Turmeric with black pepper, omega 3 and boron are the the supplements mentioned in this pod cast.
Thanks Doc
Thanks for saving time❤
boron, have never heard of that one! I take MSM, Turmeric (with black Peter and ginger), Boswellia serrata and undenatured Collagen type 2. it has worked really well for me with the pain etc. But I think I will add the boron and see what happens! Currently struggling awaiting a hip replacement, so really struggling with the ageing joints trying to compensate for that!
Thanks, i clicked add to watch later, a playlist that ive never watched ever not even once
How old are you

What an excellent video. No hype, no repetitive build up. Just plain speaking with useful information. Thanks! We all hate videos that take 90% of their time hyping a solution and only the last 10% do they start talking about a solution and then you find out it was a commercial... not really informative.
Really, has anyone ever gone to see their doctor to check a supplement? I can't even get to see mine for serious medical conditions.
Doctors dont want us to know what is good about these supplements.
I think he’s just covering his own butt
Drs in my experience never offer supplements, so he may be a homeopathic physiatrist or therapist. And anyone who can't get to see their doctor should get a different doctor if circumstances permit
Even when you do the Dr will say "I don't know anything about that".
😂
Tumeric with black pepper, early morning, in medium hot water helps a lot. Omega 3 is found in Flax seeds. I eat flax seeds in the form of ladoo.
What do u mean?
For arthritic knee pain, which began in my 30's -- as well as more recent hip pain -- over the years I've read a lot of books and have tried about every remedy and supplement on the market.
I am a strong believer in exercise for the reason that it works. But before embarking on an exercise program, I strongly recommend you purchase at least one good book on the knee and exercise for it, such as the books mentioned below. Credentialed professionals who do physical therapy for a living are a great resource. There are some of those with RUclips videos also.
I happen to have a Total Gym and have found that doing squats on it and building up my knees, provided I do enough of them and keep this up several times a week, has reduced my knee pain by about 85 percent ... and if I don't do the exercises for a while, I can tell it.
For additional strengthening, I use deep knee squats, hanging on to a sofa or something else to help stay stable.
As far as supplements, having tried everything, I experience the most pain relief from Type I and III collagen powder, 12 grams once or twice per day; I use Neocell or Anthony's brands, in shakes; on alternate days, Neocell tablets, 6 once or twice per day.
I also use and recommend Metagenics EPA-DHA capsules, 720 mg, and I add a DHA capsule with it; can be taken with or without food.
Added to these I've lately been using NOW Quercetin/Bromelain capsules, 2 in the morning on an empty stomach and these help also.
I am not affiliated with any of those companies mentioned.
I've also found that heat works well, I use a wrap-style heating pad ... however with the exercise and supplements I don't need that very often.
Knee books I have and recommend:
Treat Your Own Knee by Robin McKenzie
Treat Your Own Knees by Jim Johnson
both authors are orthopedic physical therapists
I use Raw Turmeric with Black pepper and powdered Mushrooms added to water in. I also eat Sardines in Olive oil and/or Tomato sauce.
One very important thing to note with turmeric is that it has quite strong blood thinning properties. I found this out after 'shaking hands' with a Stanley Knife and the hospital had a bit of a struggle stemming the flow. Fortunately, one of the Indian Doctors questioned me about any supplements I was taking and immediately spotted the culprit. I still take turmeric [it is very effective for me, particularly knees] but those folks already on blood thinners or who are going in for an operation must discuss matters with their Doctor before starting it's use. I have had it added to my notes at the GPs and at the 2 hospitals I regularly attend. Be prepared for a blank stare from many Doctors, as they will not be aware of this property, but a good pharmacist should have a better awareness of this potential problem.
Omega 3 can do the same.
Thanks for giving us the heads up
Next time be extra careful " shaking your hands with your pal "
Stay safe
Was Salaam
Thank you about blood thinner, needing this.
And it STAINS (if you’re having “tumeric lattes” or cooking with it-stains teeth, counters, cups… 🤦🏻♀️
@@differenttakethanmost
Staining is not an issue if you take the capsules containing the active curcuminoids derived from turmeric. Each capsule contains the equivalent of a big enough heap of raw turmeric to flavor several family sized meals. The same is true of the black pepper extract added to each capsule. It certainly pays to take these capsules with a meal containing fats/oils, as both the curcumin and pepper extracts are oil soluble and only when dissolved can they be taken up and made available for use by the body during the digestive process.
Buy from a trusted source - I use Piping Rock
Had an old Labrador years ago that was having trouble walking, very slow movement, I gave him glucosamine and after a week he really picked up speed and seemed himself again. I put one in his food every day.
As always, really clear, well explained and helpful. Thank you.
Your videos have been a godsend! Great information as always
Helpful and informative video for me who has just started to get knee pain in my 60s. Thank you
You're amazing! This is all (more) great information Will. Thank you!
Thank you so much for this presentation !!!!
Omega 3 I do take and I do feel it when I wait to get more of it.
I feel the lack of it.
Thank you for all this wisdom about having better health.
Many thanks go to you.
I like the information I get from your very well put together videos from your experience thanks a lot much appreciated ❤
I had arthritis in one knee. Both knees made cracking sounds. I knew it was only a matter of time for the other knee to blow. I used Bromelain. Working for me. Cracking noises in both knees gone .(Occasional crack in knee yet to blow). Both knees feel good.
Thank you very good information
Try turmeric & Borun for knee pain. You should notice a difference in two weeks
how much boron a day? thanks.
I do squats and leg presses a lot and I take fish oil, collagen, calcium, turmeric, and glucosamine for protecting my joints. I don't know what boron is but will look into it.
Thank you so much for your information Doc❤
Excellent video, just what I needed
I have found listening to this so helpful and informative and added to that you are not from "across the pond"!I shall look into these particular supplements as I am currently experiencing a crippling attack of knee arthritis (2 weeks). GP physio said to do certain exercises which made it worse. Rest and Paracetamol and 10% Ibugel at the moment. I would like to avoid knee replacement replacement if possible. I am 76, on Apixaban, Losartan, 1.25mg beta blocker and Adcal. Have been on Glucosamine for years and thought it was helping, but isn't now obviously.
im over 50’s…glad i found you Mr .😘
i taking pain reliever and B and D Vitamin( but i requested that to my Doctor after my own research).
have to really lose weights…cause.being overweight also the reasons of joint paints and inflammation.
Hi,good morning. I am from Mauritius
Am new to your channel. I am suffering from knee arthritis some three yeas back.Glad I came with your videos.I'll put them in practice and let you know .Thank you.
Very nice and comprehensive research information regarding supplements for arthritis Thank you doctor
Thank you, very informative, didn't realize about boron,
Doc you are the best in exercise and supplements for joint pain. Thank you. From Trinidad andvTobago
Thank You co much for the concise, helpful, information ,which No MD has ever given me.
I agree with your assessment of glucosamine. I had taken glucosamine and chondroitin for years for my arthritic knee. I was never sure whether it actually helped. Then I ran out of it and kept forgetting to buy more and went for several months without it. I did not find my knee any worse without it. So in my little study with n=1 glucosamine and chondroitin did not help arthritis.
what about you go on fasting, and go for seamoss as Dr.sebi says.
Glucosamine chondroitin worked for me. For about 2 weeks
Meloxicam was miraculous for my knee OA. For about two months. 🤣🤣🤣
😂😂😂👏🏽👏🏽
@@cynthiagonzalez658glucosamine helped me but caused lot of weight gain. Meloxicam is dangerous the doctor had me only take for 30days. The side affects are serious.
Boswellia Serrata extract is also often used to relieve knee OA pain and swelling. Like curcumin it is not very absorbable and so it is best to combine it with piperine (Black pepper) like curcumin or use a formula that is known to be highly bioavailable like ApresFlex. You should make sure to look into the safety of any herbal supplement, tolerable upper limits, etc., and the quality of whatever brand you choose.
Very interesting, we used glucosamine and chondroitin for a while and had no relief so your research backs this up. Will work through your suggestions and recommendations. Thank you.
Really helpful and interesting 😊
Simple and informative
Thanks for the wonderful information on Boron.
Dr. Harlow, I love all of your videos. They are very easy, useful and has helped me immensely.
Great tips. Thank u so much
I am still dancing and riding my ebikes and motorcycles on my 73rd Orbit around the Sun. Lessons from my own body have confirmed: Hydration along side low key sugar, alcohol, & carbs have made the most difference for me. 🏊🚣⛵🎶🌠 ... Experimenting w the Keto Diet while recording my diy glucose readings was among the biggest health related lessons of my lifetime. Yes to suppliments too. ... P.S. ... Lots of carbs were ok when I was younger, burning them off with athletic aerobic work cycles. Then my 3.5 months of a swollen knee led to the above insights about Carbs and the Keto Universe Health Option that can tackle "Insulin Resistance".
At what age did you start the keto diet and did it help with your knees?
@@smmds from CaptBill ... I first experimented via dropping all the grains (glutens) from my diet at about age 70, when I was handicapped by three months of my swollen knee. That experiment made a dramatic difference in Three DAYS. I then actualized burning fat for fuel a few months later. I had to fast for 3 days on proper electrolytes awareness to eventually confirm ketones in my blood flow system. I now believe the Keto Diet is a great way to clean up fatty livers, and inflammation issues.
thank you for this clear and concise information . best wishes
You are welcome!
I had awfully painful arthritis in my hip and was taking NSAIDs. A wonderful chemist recommended curcumin as an alternative and I want to give her a medal. It has changed my life.
Same as Turmeric, both anti inflammatory.Turmeric is the plant and Curcumine is the extract❤
I´m now for 2 weeks on anti inflamitory meds....does anyone know, if i can start with the natural product intake, or is it not working together well,
Thanks a lot!!!❤
Great info will😊
Thank you for improving our quality of life! You have the best videos. 💖
So pleased to hear you like them!
Great advice
Thanks for this interesting video. I'll be buying these 3 items.
Thank you for sharing this information 🙏🙏💕
You're very welcome!
I tried tones of glucosamine and chondroitin, and it did NOTHING for my OA hip and ankle (past injury.) Then I started taking large doses of D3 in early 2020. (Something about a virus? 😉 ) I was pleasantly surprised when, a month+ later, I woke up to find my chronic hip pain gone, along with ankle, back, and deep leg aches and pains. Turns out that immune cells produce less inflammatory agents when 25-D levels get up around 50~60 ng. Reduced inflammation gives the joint a chance to partially heal which, in turn, reduces wear and tear and inflammation. 3 years later, my joints still feel 20+ years younger.
As for Omega 3, I just eat one or two salmon burgers a day. I started doing this more recently, and it seems to have reduced BP substantially. Very nice!
Quality is very important. Thank you, Doctor!
True!
Thank you so much for all your information. I am a 71 year old female with a torn meniscus. Life is miserable! You are a mine of information and I am most grateful. Thank you!
Thanks s much f more info about these suppls.God blss , keep safe.
Hope you are feeling much better
You are very sweet, thank you. I am investigating stem cell treatment. Most effective I hear...
How are you feeling? I am 58 with torn meniscus. I did PRP injections. It helped but such a slow healing process...then I reinjured going down the stairs. So frustrating. Hope you are doing well.
Thanks Doctor for your very very explanative video on such an important subject .Really it will be very useful to every person suffering from arthritis. Thank you once again.
My pleasure!
I’ve not come across a vlog that explains the benefits of taking turmeric, omega 3 and boron quite as well as this - outstanding! I have stage 4 osteoarthritis in both knees and have been on medicated pain killers for a number of years. I have reached the stage that alternative supplements need to be considered and I am somewhat disappointed that my own doctor hasn’t discussed supplements with me. I am about to start taking turmeric and I hope that it will provide real benefits without the side effects that taking clinical medication over a prolonged period can have. Thank you once again.
If you haven't already, research turmeric/ginger shots. A little more complicated than just taking a pill but it has the added benefit of just feeling natural. I have a juicer so I make my own, usually a week's worth at a time. Good luck!
I have used turmeric with black pepper for 3 years now and almost immediately managed to stop the voltarol I had been taking for years.
I take tart cherry supplements. 😊
Thanks v.v. informative with regards
Thanks for sharing.👍💪🏻
Thanks for the helpful video.
I must state that glycosamine has been revolutionary for me.
My knees were damaged when I was hit by a drunk driver while I was bicycling back in 1990.
For 30 years I suffered knee pain. I was eventually diagnosed with arthritis.
By a stroke of luck, I encountered somebody in my line of work that had suffered a terrible list of injuries from a catastrophic car crash and she was the person who educated me on the benefits of glucosamine.
Within three days of starting the supplement I noticed a major change in my knee pain. It was gone.
I am a backpacker. I hiked through the pain for years. With glucosamine I no longer have to hike through pain.
Just the same, I am interested in those other supplements. I already take turmeric periodically but it's good to know that I have to up the dosage. I already knew about the black pepper.
Hi. I am in a similar situation, recently been diagnosed. I've been wondering if I should stop travelling altogether. Your post seems to suggest it is still possible for people with this ailment to travel.
I had used glucosamine for 20-25 years and had the best of luck with it until ONE day it seemed to turn on me almost overnight!!! I started to get bad swelling with bad pain in my joints. I think I developed an intolerance to shell fish from it because that's where its sourced. Just Wanted to let you know.
@@tmo.48
Wow, that is fascinating. But I'm also sorry you went through that ordeal.
I think I'll be okay. I grew up near the ocean and have had plenty of seafood and haven't built up an intolerance to it. It would save me money if I built up an intolerance to lobster, but that is not the story.
I hope I'm not getting a bunch of pollutants that accumulate in fish. I don't eat a lot of fish because they collect things like dioxin, mercury, lead and PCBs in their fat cells. I stick to the shellfish, which accumulate less than, say, tuna or swordfish.
Hi what supplements are you taking?
@revathik9225 well why don't you start a fasting, and use seamoss as dr.sebi adviced
Thanks doctor 4 ur info
Thank you. I looked up all the foods that have Boron in them and I eat most them all the time. I’ll look into stepping up eating more of them.
Hi Will
Thx for your wonderful videos. May i know whats ur take on Type 2 collagen ? And if good , how best to take ?
Thanks for that information Will. Is knee arthritis equivalent to hip arthritis in regards to treatment? In other words, will my hips benefit from your advice?
Thank you so very much!
Your videos are full of useful information and I follow your channel. I have a question which I hope your can provide some advise: How can you reduce the size of large dorsal metatarsal head osteophytes without surgery, if possible?
Hi, i´m new here....thanks for this interesting video....
For more than 20years i suffer from jointpain, kniearthritis, neck and lower backpain, i tried several natural remedies, but didn´t helped me....
I want to learn from you more, hoping i could learn to live without so much pain, Thank you again for the incredible work you do!!
i´m a new subscriber....greetz, ❤ Conny from Belgium
Love your program I want to weigh in on some thing I take turmeric I take a half a teaspoon of turmeric powder. I boil the water, put the turmeric in the water, stir it up and then I strain it to get any solids out of it into another cup. I only use one cup of water to boil but I put my half a teaspoon and the turmeric when I get it out of the microwave which is what I use to boil my water. Oh I stir it up real good then I strain it into another cup. I take the turmeric water add 3 tablespoons of lemon juice, 100% pure, a pinch of black powder a very tiny amount of cinnamon add that to the turmeric water and Sarah real good then I took a packet of green tea and really soak it as good as I can let it sit for at least 10 to 15 minutes then I take a tablespoon of honey. Add that to the drink stir well drink it down. Make sure you wait before you add a honey at least 10 to 15 minutes depending on how boiled the water is are you see running on the microwave? I have a high voltage microwave that’s three minutes if you have a low voltage microwave you might want to go for minutes and it works great and turmeric doesn’t do just what they say it does. It also will clean your liver out if you have a fatty liver over a small period of time with the turmeric, I add a tablet of ginger root as I drink it down that’s pill form, I take that every night and I’ll only helps my arthritis but it also helps me sleep at night ever since I came back from Vietnam I have been restless I’ve never had much of a good nights sleep not until now. Also, you might recommend that people take niacin it’s an over-the-counter supplement just straight niacin it has components in it that will relax your arthritis. You’ll be surprised you won’t have the tension. You won’t have the arthritis pain if you have moderate arthritis, I have moderate arthritis whether it will work on severe arthritis. I can tell you because I don’t have severe arthritis only moderate arthritis in my hands, my hip and my knees, but these are good items to think about because they’re worth it and that is called temp turmeric tea. whatever you do, do not take aspirin with your turmeric. It will have adverse effects and you won’t like it. I had excessive bleeding when I took baby aspirin. Every time I would go to the bathroom I would pour blood out like it’s a gallon and a half then I realize I’ve got a problem and I came to the conclusion finally with the doctors answer that stop taking the aspirin. It’s causing you to bleed a G.I. bleeding in the colon oh that’s the best I can give you sorry to make it so long. Love your program keep it up. I watch it when I can.
To everybody, you can buy cooker man, which is all you need cook a man is what does all the work you could avoid all of the other things that are involved with turmeric and just take Uckermann start with a very low dosage of the supplement and then if you need to work your way up a little higher do so, but don’t stay at a high level all the time try to stay within the medium range too much it can be excessive and you may have problems with gall stones and everything so you want to be careful and how much you use I will stay at the lower figure every day take whatever tablet at a low milligram do that every day and I think you should be all right
I took glucosamine, chondroitin, MSM and turmeric for 6 weeks and my knee pain is gone. I also take cod liver oil, boron and vitamin D3 with K2.
Thank You.
Very informative and well explained video. I’m impressed with Will’s integrity and probity bc he did not recommend any particular brand. Just backed his recommendation with research. I have been taking these supplements to ward off osteoporosis and reduce knee osteoarthritis. It’s hard to ascertain the effectiveness bc I’m expecting more challenges to my body as I age. However, at this stage, these supplements do seem to help.
Thank you. Most helpful, but what dosage is best. There are so many out there.
Thank you so much
I take all three for knee inflamation and they do work,, especially the boron. I went off the boron for awhile to see if I noticed a change and I definitely did!
Where did you get Boron and how you take it please 🙏
I would like to try boron. How much should I take? Tia
THANK YOU!
I have taken omega 3 supplement with a boron sup. Brilliant improvement.
I would also suggest watching the muscle building exercises that Will demonstrates.
Watch the exercise vids first. Then try them while watching- so you avoid the movement errors.
Last avoid eating high sugar foods and drinks and alcohol- which I found generated more inflation pain.
Great information, thank you so much
What about bone spurs does anything help? Thanks for sharing this video
Thanks mate...I've only been doing them for 2 days but your knee exercises have already made a big difference in my daily life😊
Turmeric and glucosamine works fine for me. Ibuprofen you can’t take too long it can damage your liver.
Thank you for this information. I'm relatively new to the knee osteoarthritis world, really starting to become painful in the past couple of years. I seek out natural remedies first, and have tried glucosamine with no success. I do take omega-3 and turmeric, but have not heard of boron as a supplement. I will give that a try!
Hi Will. Thanks for the information. I have some omega 3's, I didn't think to check with my G.P -she is awesome- I shall do this week & re the BORON as well very interesting. My copy of your book arrived from AUS AMAZON today 🎉 yay! I look forward to checking it out in the next couple of days. I'm pleased to hear you refer to the trials & to the fact that sometimes the most invested , funds these trials. _sneaky_. So . Cheers
What dosages do you recommend for turmeric and Omega 3?
Super cool information. Additionally Your English is easy to understand. It is not my native language. Thank you.❤
I have bone on bone knee ailment. I went from taking 2 prescription pain killers daily to zero with no pain after taking brewers yeast for a couple of months. It's not a cure, but I have no pain anymore.
Mr. Will, thank you for such an impressive and sensible presentation of the 3 knee arthritis supplements I love it and I would like your script of the talk if you can let me have the link to it.

Thank you. Ive been taking Chondroitin and glucosamine for some time and found it hasnt helped.
Collagen type 1 and 3 with Omega 3 have helped the most and your exercises to strengthen muscles to support the knees. Glutes.
Thanks for the info Will! It's good to see a nice looking healthy man(or woman), nice seeing them speaking of health, and they are not 60 pounds overweight. Do as we preach... Thanks again. Being healthy at 72 takes a lot of educating oneself. But, it is all worth it. Lost 68 pounds last few years eating well, and taking good supplements.
Thanks for mentioning the supplements. Can you suggest certain brand names for the Omega 3 fish oil supplements according to specifications that you were referring to?
Great video
Very good information because I just know that tumeric is good for our bone. I always love your medical information, understandable.
Not to change the subject,,,but I eliminated over eating red veggies like red bell peppers and tomatoes about 20 years ago and my dominant hand, which is a little knarly looking, no longer hurts, I used to soak it in epsom salt, but I think the red veggies contributed to the pain. I use a splash of turmeric in my egg almost every day also.
Thank you
The Magic for me, having gone from being 23 stones in weight, unable to get out my Car, on 2 occasions crawling from the car, in a terrible condition. Was the simplest of all, I lost weight, lots of weight, I was nearly 14 stones, through I have put on some weight now, I can walk 15 kilometres , my skin tags shrank, my libido has become far better, so many other benefits to detail .😊
1- Turmeric
2- Omega3
3- Boron
Try Joint Vibrance it has all this and more
I would add to what Doc said, Shilajit (not powder, rather black resin in glass jar)
I use Thrombocid Forte crème on my knees and works very well for me. It’s not expensive it’s worth a try!
Do you do any video regarding hand/fingers arthritis?
thank you and I will try the Borom
Thank You
I started noticing that my knee joints were starting to get a bit stiff. I started to increase my intake of Omega 3 in my diet (including an Omega 3 Cod Liver Oil supplement) and within weeks it was noticeable how much better my knees were feeling & working.
Which ones did you get ? Kindly send links please.
i love u daddy
That doesn't work for me either, but I keep taking it for other things..
try icing and a heating pad after
If you don’t like fish burps skip the fish and go to the plant that gives the fish oil omega 3----algae oil. I can take that one. I make my own turmeric capsules with black pepper. Boron is in my multi and my food. I think apples have boron.
Interesting thoughts on supplements.
Thanks for this video I use omega 3 shall now use tumeric an boron also
I find magnesium gel helps with my arthritic knee. White oil containing turpentine also helps.
my knees made loud creaking noise ...i take glucosamine ...dont creak anymore....i now have tumeric too..neck pain eased now also
Great video. Need to adjust the Mic input gain, your voice sometimes gets distorted.
Thanks.useful is egg plant good for arthritis have turmeric with peper everyday thanks again God bless
I usually have ankle pain I've been taking glucosamine and turmeric. This week my knee started bothering me. I took 800 mgs. Ibuprofen Didn't help at all. I took the turmeric pills plus the spice. The arthritis in my hands got worse.
I already take curcumin with piprin and omega 3 at bed time. I occasionally take trace minerals. I will see about boron. Good tip.
Wishing you all the best :)
Glad this included spelling since it sounded like Omika3. But the more he said it the closer it sounded like Omega
I was diagnosed with knee OA. I enjoy cycling an usually ride "long distances" 70 to 100 mile rides. I have been wondering if riding is good for the knee joint?
