Its just another day at work for many people at the Black Mesa Research Facility... or is it? Stick around to witness the Black Mesa Incident through Gordon Freeman's eyes!
Including but not limited too: realistic and well thought-out reactions to events, hand-animated hand animations (see what I did there xP) and all the graphical fidelity the Crowbar Collective offers in full 60FPS/1080p.

The fact that Freeman tried to show that he didn't want to hurt the Vortigaunt while this was attacking him shows a lot of emotion
Thank you! In my mind, its the first sentient species he encounters. It even speaks! (albeit vortiguese) Its somewhat obvious that it is sentient in my opinion, so attempting to communicate with it makes sense to me.
Try it with the Black Mesa Character Expansion add-on. It'll add various Human and zombie varients to interact with!
I think I’m going to implement that into office complex and beyond... I would have done that for uc but it’s a little tool late to full implement. Thankfully, it isn’t a super jarring transition imo. Back when I first made this I was unaware of all the cool mods that make black Mesa an even better experience... but now I am super excited to see how wounded marines and special scripted sequences can add to the “realism”
@@Validatormaybelater for Surface Tension, I'd love to see Gordon calm one of the Marines in shell shock, or assist that Marine Medic doing CPR.
@@WAcrobat19 Imo I think he would still be very wary, he would be pointing his gun and the marine, but holding out a medkit or dropping it on the floor near him

R3TЯ0-93 that’s the guy bleeding out in the floor, Gordon doesn’t make much noise except for some heavy breathing and grunting. I try to keep him as quiet as possible.

we are gettinng that hl2 vr mod with fully interactable guns, and honestly i would love this in vr aswell
i wanna explore the black mesa facility with allk the bells and whistles that comes with vr, i love the hl 1 vr mod but it just isnt vr enough for me

I agree man... unfortunately i'm told it was too difficult for Crowbar Collective to profitably make Black Mesa fully VR compatible... apparently one of the main reasons was that the textures in general are designed to be seen from a pancake perspective, if you view the game from a VR perspective the texture quality/optimization measures are obvious.
No fear though! I'm am in the process of porting Black Mesa to Source 2... and through that, it should be fairly easy to implement VR functions. We'd just have to upscale the textures where we feel its necessary I suppose.

This looks just like you are using an VR and gmod < VR + Gmod = VRmod > there is an VRmod addon in gmod/SFM in my gmod it dont work but in you're gmod it will work i think..........
But VR working inside Gmod as black mess don't work cuz

Black Mesa in VR is my dream... I’ve gotten it to work in a limited fashion with VorpX, but only the head movement. Please provide proof/link the workshop addon that provides VR controller support (holding/pointing weapons, interacting with the environment) Here is the explanation for the choice of title: ruclips.net/video/9z7ol5xRfJg/видео.html If you’d rather not watch that, in a nutshell I made that decision because my subscribers agree that my first person animation resembles VR footage. I'm sorry that you feel my title is clickbait. You aren't wrong though... its just more of an exploration into what Black Mesa could be like if it had a full (Boneworks-like) VR system. (for those who are confused the original commenter expressed his displeasure of the title, claiming that there was already VR for Black Mesa, but has since rescinded his earlier comment.)
