give up with my love of aquatic animals and went straight to youtube and all over forums and fb groups and local aquarists and soaked up so much information and utilized it with my own methods and style and now im very happy to wake up every day and see my success with every body of water i own never having the water changed in any of them and the animals look so healthy and happy. the point is im thankfull for all the people like yourself putting good content and information out there to help people have success instead of deaths and failed environments. I will continue to put out content of my own but will not be able to make full vids until my fishroom is complete so i can explain in depth all my methods to little maintenance and lots of happy fishys.
