- Take a £4.50 or $6 dollar bottle of cheap supermarket wine, the kind you don't really even want to cook with and pass it off as wine from the finest châteaux in Bordeaux. This is a budget booze hack that will save you a small fortune, especially if entertaining ponces!

I need to make this into a drinking game!

Wow, this cheap wine now reminds me of the way the sun hits the buildings in Rome of an afternoon.#waycool

I am going to try this with 2BC. (Americans will know). Can't wait to see my friends' reactions, although I won't lie to them. I'll just let them try to figure it out and tell them afterward!

Chateauneuf-du-Pape is in the Rhone valley, cheers
He wouldn't be making the video if he had an idea
Dear Sir you made a clever video. Useful for knowledge. But I love my friends to cheat them and anyway I don't want to cheat anyone. You been helpful to my knowledge so I have something more to be careful when I am offered wine .
What's up with the port?
I need to get my guests past my rover 75, is there any way I can convince them it's a Mercedes?
LSD?
haha of course, why didn't think of that

Lol. I can't lie to my friends like that. But cute !
Even after a bottle of "Châteauneuf-du-Pape" :)
i can tell u right away u can. U r a woman...
Does this work with Buckfast 😂
so i take it u pour that bit of port in and pour it out for... multiple uses?
it leaves a residue in the carafe which flavours the wine. You could drink the port after if you wish.
@@theotherandyhamilton what if we mix it?
@siHOKi _ Well, if you mix then you get something that starts to shift towards a port profile, a strong flavour. Do so sparingly - unless that is what you want. What you don't want is something that doesn't balance, let your tastebuds decide. When mixing I do so in a shot glass first. Very small amounts, if it works small , scale up!
Isn't the point of a wide bottomed caraffe to oxidise the wine?
Ageing is what bumps up the cost of a wine. Not that I could tell but shouldn't a connoisseur be able to tell whether it has dissolved the vanillin and tannins from the cask? The other thing that ageing does is precipitate tartrates nd change the flavour.
What was the liquid you pour in the bottle before the wine? Didn't get the accent. Sorry.
Port
Thanks. Excellent video.
Aw, thank you.
Make sure you use Ruby Port and not Tawny Port if not the game is up!
LOL!
Why would I lie to my friends in the first place? A decent french wine from Bordeaux region can be bought for 15USD and that is all you need for a nice evening.
lol
Ledge😂
Ah, ta Matthew Adams.
sorry i cant lie
Dirtbag salesman!
Lie basically. When it's utter shite.
Absolutely not.
