exactly. in that case you will need to buy the 256Gb/8 Ram to compensate the lack of SD card if you prefer use both sims alone. Also I was reading today from arena site the compare table, the A72 doesnt have UFS 2.1 to help the ram etc.
Quick recap : The only changes in the A72 are : 1. 5000 mAh battery 2. Another camera - Telephoto 8 mp 3. 90hz Display 4. IP 67 waterproof rating 5. Snapdragon 720g
It looks worse in name. But if you look at the specs of it, it is only slightly faster than 730. Small changes in proccesor frequency and little bit faster rendering that does no difference at all. If you are a starter from old S series, that phone is good for you, but always go with flagship phones they go cheaper than the midranges.
I also have the 71 4G (never heard about 5G version of it. Heard that 5G drains more of your battery)but I'm good with it,I like the water protection on the 72 cause I dropped by accident the 71 in the water and it slowly died..but they were nice enough and they changed everything motherboard was fried, screen, battery.Thumbs Samsung. Not happy about the bezels getting bigger not many changes to upgrade..
New design 90 hz refresh rate stereo speakers, waterproof most of the new features are just gimmicks in A72 because specwise they are almost the same, save the money in your pocket, the upgrade its not worth it.
I have an A71 5g and I love it. But the borders on A72 make sense as my hand on the A71 5g accidently touches. So A72 is better in a practical sense. But in happy with my A71 5g.

8:40 man are you forreal? Exynos 980 is wayyy better than snapdragon 720g heck it's even better than 765. Just because it's exynos doesn't mean that it's bad.
I’m going to buy one of these two... I’m just worried about A72 having more android system updates over time. I know A71 can upgrade to android 11 but, how many more updates will A71 get compared to A72 ?
Is the Galaxy S20 FE 5G available at you? Here in Hungary only the 4G (Exynos 990) version is officially available and the Galaxy A72 is actually WAY better performing than the S20 FE. I only have usually 3-4 hours of SoT with the S20 FE which is quite a weak result with the 4.500 mAh battery capacity. Today I only had 2 hours and 47 minutes of SoT from 100 to 4 percent of battery (6 h 5 min total time). If last year Galaxy A72 would have already been around, I would better have chosen A72 instead of S20 FE as the successor of my old Galaxy S7... I would have got a noticeably better value for the price.
@@Gothpaladinus I used the S20FE 4G with Exynos for only a year because its battery absolutely sucked and even my Exynos S22 has a better battery life.
@@jakobn2913 My story since my comment from 3 years ago is that I used my Galaxy S20 FE with Exynos 990 from 2020 October to 2023 August. After I purchased a Galaxy S22 Ultra 12/256 with Exynos 2200 in June 2023, it became my primary phone, the role of the S20 FE became secondary. In August 2023 I gave the S20 FE to my sister, because she needed a replacement phone for her old and obsolete Huawei P20 Pro that got its screen broken, so she needed something else asap. Since then she seems to have no serious issues with the S20 FE. OK, I have to mention here that just before I gave it to her I updated its software to the newest One UI (5.1) with the latest security patch, and then I did a factory reset also, so she got the phone quite purely, like if it was new. This way the SoT and the optimization is now good enough and the system is also stable. It's going to be good for her before she collects enough money for a new phone that could make the S20 FE finally get fully surpassed.
I'm glad Samsung is making the effort to emphasize audio and speaker performance. Nice to see they're adding a second audio speaker on this and the A52. For cost effectiveness, I'm gonna get the A52 instead and I think many others are going that route. The A52 has 90% of the features on this A72 already unless you want to spend an extra $150-200 for this A72. Not worth it.
Got my A71 almost three months ago when the price dropped 😂 Thank god there are no major changes so I don’t have to regret not having waited for the new release 🥳
Stereo speakers, 90Hz (or 120Hz on 5G version), IP 67 is a major change for a midrange phone. But I still wouldn't upgrade from the A71 to the A72, it's still an amazing phone.
this is pretty obvious... upgrading every year is not necessary, not worth doing. not on flagships, not on midrange phones. if you have the A71 (any version) you got yourself a good phone. If you upgrade every 3 or more years, go for the A72 as it's the latest.
I'm deciding on getting the A71 because it looks better in my opinion with the screen and the camera layout. I hate the ugly camera design on the A72. Not appealing. I'm debating on getting the A71 also because it's cheaper and I really want to return to Samsung. I'm still using my Pixel 3XL but I like Samsung for bigger batteries, SD card slot, bigger and better displays, more options of colors (something Google got lazy with) and also more customizations with the phone and the game booster app which Google doesn't have either. Pixels in my opinion are the iPhones of Android, very limited on what you can do. I don't like the restrictions so Samsung is a win for me with all that I'm looking for plus they now update their phones for 4 years so no other reason for me to stay with Google.
I am using Galaxy A72 with nova launcher as a default launcher, and the phone is so smooth. Below are some of the good features the phone comes with : A 3.5mm headphone jack Ip67 water/dust resistant Stereo Speakers 5000mAh battery capacity The phone's camera is great 25W superfast charging capability. Corning gorilla 5 It allows an additional storage of up to 1TB. The front big bezel is not noticeable. The phone is limited but not by far from those flagship features. Galaxy A71 is a great phone but I personally prefer A72.
Besides some slight performance boost, I've never really quite gotten the appeal of getting the 70 series over the 50 series, and even more so now that the processors are now exactly the same with the 50 series.
My sister bought the A51 and I bought the A71 and the comparison on the screen size on the A71 is better for someone like me who cares and likes bigger screens on my phone. Almost everything else is like you said
@@blacklungsanji3 I see... Well that okay, and though I too love the bigger screen estate for content consumption, I really hate the extra heft and bulk the bigger displays come with... This is the reason I use an S20. I'm currently in the market for a sub $500 phone for bae... So I'm honestly considering a renewed S20 which now sells for $470 usd, while the A52 5G retails for about $450 bucks, only advantage is that it's brand new though, thus, comes with a valid 24 months warranty cover.
Between the A52, the A52 5G and the A72, the A72 just isn't worth it. Buy the A52 5G. Tho I am really happy with my A71 so far and I don't think I'll be upgrading for a loooong time.
Glad i pick a71 lol. Its used for 4 months but still hold up today. A72 noticable difference is the backdoor and waterproof sertificate. Stereos speaker i already had bluetooth speaker that better than any stereo smartphones speaker nowadays, 90hz display isnt everything for me, better OIS in camera is good but not improved like i expected. Just the telephoto is the one i felt envy. Other than that its exactly the same. Glad saving a bit for a71 than brand new a72..
I think it’s worth mentioning that while the A71 takes 2 SIM cards in combination with a Micro SD up to 512Gb, the A72 only takes 2SIM cards or 1 SIM card in combination with a Micro SD up to 1Tb
That's a concern right there. Having to trade off dual sim for a memory card... Sounds like a downgrade. A71 gives you both dual with dedicated memory slot.
The A71 5g has the 765 does it not? Everything I can find says the US version of the non-UW got the snapdragon, while international 5G phones got the Exynos 980. I know on my TMO branded 5G, any spec apps I run say it has a Qualcomm chip.
@@airdropgen7051 Overall, yes. Speed is pretty good. I mean, it's no Snapdragon 888. It's a midrage phone, so I knew what I was going into. Display is great. I'm not much if a photographer, so I can't really comment on the cameras. Fingerprint sensor is much better (more accurate, that on my old A70). I only have it for 5 days, so I can't say much details battery life. But so far I've managed to get 1,5-2 days. (I have 2 phones, that I use interchangeably, so factor that into account.) The only thing, that I don't like is, that it's a little bigger because of the bigger bezels. But it's a very minor point.

exactly. in that case you will need to buy the 256Gb/8 Ram to compensate the lack of SD card if you prefer use both sims alone. Also I was reading today from arena site the compare table, the A72 doesnt have UFS 2.1 to help the ram etc.
I'm sticking with my A71, I'm very happy with it.
Quick recap :
The only changes in the A72 are :
1. 5000 mAh battery
2. Another camera - Telephoto 8 mp
3. 90hz Display
4. IP 67 waterproof rating
@@WololoWololo2 Either way bro , the A72 is better than A71
@@j3tmir Yes it is, but not in processing power.

I have a71 4g. I want to have a72 just because of design, stereo speakers, 90hz refresh rate and waterproof
A82 and S21 FE will be out soon and depends on what you need as for me I already got the A42 5g (8 ram / full HD) and it's really good for the sound quality is really loud and clear with bass.

8:40 man are you forreal? Exynos 980 is wayyy better than snapdragon 720g heck it's even better than 765. Just because it's exynos doesn't mean that it's bad.
Idk if u mentioned there being OIS in the main sensor of the A72...
And also on the telephoto lens, it also has OIS! And it's actually the same sensor as which Galaxy S20 FE has.
I’m going to buy one of these two... I’m just worried about A72 having more android system updates over time. I know A71 can upgrade to android 11 but, how many more updates will A71 get compared to A72 ?
Which wallpaper you use in a71 can you telll me a name
I was going to upgrade to the A72 from my A71, couldn't wait and got the S20FE 5G instead, and so glad I did!
I got the Snapdragon 865 256GB variant on Amazon for under $550 USD, the battery life and performance is fantastic on mine!
What oneui version do you have?
how many hours SOT?
What standby time?
11:24 is that a silver ring around the selfie camera, like in the s20 FE? Such a shame :(
It's actually the killer for me for both a52 a72 and s20 fe

Can u do a comparison of the a52 and the iPhone se?
Is it me or does the A72 bezels looks a bit thicker than last year A71 version? Hhmm...🤷🏽♂️🤔
this is pretty obvious... upgrading every year is not necessary, not worth doing. not on flagships, not on midrange phones. if you have the A71 (any version) you got yourself a good phone.
Watching on my regular 4G A71 and very happy with it! 😗
I am using Galaxy A72 with nova launcher as a default launcher, and the phone is so smooth. Below are some of the good features the phone comes with :
A 3.5mm headphone jack
Ip67 water/dust resistant
Stereo Speakers
5000mAh battery capacity
The phone's camera is great
25W superfast charging capability.
Corning gorilla 5
It allows an additional storage of up to 1TB.

It's heavier, more boxy.
What's to like ?
Glad i pick a71 lol. Its used for 4 months but still hold up today. A72 noticable difference is the backdoor and waterproof sertificate. Stereos speaker i already had bluetooth speaker that better than any stereo smartphones speaker nowadays, 90hz display isnt everything for me, better OIS in camera is good but not improved like i expected. Just the telephoto is the one i felt envy. Other than that its exactly the same. Glad saving a bit for a71 than brand new a72..
Why the a72 has thicker bazels
Wade can you link that A71 wallpaper Pleaseeee
Does the A72 have an always on display?
I think it’s worth mentioning that while the A71 takes 2 SIM cards in combination with a Micro SD up to 512Gb, the A72 only takes 2SIM cards or 1 SIM card in combination with a Micro SD up to 1Tb
That's a concern right there. Having to trade off dual sim for a memory card... Sounds like a downgrade. A71 gives you both dual with dedicated memory slot.
You forgot to mention that the A72 price is considered not expensive. The less than 100$ between them gives the advantage for A72

Fingerprint sensor is much better (more accurate, that on my old A70).
I only have it for 5 days, so I can't say much details battery life. But so far I've managed to get 1,5-2 days. (I have 2 phones, that I use interchangeably, so factor that into account.)
