- An interesting match against Survivors with very strong items that were partially countered by our perks. It's a good example of how despite having a relatively strong start (2 hooks at 5 gens) Survivors can always bounce back and recover. I lost my mind a little bit during this match, so apologies for that.

nah, this video was just a grown man crying the entire video "map this, why is my perk not working, omg the map" as if he legit didn't miss hits, loose chases, get pallet stunned, and then straight up face camp "we started so strooongg chat" when??? , until the last couple mins when he started getting kills, dude was nonstop whining.
The survivors where on that last gen way way way 2 long, if they played that better deff would have been ez clap on this guy, spec when he face camped, someone shoulda been on a gen. Thank god for the new updates to Survivors so you don't need SWF to tell if someone is on a gen while killer is FC.
Also the perk in his clickbait tittle didn't really do much for him at all, he complained about it not doing much more then anything, gross af, but it takes bad streamers crying to find good streamers that don't cry when they don't do well and own up to it. Watch this video again, then watch Naymeti gameplay vids, the difference in player maturity, recognizing what's good, the straight up not whining when things don't go perfect will change your thoughts on this guy.

The ones who talk crap and *believe it* are usually the bad ones, because that attitude doesn't lend itself to improvement. Other people worked to be better because they wanted to, these people only work to make others' lives worse.
I genuinely find Pyramid head's perks to be EXTREMELY underrated. Trail of Torment and Forced Penance I feel are such oppressive or crazy perks that probably many of survivors don't know how to handle. I also love jumpscaring with Trail and having no terror radius for a hundred years :D
Yellow indication on the gen is a giveaway for trail
Trail of torment is far from oppressive given the survivor can literally see the gen you kicked in yellow. Survivor goes over and touches if and it gets negated.
The problem is that they’re niche. Killers have 4 perks. Lots of killer mains have at least one comfort perk that they bring in almost every time. At least some form of slowdown is absolutely necessary, unless you’re just that confident at getting super fast downs. Not to mention some killers that are perk reliant.
The problem is this. You can use these perks, you can get some good value out of these perks. But it’s never going to be optimal. So unless you’re just doing it for purely fun. There’s not much reason to run them over other perks.
Trail of torment unfortunately have a yellow indicator for survivors which have no sense and plus a 60 seconds cooldown. It would be actually decent if it deactivates only if you hit a survivor, the yellow indicator is not visible and a cooldown of 30 seconds, but I agree PH perks are undearrated

What I expected: Forced Penance value
What I got: Forced Penance value and a group of survivors who could not at all resist altruism, or complete one more gen on a very survivor-sided map, plus an unsurprisingly arrogant Ada.
Joke aside, you hella earned your win Otz, on a pretty weak killer no less!

This is why I have two perk loadouts. "My we're all having fun here build" and the "I will punish you, you animals."

Against proper survivors this won't matter. Being hurt doesn't affect gen efficiency though it really should at base. would give urgency in healing. Forced Penance is good for the memes but if you are going for wins you will be in for pain.
Eh 80 seconds broke just means gens will be being done 9% faster now that they actually are forced not to heal. But do has you fit
Use blood echo. It’s a lot more efficient
Caulrophobia, Sloppy Butcher, Unnerving Presence, and any other perk really hurts survivors
8:00 this happens to me literally every down. They get hit, they flop, and then they warp to somewhere random 1-4m away in any direction. I have to pause and look down to find them every single time if I want to pick them up quickly and can't keep track of anyone else around. High ping is brutal.

Hey Otz! Is there any info on how Scourge Hooks are selected? Because I realized that some maps may have a flawed spawn logic similar to totems. For example I've never seen the hook outside main in Eyrie NOT be a scourge.

I don’t know how you can say that taking a hit while you’re carrying someone isn’t technically a protection hit.
If you’re carrying someone, you are going to aim to hook them. Someone coming in to take a hit to stop that, could potentially stop you getting that hook. This gives that survivor another health state/ stops them from dying as fast. That’s exactly the definition of a protection hit!
It's not if he's chasing them down with agitation and they didn't want to block the hook is what he means by not really. They could change it so they need to be almost touched to detect for body blocks or near a hook to detect for blocking hooks if they wanted it to be more accurate.

Forced Penance is my second-favorite Killer perk. Glad to see it getting some recognition.
I remember a long time ago when I still played dbd and was active on the forums I mentioned forced penance as a potential counter to heavy healing builds and I got clowned on. Ty for showcasing that FP is actually a sleeper perk

oooh I've been running scourge hooks are us on Dredge with Pain Res, Gift of Pain, Monstrous Shrine and then BBQ for information but I'll have to use penance at some point since I default the calendar and malthinkers as is
Otz have you ever considered on updating your full perk ranking content? I've seen you actually change your mind about some perks, and others just got massively reworked or are just constantly getting changes that aren't always super visible (like Buckle Up for example). As for me I've been playing with Autodidact a lot and I actually think it's a pretty good perk that isn't as unreliable as you said in those videos.
Maybe putting a rank in your website so it's not that difficult to update it everytime it's needed?
Autodidact is very strong if you bring an increased skill check medkit too, it makes it much more reliable

Now jokes aside, that perk's much more consistent if you understand how to use it. If stacked early, you can guarantee it won't troll you ever, and if you get to 5 stacks and manage to proc it at least once, that's like 12s shoved off that any killer won't expect. You can argue it's even better than We'll make it.

It makes sense why it's counted as a protection hit whilst a survivor is being carried. Survivors taking hits are still protecting the carried survivor from being hooked.

Yep, I still use Forced Penance on Pyramid, Otz... I tried using Jolt or Eruption for awhile (or some other perk) but it just wasn't cutting it. Especially, since I'm a heavy M2 hitter with him and Jolt doesn't work, and I rarely kick gens... but everybody likes to take hits and M2 works with Forced Penance. But I don't want it to be meta, because BHVR will just destroy the perk.

Also at the end of the game where you were chasing the mikala at the last gen, she had just used dead hard so she wouldn’t be healthy, only injured is the gen popped before she went down. Only getting the speed boost would have been bad but she got downed before hand at least

*ANursesCalling* (28m)
*TrailOfTorment* (close in on healing survivors, hit two at once with the suprise ranged attack. Will provide spicy content against TTVs)
*Oppression* (perfect synergy with ToT)
*Dissolution* (i dont bother breaking any pallets as PH. This works well for clean-up and forcing survivors into unsafe positions. Doesn't interfer with ToT when you consider their usecases)
While you could swap *Dissolution* for *Sloppy,* you would have to adjust your playstyle to go for more basic attacks, which is restrictive. You may swap *Dissolution* with *ImAllEars* or *NowhereToHide* if you wish.

we here at BHVR decided to put a new add-on for medkits. The GUN. While added to a medkit this will give the survivor the chnace to SHOOT the killer for a stun of 10 seconds.
So I have an idea. I wouldn't know the build but it's a meme survivor build. I know there's multiple perks that have flash bangs. You could make a flashbang build with the other two perks being something else that can compliment them? Just for a meme, it would be fun to watch in my opinion lol

With how op healing is rn I've actually started using forced penance because survivors love taking protection hits these days, another perk I've been getting a lot of use out of is gift of pain to punish them for healing
