I miss the times of S1-S6, those were some good times, having watch parties, and talking to friends in class about the episodes, now everyone is like '' you still care about that show?'' when i try to talk about spin offs.
I recently tried to watch an episode of one of the spinoffs. It was not good. I tried to watch the newest season of Walking Dead a few months ago. I only watched around four episodes before dropping it. I have a DVD of The Walking Dead I purchased used from a local movie store. The cast had decided to take up residence in a prison. It is peak for the series. I must have rewatched that season over half a dozen times.
I thought S9 was cool, felt very different from all the other walking dead seasons. S11 kind of felt like we were back in civilization again which hi didn’t like, could have had the CRM and COMMONWEALTH fighting each other in the 3rd part of S11

Fun Fact: The Walking Dead is not named after the zombies. The name references the show's status as something that is constantly running, despite the fact literally nobody watches it anymore.
I'd argue that they should have shown Abraham's death in the season 6 finale but then surprised fans with the Glenn death in the 7 premiere. I will say me personally after Carl's death i stopped caring about the show i just still watched it because I was like fuck it im 8 years into this story might as well stick around for the end
Exact same here on the Carl dying thing, its called the "sunk costs fallacy." Also i said that Abe shouldve died in the season 6 finale + Glenn in the premiere during the video.
The walking dead is better in the comics carl dosent die, Rick is still around in season 9 10 and 11, and the ending is way better with Carl living his happy life at the end with his wife and daughter. The only thing that suck is that Daryl isn’t in the comics
@@Gtfo_Kenny Reading for sure is for nerds, but I'm one, so I loved the comics. I remember being hyped for the show bc of how good the comics were, and that pilot blew me away.
I hate Gimple so much, after he decided to kill Carl, he decided to wipe his ass with Fear and destroyed that as well, and I will never forgive him for that.
I believe the wheels fell off after season 7 episode 3. The Saviors didn't need to make a second impact until mid season where they could've made Rick pay for the simple fact he didn't inform enough of the others Negan was in charge. Sort of merge service and hearts still beating into one. Still having Rosita shooting Lucille missing Negan. The episodes 4 through 7 should've shown Rick struggling to find things for Negan so there would be a good reason on top of nearly being killed for him to retaliate on Alexandria killing maybe 7 or 8. Then the second half of 7 would've made more sense. Season 8 the war should've been minimized to after the 10th episode that season. Then you show hints of the Whisperer arc for a while. A reason for all of them to work together to survive after Negans downfall. Yes, all while keeping Carl alive to have the story with Lydia.
If we got the war between the CRM and COMMONWEALTH the TWDU would be much more exciting going forward. Rick and Michonne defeating the Higher ups of the CRM was a fatal move for TWDU. Carls death was probably the first time TWD has started to decline
Season 10 and 11 are worst then 7 and 8 for me lol Negan is the only thing carrying the coprse of the show. The Governor episodes in S4 and Too Far Gone will always be my favorites though
For me the first 3 seasons are amazing but hate 4-11 but think the ones who live and Daryl Dixon are just as good as the first 3 seasons they are the true season 4 for me
The argument that Glens death had to happen because it did in the show... Michonne was already dead by that point in the comics. I understand why they wouldnt wanna kill off such a fan favorite, she's my favorite after all, but you can't use that excuse for some characters but not others. Glen's death was disappointing to me because, like Michonne, I could tell that there was so much more they could do with the character & he had such a good build-up. Plus, it was so expected that it wasnt shocking, just frustrating. Sacrificing the wrong character at the story altar. They did the same thing with Carl- they should have killed Rick, it would have been totally unexpected & kept the audience on their toes, while creating an opening for other characters to take more prominent roles
I miss those early days...season 1 through 5 was peak fiction....
Stop fucking glazing.
6 was fire too
@@zRedBxll My favourite season, even though it had stupid things like Glenn's fakeout. Such an enjoyable watch though.

Season 6 is great, for me the show was peak until carl died

God, I hope we get an animated reboot...
Haven't heard that one 100 times.
One day this show randomly went from literally peak fiction television to just an okay/good show with some filler
I'd argue that they should have shown Abraham's death in the season 6 finale but then surprised fans with the Glenn death in the 7 premiere.

Killing of Carl was the dumbest thing the show ever did, the dumbest thing the show could've possibly done. His last episode was my last episode
Carl's death was the nail in the coffin for me that's where the show really lost it. It never came back from there. Carl was the future

100%, though the show is just an entirely different beast, and some ppl wont even give the comic a try cuz "reading is for nerds"

The downfall started after Glenn’s death
Agreed

When they faked Glenn death that was pretty bogus too

michonne didnt die in the comics tho?? she lived and became a judge in the commonwealth
Hmm, I might be thinking of someone else then, I havent read the comics in years
Why you burp in my ear
7:42 , because i can >:D
More Twd videos! God bless and Jesus Christ loves you!!!
how to avoid downfall? go back to the source material everytime the story goes too far off the rails. It was THAT EASY.
Another tip: Don't drag the show or franchise on.
People didn't have to wait a year for the cliffhanger, in the comics it's Glenn that gets killed
I honestly never liked glen hell or maggie
