    Adding some crushed coral will benefit the shrimp and snails better than cuttlebone, in my opinion, very nice tour!😊 new sub🎉 keep making aquarium videos plz.

    Never buy rocks from the pet store. Always hardware store or landscape company. Thanks for the tour!

    had the same sort of thing with red root. frog bit is strong, duckweed grows of course, and red root got left behind. they do ok for me when they're they only floating plant

      also dunno if skimmer will help. haven't tried it, but they do better for me with pretty still water, anecdotally

    My salvinia minima took out the duckweed within a few weeks

      I've got some of that growing, it's just starting up and is a very pretty floater, it's really my number one substitute I wish I picked up at the beginning. Here's to hoping the salvinia chokes my lemna minor.

    I like the red root floater but the duck weed and or heaven forbid frog bit...... ugh.

    how often do you do water change?

    • @BrentonsFish
      @BrentonsFish  6 месяцев назад

      Every 45 to 60 days. Every 30 days on the glass bottoms. The 2.5 gallons may need it around 21 days. The ponds with dirt only get topped off.

    9:18 What is the deal with the sinking 'floating' thermometers? 🌡
    I bought a few off Amazon, put them in the tank...and now lost them forever. 😢
