I’m from and live in Alief, I love the video, but think it’s important to mention a large amount of those girls are forcefully trafficked. Most pimps here can’t do OnlyFans or online content because their women are missing people. Seen it happen a lot with young women around here, and families slaughtered because the exploited tried to escape. Once they got you you’re not leaving unless you want your family dead

Alief Tx Been living on Bissonnet since 95 and it’s always been like this, police cleaning up now, Shout out D Flowers, Maxo, Yung Ro, Trae the Truth, everybody that’s from the Wesssttt!!!
It was not like that in the 1980s. Things started to change in Alief as well as other areas of Houston from the ripple effect of the energy crash of 1986. Lots of socio-demographics changes that started to be apparent by the early 1990s.
Man that’s crazy, I grew up in alief and I went to elsik and everyone always has talked about bisonnett since we were kids. We always knew what it was and what happened there

You should drive there on your own and see it first hand. This was a light night. I drove past there a few years ago and saw herds of women on a weekend night. Almost put Figuero to shame with how many were out there in a 5 block radius.

Growing up there in the early 90s to early 00s, it’s crazy to see what the Southwest side looks like now when I visit Houston. It looks like a war zone. It used to be a really nice and well-to-do area (middle and upper middle class). He wasn’t wrong when he said most people there can’t say they’re from there because a few decades ago they couldn’t afford to live there and the racial make up was completely different. We left that area in 2003. After Katrina, nothing was the same.
Some parts of Alief do indeed look like a war zone but overall it's just a busier place, more crowded with a lot more businesses. As long as I am mindful, I don't feel that it is *that* unsafe. Just avoid certain parts and certain times. Lots of great places to eat there still, better than what was available in the '80s that I remember. The infrastructure of today's Alief is also better than what we had out there in the 1980s also.

I grew up in Alief. Went to Olle Middle School and Hastings High. Alief used to be the prime area to live in. Too bad it's gone down.
