    Great job demystifying 3rd and 5th ward. In Houston we often talk about these neighborhoods as if they're warzones and you're making it clear that they're troubled but filled with real people who are living under stressful conditions.

      @@boofert.washington2499 The children that have to grow up in the area because their parents can't afford to move don't control the conditions, but do have to learn to survive in a neighborhood that has more opportunities to get you involved in drugs or crime than it does to help you achieve the success to get out of the neighborhood or make a positive change. Too many people in these neighborhoods are also trapped in a system where even if they're avoiding drugs and crime, then they're most likely making enough just to maintain their house and aren't going to have the resources to also bring the community together to actively stop the issues that make these places so hostile to grow up in.

    You should visit some of the west side neighborhoods in San Antonio, Texas. (Lincoln Courts, Alazan Courts). Lots of random bad neighborhoods in my city. I mean I dont advise it but it's a place a i grew up in that's also a pocket of poverty and crime. I think bringing this to light would help people understand that people really live in this hell and is a prime example of inequality and bad public housing.

    • @kirkmooneyham
      @kirkmooneyham 3 месяца назад

      My family moved around a lot when I was a kid. Alazan Courts has also been bad for a very long time. Didn't live in that specific area, but I remember that name from the San Antonio news back in the day. I guess some things never change.

      I’m sure he would if he had anyone he knew there to escort him ect, but ya San Antonio is up there on most crime filled city in Texas. I had a pretty close friend from childhood go down there to meet someone he knew in prison for like a job or some shit and got gunned down soon as he made it to the said area, dnt know what part but him and 2 others were all killed in a drive by walk by type of deal, and get this he literally just got out of prison doing 8years! He wasn’t out for longer than like 15 days and got laid down. His brother and mom heard it stemmed from some type of beef when he was locked up and basically got set up to come to Homies hometown caught him and took him down and 2 other basically innocent dudes just there to give my friend a ride man, super tragic i dnt think they ever arrested anyone either and this was like 2018-19
