Mike Johnson doesn't give a crap about the safety of the students or de-escalating the situation, he was there to score political points for himself.

Speaker Johnson was campaigning in a much more sensible way than Jill Stein. She wanted attention that she did not have the power to procure legitimately for her political aspirations. Her 'support" for the demonstrations was literally and figuratively the cheapest way to promote herself. She's using the student protesters as are other entities. Her behavior using the students' protest for her personal gain seems a bit selfish.

Last week I saw a what looked like hundred of them singing and dancing a Palestinian dance with their arms linked while laughing and carrying on.
Those same students held a shabbat ceremony for the plethora of Jewish students involved in protesting israel's genocide of the Palestinians.

    Kent State shootings - May 4, 1970
The Kent State shootings were the killing of four and wounding of nine unarmed college students by the Ohio National Guard on the Kent State University campus, when National Guardsmen opened fire on students protesting the Vietnam War.
Who ordered the National Guard to shoot at Kent State?
Kent's political leadership requested that the Republican governor of Ohio, James Rhodes, send National Guard troops.
Why is the Kent State shooting important?
Four students were killed, nine wounded, and a fissure exposed in American society that shaped politics into the Trump era. To large parts of the country, the Kent State massacre was a shocking and seminal event - American soldiers gunning down white students was unthinkable until it happened.
