Peace has cost you your strength, victory has defeated you. Geez what a line
Patience *
He said decency
Means being nice
It's true too.
Ok i always thought he said "these are the cast of your strenght" FML
It would have been tough for anyone to play the villain in a Batman film after Heath's performance but Tom Hardy fucking nailed it
No joke. I had no idea he was the skinny young Picard in a Star Trek movie in his younger days.
Have y'all seen lawless. Another good tom hardy movie
Heather is still the king. And what's with the british accent?
"You fight like a younger man, nothing held back. Admirable, but mistaken."
How to know you're about to have a bad day
Older men know how to kick butt!
Every single line from Bane is perfect here
Ok dork.
@@tyrone1544 I know you are, but what am I?
@@MrGgabberMy daddy will beat up your daddy
Sound production is terrible though, tough to understand half of what he was saying throughout the film…
Yes you're definitely right! Every finin thing he said is Golden, 🤌💤filled with uncanny witty verbiage but dangerous
What I’ve always loved about this scene were Banes goons just looking down, knowing Batman is gonna get worked, hard.
Naa, they were worried that he was gonna lose.
@@youareacoward8459 Naa, they had the look of "Seen this before. Bat dude is about to get bent over."
Exactly LOL@youareacoward8459
@@youareacoward8459lol they looked worried to you?
@@EnricoPallazo One is swallowing when Batman starts hitting Bane over and over. They are cautious.
My favorite thing about Tom Hardy’s bane is he keeps the intelligence from the comics most forget he’s arguably just as intelligent as Batman
batman & robin bane had me fucked up
@@Philocyb1n right? Even as a little boy I kept thinking how is this the guy who only needed a year to figure out Bruce’s identity and rivals ras Al ghul in chess
I love that there was no music in this scene. Just the sounds of water and fists.
He came to fight the bat man fairly 😂 💀
C'mon you bat man! I can taste your blood
I am the real batman: bane
and bane talking non stop
Dork
"Ah yes, I was wondering what would break first, your spirit or your body?"
That was a statement, not a question lol..
That's the line right there
I’m sure in that moment Bruce was wishing he had listened to Alfred
Should've been "your spirit or your spine" honestly
@@masonmurphy2679 Naw, the quote was great the way it was.
The fact that this scene has no music is what makes it so memorable. Just Bane’s epic lines, Batman feeling helpless, and the cracking of bones. Goosebumps.
Bane: Let us not stand on ceremony, Mr. Wayne.
Such a simple, yet deep line lol
Everything Bane says is EPIC
The way Bane toyed with Bats & ate those those punches & whooped his ass without breaking a sweat or heavy breathing while giving speeches was such bad ass.
Which makes Batman whooping Bane easily at the end of the movie nonsensical.
@@265Stan I've always thought that. I mean we all know Bats is a master fighter & tactician but still...the way he got his ass kicked the first go round by Bane & the way he was able to take his punches & hurt Bane at the end was a bit perplexing.
@@265Stan I think the idea is he became better from his time in the pit.
@@265Stan The idea that he didn’t fear death, caused him to fight like a washed up old man, who had already given up.
This movie was my 18th birthday present.
I can still remember seeing the scene for the first time and actually cheering when Bane broke the Bat; a classic comic book moment I never thought I'd ever see put on screen.
Mine as well.
@@user-rr4bf6oj8e The summer of 2012 was such a great time to live.
It was my 31st birthday present. God I'm old..
"peace has cost you strength, victory has defeated you" proceeds to use Batman's fist to punch him😭😭
“You were excommunicated…by a gang…of psychopaths.”

Shadows betray you because they belong to me. Great line

Literally every line from Bane is fuckin fantastic
Could you imagine if the falling tank just lands on bane
I can't believe this was released 12 years ago. Jesus Christ..
I never understand how this movie had this scene with such iconic dialogues but there were also some stupid cheesy scenes like "I came here to stop you" and Talia goofy death
Even Michael Jordan missed game winners.
Very true. Bane went out like a chump as well.

"You Think Darkness Is Your Ally? You Merely Adopted The Dark. I Was Born In It, Molded By It. I Didn't See The Light Until I Was Already A Man. But Then, It Was Nothing To Me But BLINDING!"

Best line
We can see how scared Catwoman is. She is fearless against all men but she knows Bane is not to be messed with.
Look at Bane's strength... Even with Batsuit his punches are hurting❤
For the comic book fans-the iconic scene where Bane breaks the Bat-is unsurpassed in DC comics history.
Nolan exceeded all expectations in this scene
Growing up I thought he couldn’t compete, but Tom hardy made this a worthy follow-up to Heath’s performance!
If you are a true comic fan you would know he didn't meet expectations. Batman had no discernable fighting skills (in the comics he knows 432 different forms of martial arts) it was essentially an eccentric rich guy in a batman costume. Ben Affleck batman was the best. Especially the fight scene he rescues Martha in Batman v Superman
@@kcopara1 Batflecks fight scenes were great but his story telling and character was bad
These words of Bane should’ve made it clear to Bruce that Bane wasn’t the child of Ras Al Ghul. Bane clearly says I didn’t see the light until I was already an adult and Bruce already knew that Ras Al Ghul’s child was very little when it escaped from the pit.
What you said is perfectly logical. But luckily for the filmmakers, this scene is when batman is in high adrenaline do or die situation which usually translates to people paying less attention to words while trying to stay alive. You made a very good point but also every living beings never listen much and rely on their survival instincts in these situations
@@ronin9296 spot on. Batman was not in thinking mode, else he wouldn’t have lasted even this long.
I think that Bruce wanted Bane to be Ras AL Ghul's child so much that he missed details that should have tipped him off.
@@ethenallen1388very true. Remember at this point in time he’s coming out of retirement and barely a shell of his former self. He’s not the world’s greatest detective at this point.
@@ethenallen1388 true.
I vote Tom Hardy as Darth Malgus, if there's ever a KOTOR movie
I would gladly pay $100 to see Tom Hardy as Star Killer, rated R, full length feature film, directed by Guillermo del Toro.
This scene gave me chills. No music. Just straight up fight sounds
“Shadow betrayed you …becoz they belong to me “
Batman: ….now what ?
Christopher Nolans vision of the batman is sooo Soo good even better than the new bat though we haven't seen the rest to come they might shine as a complete set
I was an extra at the football game. I survived the occupation of Gotham!
no way
2:29
This hits harder when you realize Bane is head butting a piece of graphite that was designed to withstand falling from great distances or bullet impacts....and winning.
I remember going to the imax midnight premier of this. What an experience. Crazy that was 12 years ago!
"... members of the League of Shadows"
"Urmphmemhhhehh ahhhh"
when the boss is getting attacked and the goons just watch you know you are in deep shit.
Tom Hardy is the master at subtle spookiness
taboo beckons.....
This man out here being an evil poet lol
So many amazing lines in 1 scene….Tom Hardy is an absolute legend 💯
BRO WHEN BATMAN CUT THE LIGHTS OUT AND BANE EASILY GOT HIS ASS, THAT WAS LEGENDARY
Best part is Batman screaming in frustration ...
One of the most atmospheric, gritty, brutal film fight scenes I've ever seen.
"I didnt see the light until I was already a man. By then it was nothing more than blinding!"
Bane basically played the part of a cat playing with it’s food.
I remember watching this scene in the theater. You could hear a pin drop. The tension and silence were deafening.
Darkness~Born in it , molded by it❤️🔥
Break The Bat
Christopher Nolan gracias por regalarnos esta gran trilogía ❤
“…then I will break you”
Tom hardy played a hell of a role and bulked up big time to play bane! What a amazing actor he is
"Ashouba Dooba Doo, Mista Wayne"
He didn’t dodge the gadgets Batman threw because he knew that even if they were explosives or something deadly, it would have made Bruce a coward in a hand-to-hand fight amongst ex-league of assassins members. So that narrowed it down to him knowing it was just an attempt for Bats to displace his senses, which failed.
Awesome
This is why a Bat-Derringer would have been a good idea.
I wonder how many hundreds of times this clip is gonna be reupload
"BaTmAn CaN bEaT aNyOnE wItH pReP tImE"
Batman didn't have prep time for this fight, but did for the rematch (which he won), so yes, Batman can beat anyone with prep time.
Shit, even in the comics Bane knew he couldn't win a straight 1-vs-1 fight with Batman, so had to exhaust him first.
Batman: Bane.
I remember first time seeing this. Holy f. How is this going to end well for batman. What a great story.
Bruce: "Man, I wish I didn't make this suit have a cape"
This might have been the one time Batman shoulda reneged on his one rule. Just one bullet to the shin a la terminator 2, and the movie would be over.
Tom Hardy's 'Bane' gets better every time I see it.
He never had the makings of a varsity athlete
That’s hurtful and undermining and it’s the kind of thing I’m teaching my kids not to do..
Wrong comment section lol
1:34 Saw that right hook a mile away. Even an idiot would be able to dodge that.
Unbelievable film outstanding Tom Hardy plays bane perfect and shout out to Christian bale too in last batman flick brilliant stuff they Don flicks like that anymore
The day someone samples this for a rap beef beat I’ll know everything is right in the world
Such elegant shit talking if I've ever heard it...
Trapped in here. No getting out without pain.
He hated it but Tom hardy was the perfect person for this bane
notice how Bain doesn't grunt even a little.
People underestimate just how strong humans can be when they let go. Defying physics if we have to.
How I feel when fighting bad guys in my dreams.
Michelle Pfeiffer was an awesome Catwoman, but Anne Hathaway blew me away.
Born the dark 🌑 molded by it masterpiece ☔☔☔
Batman has never faced an opponent this skilled in combat, which made the fight scenes w/ Bane very underwhelming for me personally as fantastic as his lines are, this should have been the movie where Nolan makes Batman shine as a warrior in hand to hand combat punching and kicking , like he's saying 'forget all that pay attention to all the cinema I'm giving you', which is much appreciated but... I wanted to see Batman fight, Mr. Nolan lol
Bats has to get his ass whooped in order for him winning the fight at the end to feel significant, especially given that Bane is a brawler. Joker beat up Bats mentally, they never fought cause that’s not what Joker does. But if the main villain is a fighter, you can’t just have Batman walk up, beat his ass the first time they meet, and walk away. Gotta show why he’s a threat
In Bollywood Bane would have jumped directly 😂
That one dislike from Bane XD
Wow, I've never seen Batman get fukd up like that
The fact he smashed Bane with everything and he still just destroyed batman.
"Ah yes i was wondering what will break first, Your spirit or your body! " This man is not to be trifling with.
God damn, what a movie this is.
Banes so cool and killer calm telling batman his disadvantages during a fight. Pure disrespectful but awesome at the same time! Batman was fighting to survive here was only a matter of time! Bane was just too powerful with his size, strength and evil wisdom!
Bane and rises were so underrated. Great performance by Tom hardy
Pretty similar to how Ali beat Forman. Ali spoke to Forman during the entire match, clearly frustrating Forman to sheer brute and mindless aggression, all the while being told that he was where he once was and he will be defeated tonight.
Heath Ledgers joker is iconic, but Tom Hardy's Bane doesnt get enough credit, the 2 best villian portrals in the franchise history
It’s how he came down the chain for me!! Batman was definitely not winning that day..😂😂
It’s like Scar vs Simba
I was at the midnight showing at the other movie theatre in Aurora Colorado. Got out, I couldn’t wait to talk about it all night, turned my phone back on, my phone was blown up with people who knew I was going to the movie, but didn’t know which theatre I went to. Ended up watching the news until the sun came up. Still gets me enraged to think about that fucking coward.
His accent is sooo satisfying.
I don’t care what anyone says.. I love what Tom Hardy did with Bane’s voice then, & I love it now.
when you beat multiplayer and join online mode
When bane broke batman he knew he was gonna lose the second round that’s why he was impressed by how Batman fought and never gave up
3:52 Ah yes! I was wondering what we break first!
Why didn't Batman just use the sleeping dart? Lol.
Bane is a drug addict due to the gas from the mask. It might not have even done anything to him or not worked as well as it should. Or Batman may have surmised that the mask is feeding him pain killer and thought a dart might have overdosed and killed him..
It was Batman’s ego. Prior to this scene Alfred even tells Bruce “what happens when you face Bane?” Bruce replies “I’ll fight harder, I always do….”
He thought because he beat Ras Al Ghoul, that he thought he could face Bane.
He could have also shot a grappling through his leg and swept him lol
But I guess the whole point of the scene, is that batman was extremely complacent and out of shape at this point.
Would like too see batleck fight
Bane knew Batman was slow that’s why he was letting Batman hit him to show him how slow he’s gotten and he was getting tired too so bane helped him get back in shape by breaking him and having him in the dark to regain strength to fight him you can see when bane took him to the prison he respected Bruce for putting up a fight
He whooped the absolute piss out of Batman geez louise
fRON D.I.E. SEC. He SCARED! 😂
What a scene 🔥 🔥
2:45 🥰🥰🥰
Patched his ass up 👊🏾
This scene is so badass. No one jumps on Batman, they all know Bane is going to wreck shop. They need to do a Bane origin story. "I am, the League of Shadows..."
Bane knew when he removed half of the cowl he knew in his head batman will be back
0:08-how did Bane hear Batman😂?
