I have the S20FE 5G. I went from a S9. I got my son the S10. My other phone were iPhone 6 when new and iPhone 5 when new. So I like my high-end specs. The S20FE 5G is great. The refresh rate is fantastic. The screen is more than acceptable. The speed and ram management is well tuned and with only 6g it never lagged or crashed. Flicking between apps is no problem. Wifi range is very good. Sound is loud enough. I only charge it once a day and with light use at work (8 hr) I usually have 75-85% left when I get home (my S9 would be charged about 3 times a day.) I have no problem recommending it.
I bought it for my mom and I love it. I wish I had one too. It's got the perfect screen size and the luminosity is pleasant to the eye, great colours and everything works on it, best camera also.😊
Losing a mid-range cabled Earphone (with unlimited battery life) is about $15. Losing a mid-range wireless headphone is $100 (and those only run ~6h). To me it is pretty clear which one to choose :D
Got the A72 as it was coming with a pair of galaxy buds live which will be selling to effectively make the a72 even cheaper. Also the A72 comes with the 25w charger while the FE only comes with the 15w even though it supports the 25w saving me a few more bucks. Also lack of headphone jack has been the main thing stopping me for upgrading for quite a while now, was one of the main things that brought my attention to the A series.
The A72 also includes FM radio, isn´t it? can you please confirm me that? beacause it´s a definitory point for me. Wade, I'd like to give you my personal comparison. If I paid less for the A72, I would have to deal with too many cameras. I don't need four cameras, but it does have a headphone jack. If I paid more for the S20 FE, I would be paying flagship prices for a lesser camera setup, but no headphone jack. In that sense, it just kind of cancels each other out.
I'm using A72 and I can tell you that was the deciding factor for me. Bluetooth has latency issues in gaming, especially where ping is important. A split second is the difference between victory and defeat!
@@GilesFunnellAbsolutely yes. I bought pods as well and used them about 3 times. 2 different sets of Bluetooth headphones laying around. Now I'm back to the good old wired factory supplied ones.
@@GilesFunnell I don't think it's A72 specific, I think it's a Bluetooth thing. Luckily the A72 has a headphone jack as well so you could get a good wired gaming set if you'd like. Bluetooth will drive you nuts, especially considering where we ping in South Africa.
I have the s 20 fe 5g and have had it a little over a year now. I upgraded from the s 9. This is the nicest phone I've ever owned. The new s 22 ultra is awfully intriguing and Def caught my attention but i just don't see all in all enough upgrades to justify spending that much money on a new phone. I think I'll wait until next year to upgrade. I don't have one single bag thing to say about the s 20 fe, it does everything i need it to do.
@@jagdeepsinghsidhu6660 I think you can use the 120 Hz screen without a problem, of course it's going to drain a little bit more of battery but the adding of various features, for example if you also use Bluetooth all the time, an app for a smartwatch or a lot of apps running in the background, those will drain your battery really fast..
As I was saying before A52/A72 is the much better deal cuz it's got all the things that S20 FE has except for few caviats such as the lesser IP67 rating, 90Hz instead of 120Hz (but I personally couldn't care less since 90Hz for me is smooth enough) Wireless/Reverse Wireless Charging, Flagship Chipset and the ability to record 4K@60fps on both camera sides. But honestly for the $180 (₱9000 here in the Philippines) of savings I think it's worth the trade off. And since S20 FE here is non-5G as well so I would rather have a midrange phone with larger screen than a flagship-esque phone. I think the better comparison is S20 FE vs A52 5G... Cuz those two are very alike in so many ways.
@@hug0addicted197 Yeah but unfortunately majority of the world sells the Exynos non-5G variant of it. Just like here in the Philippines and some other Asian regions.

I know that the S20 FE better than A72 in terms of performance and camera but it uses Exynos 990 and that chipset drains more battery than Snapdragon chipset and also it is warming up quicker than the Snapdragon 720G. My first 2 expectations from a smartphone: good battery life and no heating issue. Also I read about some chronicle screen problems with S20 FE. I don't know if it is solved but I think A72 is a better choice for me. Thanks for the comparison!

S20 FE is a not a good phone, you should have pick the 5G version. However, even with the 5G, i think the right phone to deal is the A72, coz it have 1 major update bigger battery and bigger screen. BUT if we talk about wich one is best phone for sure S20 FE 5G is the clear winner.
I just reviewed your different comparisons and it raised a question: Which is better - Samsung Galaxy S20 FE or Samsung Galaxy A52 5G? Accorting to your 2 week old comparison of A52 4G vs A72 the A52 is more value for money. But where fit the A52 G5 in this "competition"?
I got one of the first A72 when it came out. What a drama, every time there is a message: an SD card was removed unsafely. Restart your phone. Forums are full with complaints and not for the A72 only. Samsung still haven't noticed that of course. Even after customers pointing them out to the forum. Samsung, SOLVE THIS, PLEASE !!!!!
I'm focusing on keeping a headphone jack, having a microSD card slot and I don't care for wireless charging and other stuff, so I'm gonna get the A72, it's also purple 💜 😎

Greeting from Serbia. I have S20 FE (no 5G), and overheating + fast battery draining killing it!! :( (updated to Android 11, One UI 3.1) For example, Always On Display draining about 20% battery (on my previous Galaxy Note 9 was about 3-5%) It's getting hot whenever I run almost any mid-load application. And games or something heavy I can't even run. I can, very smooth, but it's near to impossible to held in hands :( All of that problem with batter save on (with 70% CPU power + 60Hz screen). I had through 6-7 years in past: S4, S5, S7 (had overheating issue too, just like now), S8 edge, Note 9 and now S20 FE. I'm very, VERY disappointed. Literally I don't know how to solve a problem. unless you really need a bigger screen, there is no brainer choosing A72 over S20 FE since the price of those phones are similar. Snapdragon 730G compare to Snapdragon 865 are like heaven and earth, even S20 FE with Exynos 990 still twice as fast compare to 730G from A72.
Currently have an iPhone 11, and I hate it. I use it as a glorified iPod. I love iPods, iPads, MacBooks, but hate their phones, because Samsung Android phones are crazy sexy, and amazing, and can do more. As for these 2 phones which I'm looking to buy, I am not sure. There's an 8GB 256 GB A72 for $650 Canadian, and a S20 FE 6 GB 128 GB at $650. Not sure if the extra ram makes the A72 closer in performance to S20 FE.
The only concern with the A series is watch the awful build quality. They are not built to last and you are still better off getting a good trade-in deal at a carrier for the premium options.
If only the s20 FE had Radio and the audio jack port...I´ll choose it!| But sadly I use a lot those two things..so I´ll need to go with the A72...even when the s20 has better specs in other thing. I'm owning a Samsung S20 Ultra, and I Poco X3 NFC that I use for work mainly. While the battery on the Poco reaches 85% in about a little over 12hrs of light use, the S20 Ultra reaches 85% in about 3 hours of light use or even quicker. It's really a shame because I don't regret having the S20 Ultra, it's powerful and everything screams quality in it, it's super smooth and it's got praising beyond words for me, but I I really disappointed with the battery life, I really don't understand why they put Exynox on this phone, especially for a a rich country like the UK. The Exynox chipset is really a big issue for this pricey and flagship phone. The heating is really strange, sometimes the phone gets really hot while watching live streams on your tube or video calls or using the camera, while other times with doing these same things it's cool as a cucumber, so I believe it's a software issue. Thankfully I have a couple of portable batteries I can use, but I really wish I didn't have to use extra money to keep my phone alive during the day. I am not a heavy user and I don't play games and I never tried this phone on gaming. I am looking to buy a phone for my mom, I am really struggling to chose between the A series and the S20 FE as they have similar prices, similar feats, only difference that the S20 FE is a flagship, but its more like a compromise, I want to give my mom a flagship experience but I don't really know if it's worth it, it looks that many people are praising the A series, which might be just as good for her. Now she's got a A21 and she said that she has to do a lot of swiping to reach to the different apps and once it turned off during a phone call because of excessive heating. I really wish I could find the perfect phone for her because we live in different countries and I don't get to see her as much as I want.

It's got the perfect screen size and the luminosity is pleasant to the eye, great colours and everything works on it, best camera also.😊
@Shawn Desper Same bro, Display is very dim outdoors and the battery life is trash. Also the display has alot of touchscreen issues
Losing a mid-range cabled Earphone (with unlimited battery life) is about $15. Losing a mid-range wireless headphone is $100 (and those only run ~6h). To me it is pretty clear which one to choose :D
Wich one buy plzz suggest???
But those sound terrible compared to wireless headphones/ earbuds that have better bass, richer sound, and active noise cancellation
Also, I saw on the video that there is no option to turn off the camera shutter sound on the A72 menu...right?? For the last, I read that the last Samsung system upgrade, included on the A72, also removed the option to "hide" the camera notch (with a black bar..something that was available until the previous version)...If you can check that too it´ll be great. Thanks in advance!!!!
@Hugo Mugo yeah cos it is great to have extra crap that you need to buy and carry around because companies have removed features
The FE has a noticeably sharper more dynamic display.

That right
Wonderful comparison.
Obviously flagship is a winner.
You should compare A72 or A52 and M51... should be an interesting comparison

I think every smartphone line ups, in this case Samsung S series and A series ; are aimed for different customer.
I prefer A72 because i don't need all the advantage points of S20FE. I'd been using A72 for about 3 weeks. I like it.

@@ojocritico6105 halo. A72 comes with radio, but you will need to plug in your earset to open and listen to it. Sounds like you didn't know about the s20 fe. The s20 fe 5g Is so better in every way except the battery. I was close to buying the a72 until I found out about the s20 fe 5g and it was only 50 dollars more im so glad that I didn't rush into buying the a72 😁😁
@@adamdaly4546 Oh s20 is superiuor in every way? Also, let me know a single important thing (like the two things I mentioned above) that I can do with the s20 that I can´t do on the A72 at all...any?
Wade, I'd like to give you my personal comparison.
If I paid less for the A72, I would have to deal with too many cameras. I don't need four cameras, but it does have a headphone jack.
If I paid more for the S20 FE, I would be paying flagship prices for a lesser camera setup, but no headphone jack.
In that sense, it just kind of cancels each other out.
I'm using A72 and I can tell you that was the deciding factor for me. Bluetooth has latency issues in gaming, especially where ping is important. A split second is the difference between victory and defeat!
@@ulrichduplessis618 Bluetooth has latency issues with the A72? Is that what you're saying?
@@GilesFunnellAbsolutely yes. I bought pods as well and used them about 3 times. 2 different sets of Bluetooth headphones laying around. Now I'm back to the good old wired factory supplied ones.
@@GilesFunnell I don't think it's A72 specific, I think it's a Bluetooth thing. Luckily the A72 has a headphone jack as well so you could get a good wired gaming set if you'd like. Bluetooth will drive you nuts, especially considering where we ping in South Africa.
@@ulrichduplessis618 What do you recommend more the A72 or S20 FE?
I have the s 20 fe 5g and have had it a little over a year now. I upgraded from the s 9. This is the nicest phone I've ever owned. The new s 22 ultra is awfully intriguing and Def caught my attention but i just don't see all in all enough upgrades to justify spending that much money on a new phone. I think I'll wait until next year to upgrade. I don't have one single bag thing to say about the s 20 fe, it does everything i need it to do.
I did have the s20 fe, now I have the a72. The photos are amazing and indeed it's better the. S20fe but the a72 it's not that far. The a72 it's decent

@@adamdaly4546 ummm you can crearly see it in the video but also because I could compare them a couple of weeks ago.
What is battery timing of both brother...is there huge difference or can s20 fe compete with a 72 in battery life...or I must use s20 fe at 60 hrtz
For me honestly, the headphone jack is currently a must, so my mind is made up :)
Thanx for the awesome comparison
"Is it drastic no not really"
1 or 2 hours longer battery life....... 😂😂😂
S20 FE is better for the 120hz screen and better camera as well as wireless charging
Theres also S20fe with 5g, at least where i live but its 90€ more
@@hug0addicted197 Yeah but unfortunately majority of the world sells the Exynos non-5G variant of it.

What a drama, every time
there is a message: an SD card was removed unsafely. Restart your
phone. Forums are full with complaints and not for the A72 only. Samsung
still haven't noticed that of course. Even after customers pointing
them out to the forum. Samsung, SOLVE THIS, PLEASE !!!!!

I have S20 FE (no 5G), and overheating + fast battery draining killing it!! :(
(updated to Android 11, One UI 3.1)
For example, Always On Display draining about 20% battery (on my previous Galaxy Note 9 was about 3-5%)
It's getting hot whenever I run almost any mid-load application. And games or something heavy I can't even run. I can, very smooth, but it's near to impossible to held in hands :(
All of that problem with batter save on (with 70% CPU power + 60Hz screen).
I had through 6-7 years in past: S4, S5, S7 (had overheating issue too, just like now), S8 edge, Note 9 and now S20 FE.
