I use to be deeply involved in the streets. Now I’m an entrepreneur. I turned my trauma and grind into getting an engineering degree and now starting an engineering firm. I’m getting my youth from my hood involved in the electronics manufacturing industry by the time they graduate high school.

These dudes work ethic is insane they trap 7 days a week 24/7 wow imagine if they came together and started a business they’d be rich
A lot of us do come together and do bigger things, some stay behind and do what they comfortable doing or what they know is guaranteed for them. Either way we paper chasing.
As good as that sounds...... a lot of dudes from the hood don't really have a full grasp on how that paperwork functions on the City, State, and Federal level. Dealing with different taxes and different sets of laws and bylaws. Most dudes from the hood really ain't tryna have Uncle Sam all in their pockets. On top of the fact that it's a completely different monster when it comes how the marketing game works. That's why we hardly ever even see a RAPPER from the hood make it that far without the backing and structure of an established record label. As much access as we all have just from the internet alone, to promote and market a brand/product... a lot of dudes don't really know how to fully utilize it to its full potential. Nor do any of them even get into the right offices to find out how that side of the business works. They come far and few. That's why you gotta respect guys like Hov, Diddy, Rick Ross, Master P, Birdman, etc... They understood the value of the product. Even guys like Nipsey Hussle on the independent side of the industry. They knew the value of owning their masters when it comes to MUSIC being sold as a "good" and the artist PERFORMANCES being sold as a "service". They understood how publishing works, how distribution in both the physical form and on the internet work, and the ways they can use their impact to leverage the end value to the consumer and get what they know they deserve. This is the same as any business though. There are people who can start a legitimate business and work every single day of their life, make good money, but hardly have time to enjoy the fruits of their label because they HAVE to dedicate so much time to keep the operations of the business functioning. Then there are people who create the ability to become WEALTHY, because they understand that they need to be able to expand and scale their business into a franchise, where it can be micromanaged and they can reap what's known as "passive income". Most people from the hood wouldn't even know that they can build a business and structure it to the point to where they can SELL the business on an open market, and make money (including a small percentage over a certain amount of years). There's multiple ways to go about "starting" a business. But it takes a whole lot more than shooting dice and fanning $20 bills around in front of the liquor store. We live in what is considered as a "Free Enterprise Market"... meaning we have the complete freedom to sell pretty much anything we want to, as long as there is a consumer who is willing to buy it. Most people think they have financial freedom, but they don't. Less than 10% of our entire population REALLY have what can be considered as financial freedom. It's always going to be tied to something, but if you do enough work and understand how the logistics of money works in America, you can make enough to establish generational WEALTH for you and your future seed's seeds.

Watching this, what should be an award winning video used as teaching tool in most universities/colleges, you have folk in high level positions who have only heard about about this part of this "Life" but never witnessed it first hand, nowhere on the planet and the outer limits as well, can you make this up. I grew up in the hoods of north philly however consistently, i had the mindset of pursuing my education at any cost, but my survival laid in the fact i had a "hustling" mindset, and i was determine to survive , all good living my very best life, and they can as well, their thick ass locks/braids def brought back that vibe when i rock it like that, my sister always say dudes in the hoods have the healthiest hair

Gunspoint, wow! I remember when I was a child in the 90's on Northborough Dr. all I heard was gunshots! That area is pretty treacherous trust me. Came a long way from the early 90's Greenspoint era. God bless, great vlog and live as long as you can.
