This might be my favorite video of yours yet. Seeing you seemingly get a bit emotional while talking about being able to taste this wine because of the RUclips channel was very special. Thank you for sharing this with us
On the one hand, he's sacrificing his finances for this video, and on the other hand he's making an upfront investment on a video that will make him that amount many times over in the long-run. I love Konstantin's videos, but let's remember that RUclipsrs are running businesses, so essentially he's getting paid to drink a wine that most people will never get to experience in their lifetimes. Lucky guy!
Konstantin I was lucky enough in 98 to visit the chateau, I met Monsieur de Villaine, I got an invite via Clive Coates I used to own a bistro we sold a bit of DRC to the famous people and they allowed me to visit it was an amazing experience I went to the Chais and the cellar master ( I cannot recall his name) spoke no English we tasted all the wines, every drop left in the beautiful Riedel glasses was poured back into the casks it was an unreal moment but I have to tell you that day La Tache from the barrel was the best wine, plumper, he then opened 2 old bottles for me to taste they were so kind to me I will never forget that morning, walking through those red gates where nobody else gets a chance.........drink well keep the videos coming
He is talking about "raspberries" and "strawberries" when it's a wine made from just grapes 😂What the hell sort of a rabbit hole into winery is this... bollocks.
My arm tingled and almost dropped my cup of coffee at 7:32! Wow.. your hard work is paying off. You can put it in the books! Hope you enjoyed the rest of it with loved ones.
Amazing! No spittoon needed :) I like that Jancis Robinson has her mid 90s wine programs on YT so there she interviews Lalou and talks with renowned importers about DRC's prestige in the mid 90s saying that "some of these bottles cost hundreds per bottle". Little would they expect that it would be tens of thousands in the future :)
This was one of my favorite videos ever. I felt actually ur happiness there. My "wow moment" was last summer in north of Portugal when my uncle opened his refrigerator and asked me what I want to have. There were 3 bottles: one opened and 2 unopened. One was from douro, other from alentejo and the 3rd that my uncle had opened the day before, given by his brother in law and he didn't liked it, was a Jean Grivot Vosne-romanee 1997, I imediatly said that one, I spend the rest of a warm august day, helping my uncle finishing it under a ficus tree. Also, as we didn't have proper Pinot glasses, I improvised with gin tonic glasses😂.It was trully unexpected.
Meanwhile I'm getting drunk on my own 15% ABV wine that costs £1.30 per bottle homemade Chardonnay style plonk, drinking 1000ml to 1200ml every night getting wasted... and it's just as special. 😂You guys are a joke.
I am happy you got to enjoy such a fantastic moment. Hard work pays off. Your sitzfleisch is taking you places. Thank you for all the great videos. And thank God the La Tache was not corked.
Made me very happy to watch this, congratulations Konstantin, your content has been amazing for years it’s so lovely to see the reward for years of hard work!
My very first deep impact wow wine- moment was a Vosne-Romanee Les Genevrieres 1989 Domaine Leroy. I bought it in a wine shop in Tübingen which was owned by the parents of a school friend of mine for 89 DM! In 1994 . I will never forget this vibration and this deep silkiness, at same time the wine was that shy and modest, not loud at all. Aromas of orange, woody earth, oriental spices, pine-needles. You swim in the sea and a barely perceptible current of great force carries you away. Literally power without weight. Thank you for that very nice video.
Oh my, I have trouble spending $75 on a bottle of wine, I can't imagine spending $4000. Konstantin, you looked like a child on Christmas morning, so happy. Thank you for sharing this wine with us.
@@markevans506. . . Here’s a very simple fact about wine for you , Mark. A ‘$10 wine’ has about , wait for it … $1’s of wine content. A ‘$20’ bottle will deliver about ‘$10’s worth of wine in approximate terms; perhaps more depending on ‘overheads’ and ‘taxation’ in your home country. So, for ‘only’ paying about double - you will gain about ‘X10’-!?!.. the value. “ Buy less - but buy better “.
I’ve really enjoyed your channel since the beginning, when I was studying for my WSET 1, now a year or two after getting my level 3 pin I’m still very much a fan. It’s lovely to see this channel grow to provide you with such a special bottle. There isn’t a translation of this to English so I will just say it in Dutch, “Ik gun het je van harte”
I’ve had the opportunity to taste many a great wine over the years. Most of those came through the courtesy of wine distributors, or through the generosity of oenophiles with much deeper pockets and extensive cellars than I could imagine or ever realize. It was a 1966 DRC La Tâche at 28 years old that a customer brought in to have with a special meal that he had arranged in advance to have the head chef prepare for him. It was Fettucine Alfredo. Simple enough for him to prepare, but what made it special was the shaved white truffle that the patron brought along with him to top the dish. I was the only food server with some knowledge and appreciation of wine, and so he poured a taste for me. It was ethereal. The finish lasted five minutes, and I could think of little else for days.
My “WoW” wine was a 05’ Anne Gros Echezeaux Grand Cru. A wine shop owner poured it for me and started my wine obsession. My wife and I honeymooned in France and got to meet Anne Gros and barrel tasted her Richebourg. We have 2015 in our cellar we plan on opening on our 10th anniversary in 2026. We will be a bit nervous opening it as well. The wine is currently valued around the $2000 range, and crazy to think we’re just going to drink it. When I tried DRC La Tache, the purity stood out, near flawless Not the best wine ever, but extremely memorable.
the way your eyes lit up while having the first taste of the pairing with pate is a sight that is the best gratidude you can see in somebody's eyes while serving them wine! thank you Konstantin for trying those wines and sharing this with us, great video as always!
My wow moments have always revolved around more than just the wine. Sipping a Sandemans 40 year tawny looking out over the river in Porto, or doing a premium tasting at St Supery in Napa with thier oldest employee who was a fan of the Dodgers since the Brooklyn days talking baseball while he poured so many tastings of amazing wines, only to be joined by a couple and the guy was a fraternity brother of mine. It's the special moments that a really good wine gets paired with that has set it apart for me. I am sure they aren't as special I hold them in my mind.
Congrats Konstantin! My wow moment was tasting across all ‘82 First Growths plus some ‘82 Super Seconds (eg, Las Cases, Palmer, etc) and Pomerols 15 years after the vintage in ‘97.
You looked so completely happy doing that! Like a kid in a candy store. You made me go to the kitchen for a glass of wine and a snack. I've been enjoying your videos for some time. Thank you!
Thank you Konstantin, your reaction to the wine and food pairing is quite a sight. I almost felt like I was there, tasting both with you. Thank you for being so humble about your success. You definitely have a fan in me.
Thanks for another lovely video, great content as always! I've never been fortunate enough to try a DRC but it's on the agenda for 2024, hoping for an experience like yours. To your question, my "wow" moment was with a 1989 La Mission Haut-Brion a few years back. An absolute gem, perfect balance between ballerina and heavy weight boxer. Silenced the table, produced some tears and a great memory to be shared for years with family and friends. Cheers!
There is no perfection, but moments like these are damn close. My first moment like this? When I first tasted a 2001 Montrachet Grand Cru, from Bouchard. I was in front of true greatness. The second one? When I popped the cork of a 1973 Montrachet (yes, again!), from Auguste Morey-Genelot. It was like being struck by lightning. I never encountered such precision and focus for a white wine more than 40 yrs old. But the chance of sharing that wine with some of my friends made the moment "more" perfect.
Awesome content, really appreciate the emotional response to the pairing for the pate with the wine. I’m an Aussie and my La Tache moment came on a rainy night in a caravan with family when I paired a 1984 Seppelts Show Sparkling Burgundy with goats cheese. Never forget it.
I’m not a professional but quite a experienced drinker, I visited winery Montecalvi in the Chianti Classico region. This was THE example of how the people behind the wine, make the wine. A light, fresh and fruity 100% Sangiovese which was almost like a nice northern Pinot noir/sparburgunder. Back home I cooked it and drank it around 15 Celsius. I had a lovely visit there and had a really nice time listening to the very well knowledged people explaining their methods. Absolutely not the best wine ever, at this point far from it, but a lovely experience with absolutely lovely wines. Hope they will keep doing what they’re doing.
What a wonderful video and a well deserved treat. You express your love of wine so clearly that we watch all of your videos with great anticipation. As someone who has only tasted 5cl of DRC from an extortionate cruover which was past its best, I envy you this opportunity, but it couldn’t happen to a nicer RUclipsr 😊
Congrats Konstantin! I had the privilege to taste 8 vintages with Aubert de Villaine, including La Tâche 2013. My wow moments ? Bâtard-Montrachet 07 at the Domaine, Romanée-Conti 2010 and 2015. I have no words to describe such wines.. .Cheers
Wow what a special moment! I am pretty sure that I will never get a chance to taste anything from DRC, but I feel like I just got a sip of this too while watching you describe the experience. So happy for the success of this channel! Hands down the best wine channel on internet.
In the city i live there is a 2 michelin star restaurant offering a special wine pairing using the coravin system. It isn't cheap but you get to taste some wines otherwise to expensive for a wine pairing. Often they use a DRC wine for the meat course and so I had a glass of DRC st vivant marey monge. I had the fear that it would be underwhelming compared to the expectations you have tasting such a wine, but it was outstanding and really beautiful!
Great video. Would love to hear how it evolved over the time you drank it Konstantin! One of my great wine moments was tasting through the '04s (E, GE, RSV, R, and LT) with AdV himself at a pinot noir event here in Australia, I think back in 2006 or 2007. Not the greatest vintage, but I mean...🤷♂. The pours were generous enough that I was able to hold onto a little of each until after the tasting and sneak the glasses back to my hotel room to linger over them without distraction. I had only been in the industry for 5 years or so back then, and I couldn't believe this was happening to me. It was as if there was a movie star in my room.
Would love another video discussing your view on diminishing returns in the wine world and where you seem to get best qpr for different price ranges for different categories of wine!
You seem so happy and almost giddy as any one of us would be as well. I am so glad that it was not corked or a disappointment. I think this is as close as I will ever get to La Tache! Thanks
Loved, loved the video. To hear someone taste such an expensive wine, rate it a 97, and then say it’s not perfect is honesty at its best! It is always the moment, surroundings and accompaniments (which includes the 3 F’s - food, family and friends) that make it perfect. Kudos to you.
One of the most rememorable moments was tasting a zip of the Niepoort 1863 Colheita in Vila Nova de Gaia ...the same wine which is sold in the Lalique Bottle. This wine gave me goosebumps, and I still could taste it on the palate 10 minites later... besides the pure gift of beeing able to try this wine, as you know, its just crazy to drink something harvested such a long time ago....a taste of liquid history.
Awesome video! Dream wine! My WOW moment was a 2009 Chateau Grand Puy Lacoste. After sitting in the decanter for 3 hours, my wife and I started noticing an intense floral smell that enveloped our living room! Talk about "opening up"!!
Sucha precious video Konstantin. One could feel your thrill and elevation during the tasting. Precious life moments that we could share with you in some way. Quite emotional episode, because it resonates with all of us wine lovers that also feel in heaven with a great bottle and the right food.
What a terrific video. Your respect for the wine never becomes a gushing review. It’s a serious take on a serious wine. Your food pairing was inspired, and your joy in experiencing the combination was palpable. Well done.
Watching this video again: I also purchased this Rully 1er cru a few weeks ago. I'm going to open it for my birthday next weekend. Great to have your tasting notes before I do!
Cool video, impressed to see somebody on RUclips talking about DRC. I was very fortunate in 1978 and got to barrel taste everything with the wine maker. It was without a doubt, the highlight of a lifelong obsession with great Wine. I’m just a humble chef, retired now and got lucky one day .because my friend a Frenchman and I just walked in and asked, and the wine maker said come with me, I look forward to your videos.
DUDE!!!!!! its early morning here in Oregon, and I am DROOLING on my screen! You truly ARE the Master of WIne and you deserve the experience we all can now share. ULTIMATE REVIEW !!!!! THANK YOU !!!!😛
Thanks for sharing it Konstantin! My favourite big-shot moment is either finally tasting Haut Brion Blanc after missing it for many years (its hard to find!) and just having a fresh 2014 vintage in 2017, I thought, eh at least it is the real deal but had okay expectations, but it wasn't aged nor a 100 pt vintage. Wine laughed at me .. and was AMAZING, like 98-99 point amazing, DEEP notes of "aged Riesling" that petrolium flavour, fat body, juicy, clear white Bx notes but heavy and concentrated and the almost empty glass smelled ETHEREAL! Other big moments was a Latour 1900, orig cork and seal, B stand, freaking perfect. Tasted like an exceptional 1970 red Bx or so, no signs of being 118 yrs old at the time, just UNREAL.
Konstantin, I am really glad to find your channel. You are a very serious MW and you have an amazing personality 👍🏻. Also thanks for all the tips that you sharing with us. Greetings from Nafplio 🇬🇷 🍷
Hi KB, just wanted to say how much I enjoy your channel. The bit I love the most is your lovely humility towards the privileged position you have. This is what makes your videos so watchable. 👍👏
Wonderful video. It made my day to see you enjoy such a special wine/occasion. More power to you Konstantin for sharing this unique wine with many of us geeks that will never get close to this experience any other way. Looking forward to more content in the future, Richard (Sommelier)
Thanks to YOU Konstantin. You provide us with the same pleasure with your delightful videos to 25k plus people.every time. Absolutely deserve this treat.
Hi Konstantin, I found your RUclips channel a couple of years ago when I was doing my WSET Level 3 and have always enjoyed it. While I have never had the pleasure of a DRC La Tache or Romanee Conti, I was able to have a tasting almost 40 years ago of a 1923 Les Richebourgs and I was actually able to purchase two (yes 2) bottles from the owner who initially purchased several bottles from an auction in the UK. It was truly spectacular, and I still have one of the empty bottles that I keep in my cellar as one of my greatest memories ever. Thanks for always sharing your knowledge and insight - and I really enjoyed watching you in ENVY being able to drink this bottle of La Tache ;-) Cheers !
Thanks Konstantin for sharing this tasting of your bottle of La Tâche. My wow wine experience was tasting a Château d'Yquem 1919, must have been in 2008 or 2009,. What was really amazing was the freshness it still had, the citrus and grapefruit notes. I just had the chance to be at the right place at right moment when staying with my friends who run a very nice hotel and restaurant in Scotland. I had more than once wonderful wine tastings when staying at their place.
Thank you for your beautiful use of the English language in this and all your videos. I know you have to be creative to describe these wines, but your mastery of the language is a testament to your hard work and expertise.
this was a lot of fun! thanks for bringing us with you on the journey. it would be cool to turn the camera on a few different times as you enjoy the wine over the hours to tell us how it evolves. congrats on the experience!
Only a few wines are burned into my long-term memory as absolute stand-outs. The first one is indeed a glass of La Tache I had around 1985 (unknown vintage). Another one deep in my memory is a Barolo Falletto 1978 by Bruno Giacosa.
Fantastic video, Thanks for sharing this with us. Heck, even I felt a bit touched, just by watching. :) For me, I have a few moments which were just fantastic. A couple of years ago I tried a bottle of 2013 Shafer One Point Five, absolutly stunning Napa Cab blend. It was magic, and since then I have bought alot of Shafer bottles. ALso, last summer I opened a bottle of Krug vintage 2000, which was absolutly fantastic as well. Now, those two one would probably know in advance were good. The biggest surprise to me was when I opened a bottle of 2004 Dom Perignon Rosé last year, which was near perfection. I did not see that one coming at all, to be so good and well balanced as it was. It sure is a fantastic little hobby we have, that's for sure!
I really feel happy seeing you, SO happy tasting this divine combo! Well deserved, and thank you so much for sharing! As for my unique moment, I cannot upload a pic, but I did commission a painting from an artist, of a stunning 2011 Riesling GG that blew my mind - I’m sure you, of all people, get the feeling.
Great video - totally enjoyable! As you asked for our special wine moments: One of mine just happened recently when I had a guided cellar tour through the cellars of the Palais Coburg in Vienna. They have a huge collection, and in every room we could blind-taste one wine. In the French cellar we got a Chateau Ausone 1981. It was fantastic: very elegant, subtle - not an "in your face"-wine, but something to explore. It wasn't the best wine I've ever tasted but to taste it in a fantastic cellar like the Palais Coburg's one made it really special. Plus: I got it right that it was from the right bank of Bordeaux. I just was off with my age estimation, putting the wine in the early 90s, but I'm really proud of myself to have been that close as I'm not good at blind tastings and I see myself still as a wine novice. So that was quite something for me. And to be there, to have that close call, to share this excellent wine with my wife in this fantastic setting made my day perfect.
Love your videos over here in the UK Konstantin! My “wow” moment was tasting an amazing Chablis Grand Cru - it was so perfect it didn’t even taste like wine - it was the nectar of the Gods! Perfect balance, zero harshness and incredible complexity and finish. Although it was expensive, it was actually great value compared to other parts of Burgundy. Will you do a video about Chablis?
I commented about my premiere win experience on your video of tasting a bottle of Petrus, about 11 months ago. Rather than repeat myself, I direct you to the comment there. A similar DRC experience, not expected to happen, is at the top of my bucket list. Having said that, I never would have dreamed that my Petrus experience could ever happen, but it did.
The only thing nearly as good as experiencing nirvana is watching someone else approach it! Bravo, I applaud you having this opportunity and I hope to have a chance myself at some time in my life. Wine is about creating and sharing good memories ❤
I’m relatively new to wine (and relatively broke), but i would say a recent wow moment was eating leftovers from christmas dinner (especially a steak and porter pie) paired with a very affordable Georgian Saperavi. The blackberry, redcurrant, black tea, charred cinnamon, and black pepper notes along with the long finish really made the whole meal a beautiful, meditative experience. The view from my window of the temperate rainforests of the PNW made it even more special imo
You are a true legend, sharing this special moments with your audience!! 🥰🙏🏻 remarkable, and noble to do so 🎉 my favourite DRC moment was a 2014 Richebourg. And it beat the St vivant and Echezeaux 1996 by far. Tasted the same year. Cheers 🍷
Thank you Sir for this memorable tasting! My wow moment in red Burgundy was a 1959 Beaune Clos des Ursules (Jadot), tasted in 1989. Such a finesse! Oh, and the Musigny of the Domaine de Vogüé (any year!) In white, the Musigny from the same domaine is amazing (and quite rare). Have you tasted it? The most surprising: aligoté Sous Châtelet from Domaine d'Auvenay. Stunning! I did not expect that at all!
What a great video! I'm never going to buy DRC, so this was really interesting. My wine moment came 20+ years ago when I was invited to an epic tasting in a cellar in Paris. The evening was all legendary Bordeaux reds, served with a Lebanese stew cooked on a camping stove. By the end of the night the host and cellar owner was in a great mood and unexpectedly produced a bottle of 1921 Chateau D'Yquem. Nobody else there cared at all, but I had never tasted Yquem and, when that treacle coloured liquid hit my taste buds, I was absolutely transported.
A couple of wow! moments for me: the first wine that got me into wine was 1992 Opus One. I was young and just out of college and didn't know that wine could taste so good. I was hooked! More recently, a bottle of 1947 Borgogno Riserva Barolo & a bottle of 1976 Villa Mt. Eden Cabernet Sauvignon (Napa Valley). It's just astounding what great winemakers can make and how long their wines can last. Both still retained fruit and body with very elegant, balanced structure. Finally, 1973 Chateau Montelena Chardonnay. This wine blew me away because I had no idea that Chardonnay could last so long with such delicious character and perfect balance.
Wonderful! Congratulations on that terrific experience. Really enjoy your videos. My “high-point” experience was in 1980 or 1981. I was invited to a tasting at the San Francisco Vintners Club of the 1961 first-growth Bordeauxs. (La Tour was fantastic, hands down.) That evening, four of us had a couple of bottles of 1959 Chambertin Clos de Beze with dinner, and finished with a 1962 d’Yquem - the first time I had tasted a sauternes. No, this is not my typical night out with the guys - no hot wings involved here! I’m stil searching for another day like that.
I love that you shared such a special experience on your channel. The gratitude you have is awesome!! You comment on wanting to do a tasting with the family. I would love to do one with yourself!
The closest I'll ever get to tasting a wine like this,, is watching you! :) Thank you for sharing what tasting a great wine is really like and you did an outstanding job getting the feeling across to us, your viewers! Keep up the good work and keep sharing your talent with us. Cheers!
Thank you for that great video! My Wow-Moment was drinking a Puligny Montrachet from Pierre-Yves Colin-Morey. That wine simply kept on coming, I could taste it at least for about 20 minutes after my last sip. Funnily the wine bar didn't seem to know what they were selling and that great wine was the same price per glass as some pretty average pinot grigio and lugana (nice wines, too, but not nearly on that level).
Fun and educational video, well done! 1985 JF Mugnier Musigny was my Burgundy Moment, an amazing, glorious, delicious epiphany. What is amazing in retrospect is that I tasted it in 1987, when it truly was an infant. And yet, it changed my wine drinking life forever. Cheers!
Nice one! You should make more videos like this. I dont mean only by the expensive wine, but the pairing, and the relaxing special moment feel. Many videos are technical and theyre great! But this one has a nice relaxed vibe to it that you should explore a few more times. I felt like drinking that with you.
Thank you for the video and thank you for the last presentation of california wines at wine Paris ! We can feel the emotion throughout the videos, hope you had a blast drinking it !
Love your content Konstantin! You, of all the 'VinoTubers' really deserve that La Tache! I hope you drank it all and better yet with someone you love! Keep making your lovely vids, thumbs up!
Another great video. I've never spent more than 30 dollars on a bottle of wine but the wow moment for me was discovering a particular vintage of a Gnarly Head Old Vine Zin from California that tasted as good as I ever thought wine could taste. I bought all that the wine shop had in stock and nearly cried when I ran out of it. The following vintage of the same wine was less than impressive. Thanks for allowing us to experience this very special tasting with you.
I have had the giant opportunity to attend a tasting of the full lineup of the Grands Crus from the Domaine de la Romanée-Conti, including la Tâche, from Échézeaux to La Romanée-Conti, and also le Montrachet! I was absolutely impressed by the depth of La Tâche, it has got so much to offer. Thanks for sharing this moment with us. I am already a customer of iDealwine since a long time, and they do have a great selection of young and old vintages. Cheers
Congratulations my friend, not too many people in the world are as fortunate as you to have such an iconic wine. Most of us just dream about it . Great video !!!
I can feel you so making this video !! For me DRC is the holy grail, and I too have the pictures at the Romanee Conti Vineyard. And I recognize the feeling, drinking that first bottle, about 1,5 year ago. I was working, smelling and looking at the bottle for minutes and minutes. And when I finally took a sip, a tear rolled down from my eyes. And that is quite unique for me, not so much into emotions. But this did it for me ! It was not the La Tache, but the Romanee St Vivant. Beautiful 😍😍. Is it perfect ? No, like you said, but the moment madeb it perfect !!
Congrats man!!! Awesome video as always. Regarding a great moment for me was some years ago when I decided to do my own wine for the fist time. My father and mother helped me to select nd crush the grapes (nice time with my parents) And after sometime the wine tasted very nice. Since then every year I do my own wine and it is a great hobby if you don't mind to get your hands stained for a while. I wish you success No matter if you taste cheap or very expensive wines. I like your work, as many other people do.
What a great moment! And a well deserved one. Thanks for sharing with us! My favorite wine moment was Opus One 2012 which I shared with my family a couple of years back. Fully agree with you that knowing what you drink and appreciate it might be the only time you try royalty was truly special.
That's a smile of happiness guys! :) You are lucky indeed... My Whouaa moments: Chateau Figeac 2016 - Yquem 1990 - Domaine Huet Le Haut Lieu 1989 Moelleux Première Trie - Montrachet Grand Cru 2015 - Château Chalon 2011 Bénédicte et Stéphane Tissot - Château Haut-Brion 2001 - Sassicaia 2005 (by the glass, in an Italian restaurant!)
When I started my wine career in the early 1990s these bottles were expensive, $300-$500 per bottle depending on vineyard and vintage, but even I, a lowly wine waiter, could afford one as a splurge every now and again. Also, I was able to sell hundreds of bottles over the years to many normal folks. And then the commodification of everything happened. Clueless idiots who saw nothing more than $$$$$ started "investing" in wine. This ruined the wine industry. No wine is worth this kind of money except in the minds of oligarchs and moron day traders. I will never buy these wines again, and I wouldn't even if I could. The death of the secondary market can not come soon enough.
Thanks for sharing this experience with us! I will probably never spend more than $100 on a single bottle of wine in my life, so it is really entertaining to watch whenever you make a video about expensive wines haha.
I was lucky enough to taste several DRC wines a few years ago. A revalation which has made it difficult for me as far as finding Pinot at a reasonable price anywhere. Fabulous tasting. Many thanks

This might be my favorite video of yours yet. Seeing you seemingly get a bit emotional while talking about being able to taste this wine because of the RUclips channel was very special. Thank you for sharing this with us
Thank you
My best wine moment was alone with a piece of aged parmesan and a bottle of very rich amarone ❤

La Tache 2020 99p, And La Tache 2015 98p now for sale at Bruun Rasmussen auction. World wide shipping. Chanse to get La Tache under 5000 eur😌😌
You are literally the ONLY person to open a bottle of DRC on RUclips and it’s 2024. Thank you for sacrificing your finance for us to watch you 😂
Completely echo this, thank you for not just keeping it on a shelf and looking at it. Wine like this is made to be drunk. Cheers!

@@rnjbond Trophy Wine Hunter is another one that is crazy, 😂😂 but you have very good reviews.

After sacrificing yourself tasting Aldi and Lidl wines, you certainly deserve this one! 😃
The last Aldi wine I tried "Merlot" was like vinegar. It should be illegal. Soon after that I started making my own and have never looked back.
German tax inspection: "Mr. Baum, how much tax returns for 2024 are you putting in?"
K. Baum: "yes."
All of it :))))
I have trouble spending over $10 😂
@@markevans506. . . Here’s a very simple fact about wine for you , Mark.
A ‘$10 wine’ has about , wait for it …
$1’s of wine content.
You are just too poor.
4000 is pretty reasonable for a good Burgundy
@@A1steak😂 its a rip off. And you couldn't afford it.
La Tache 2020 99p, And La Tache 2015 98p now for sale at Bruun Rasmussen auction. World wide shipping. Chanse to get La Tache under 5000 eur😌😌
the way your eyes lit up while having the first taste of the pairing with pate is a sight that is the best gratidude you can see in somebody's eyes while serving them wine! thank you Konstantin for trying those wines and sharing this with us, great video as always!
Bordeaux is for peasants
Enjoy the moment...and we value them because we know there will be an end. Great video. Happy to see you face of joy and pleasure.
I kept worrying that Konstantine was going to hit over the glass or bottle with his constant hand movement! Lol!
Me too! 😬😵
Me too. He has had a few close calls.
lol I thought the same...
Absoluter Traum, hast Du dir sehr verdient mit dem Hammer Content ! Enjoy
Totally agree, as a "epicurean french" ...
✨ All the best Konstantin ✨
Dankeschön
Great to see you so clearly delighted. A treat to view. a tasting bar opened up a '63 Graham's Port and I thought I had died and gone to heaven.
It made me happy just to see how happy you were in enjoying that magnificent wine.
Such a sweet moment, Baum. You deserve it. Dreams of DRC come true. Very happy for you!
Wonderful video and love your reaction when you paired the La Tache with that simple dish!!
THANK YOU !!!!😛
Thank you!
Thank you 🙏
Wonderful video.
La Tache 2020 99p, And La Tache 2015 98p now for sale at Bruun Rasmussen auction. World wide shipping. Chanse to get La Tache under 5000 eur😌😌
Beautiful video Konstantin! Thank you for sharing that moment with us.
Just a beautiful moment. Thanks so much for sharing it with us! A unicorn RUclips milestone. Can only imagine how it evolved after several hours
It was the delicious episode, thank you Konstantin. It did elevate the moment.
Hi Konstantin, love your content.
You said in the video that the wine was a bit shy upon opening. Did the wine improve after a few hours of opening?
Thank you 🙏
Fantastic. I got nervous when you were waving your hands around! What a treat.
I'd pair it to a confit de canard, but the wild boar patee seems to be good too.
Oh, and the Musigny of the Domaine de Vogüé (any year!)
In white, the Musigny from the same domaine is amazing (and quite rare).
Thank you !
Thank you so much for sharing that experience. Bucket list indeed. One of your best videos yet and that’s saying alot
Cheers
Thanks for sharing!
Wow! What a excellent experience. Thank you for sharing your opportunity with us.
Congratulations my friend, not too many people in the world are as fortunate as you to have such an iconic wine. Most of us just dream about it . Great video !!!
Thank you!
My father and mother helped me to select nd crush the grapes (nice time with my parents)
And after sometime the wine tasted very nice.
Since then every year I do my own wine and it is a great hobby if you don't mind to get your hands stained for a while.
I wish you success
No matter if you taste cheap or very expensive wines.
So much fun, enjoy! My top wine was a Jean Grivot, Richbourg 2007, but my recent most wow-wine was a Delas Frères Côte Rotie, La Landonne 2014.
Unfortunately this is an inevitable part of late stage capitalism.
@@koolguy728more like late stage cocaine addiction
Thanks for sharing this experience with us! I will probably never spend more than $100 on a single bottle of wine in my life, so it is really entertaining to watch whenever you make a video about expensive wines haha.
I was lucky enough to taste several DRC wines a few years ago. A revalation which has made it difficult for me as far as finding Pinot at a reasonable price anywhere. Fabulous tasting. Many thanks
That was a lot of fun! Wine is better with food and company. I hope Leon (and others) got to share in your bounty!
Thank you for allowing us to vicariously enjoy such a wine so unreachable to almost everyone. Congratulations!!
Thank you Mr. Konstantin, you said in the show "you made "this moment perfect"!
thanks for sharing. Really emotional video, above all, and I think that is one of the best parts about enjoying the work and art of winemaking.
