  • I’ll show you how to add a new Auxbeam LED Light bar to your Kubota (or Other) Zero Turn Mower. Adding an Auxbeam LED light bar makes evening mowing so much easier. As fall weather approaches, and days get shorter, light up the yard with an Auxbeam LED light bar on your Zero Turn Mower. I’ll also show how to fix the Auxbeam LED bar harness to stop running your battery dead.

I wouldn’t say I mow at night, but in the fall sunset is at like 5:30PM, and it gets dark really early, so it’s nice to have the lights during that season so I can get the mowing done after work.

I would start at the battery first then cut if you’re already putting new ends on

Those holes are for the maintenance lift kit which is an accessory option that makes it much much easier working under like blade changes

That looked like a pretty neat job. I do have a concern with your engineering. The concern is with capacity of your engine's charging system. Most zero-turn engines have a 15-amp capacity charging system. The PTO clutch draws about 8-amps when the blades are engaged, so that leaves only about 7-amps for auxiliary devices such as lights. I'm afraid you may have forgot about the mule and overloaded the wagon.

Awesome light bar installation. I will probably do the same on my Z781

I've had a chance to use it a couple time this summer and it works great. It should get a workout this fall!. Still holding up well (obviously only 9 months old). Auxbeam seems to be a reasonably priced decent product so far. Thanks for watching.

I sure hope you removed that scotch lock connector at the fuse box and soldered that. Beautiful work

I’m embarrassed to say that currently, the scotchlok is still on there 😮. I will probably remove it in the future. I hate those things but I also hate cutting OEM harnesses so somehow I thought destroying the insulation on the OEM harness but not cutting it was better (I realize how stupid that sounds 😂). Thanks for watching!

@@EvolutionDIY I’ve had so many I’ve worked on where they corrode real bad or vibration causes bad connection. Heck it may even last forever but I’m anal about soldering since I’ve worked on cars for years. Great work ethic though bud. Keep up the great work

So true, I know they are junk. My mower doesn’t get wet or road salt much, but the vibration could be an issue. I’ll soldier it when I do the year end maintenance. Thanks for the tip.

Lol well night and dark are two totally different things for me. I do think I said night in the video, but I meant dark. In the fall where I live, sunset is around 4:50PM and it’s dark by about 5:15PM. So I find myself frequently mowing close to sunset or dusk. Mowing at night is a little crazy as you mentioned. From what I can find, there is no fixed consensus on when night begins, but some say it's after 6 PM, while others say it's after 9 PM. Thanks for watching!

Move to Texas with the sun and humidity and see if you want to mow when the sun starts to go down...
