Selina: Who are you pretending to be? Bruce: Bruce Wayne. Well this actually true to a point. He doesn't really like being Bruce Wayne more than he does being Batman.
Totally missed opportunity to have Bruce Wayne wear a tuxedo in this scene. He's going to an actual ball, where other male guests are also wearing a tuxedo. Bruce pretty much wears one in every single of his main movie outings, it's a staple for his character just like in every single Bond movie. In Begins he wore one at Wayne Manor. In Dark Knight he didn't but I can live with that. Here he should have wore one. Even Tony Stark wore a tuxedo in both Iron Man 1 and 2.
@@EGRJ you're totally missing the point. Bruce Wayne being the mask is old news, it's a one-liner that everybody uses since Rachel said it in the first movie. It's not true. Batman has many masks. And there is truth to the Bruce Wayne persona. Second, and save for Battinson, Bruce Wayne was ALWAYS shown wearing tuxedos in every single first entry of any Batman, including Christian Bale's first movie. It's a staple of the visual representation of the character. Plus, the character wears tuxedos in the comics since time immemorial. He is known for wearing them to parties, balls and galas. Do your research before parroting quotes.
@@TheMicael100 that's also what I thought when I first was it. In fact he was a recluse for 8 years. Still, it's a missed opportunity. Even Mask of the Phantasm shows Bruce in a tuxedo. I hope Reeves does it for Pattinson's Bruce Wayne in the sequel. There's a high chance of that happening if they go the Court of Owls route as rumored, with those types of "Eyes Wide Shut" parties....
@@thestarkknightreturns he wasn't a recluse for 8 year only 3. They mentioned that his reclusiveness started after the clean energy project failed which was 3 years before the events of the movie.

Does Bruce need the walking stick because of his fall saving Gordon's son in The Dark Knight events?
Yes
Who’s that?
Oh the stiff can barely climb out of his sports car no wait that’s Bruce Wayne!!!!
Bruce Wayne casually uses an EMP to disable the paparazzi's cameras and no one bats an eye (pun absolutely intended)

The point is that he doesn't fit in with the other guests. That's why he's not wearing a mask. "Bruce Wayne" Is the costume.

Inspired in part by A Tale of Two Cities. Seriously.
The whole movie, that is (not just the scene).
Thank you for move night
Part of this scene is similar to Batman Returns.
1:42 isn’t she telling him she knows who he is without actually telling him? In an alternate reality, she is his baby mother
