  • In This video I will be forging a Poker for a wood burner. On the decorative end I forged a Rams Head. The rams head and the poker came out quite well and I hope you enjoy the How to?

    Thanks for sharing your talents. Ram's head is what I want to try because my son has a Dodge Ram truck. You make it look so easy. I'm diy with gas diy forge. Sometimes I think I have too many irons in the fire. Following from Sydney Australia 🇦🇺

    I've watched a few of your forming videos where you make animals. I am blown away by how much detail you can create with just a small selection of tools. Inspiring for a backyard smith like myself. Especially since I'm trying to keep the inventory small since I have to lug it out every time I want to work. Cheers!

    Have you seen the sculpting jig John at Black Bear forge uses very simple and useful love your less is more beautiful work

      I used it in the dragon video and found it to be very useful. I also found that my leg vice id a little clunky and caused issues when holding it in the vice. I also cut up the jig as i need some angle. lol
      Etsy is coming really soon also.

    Yet again a fantastic video, you are an inspiration to many. But a bit of advice, stick to one unit of measurement, metric or imperial. It just gets a bit tiring listening to you convert one to the other. Just a bit of constructive criticism fella. Cheers

    • @danielmoss2089
      @danielmoss2089  5 лет назад +1

      Thanks dude but not sure what to say about the measurements. I get endless comments if I do say the imperial and to be honest I would rather not uses it but Americans are hard to please. If they don't understand they just turn off.

    Nice, I hadn't thought about smaller pokers for Pot belly stoves. Twisted dragon scales are cool can't wait to try that. Hand drilling orifices for burners are interesting, Maybe you could just show that bit. Cheers

    @4:00 that seems quite a thin heel on your anvil. I never noticed it before. Was your anvil, (or do you know) if it was designed for a specific work?
    Other than that. Just your usual top quality work, video, dialogue....

    Great video, thank you! I'd did seem like the camera wanted to focus on the background a bit leaving the working piece a bit out of focus. (Not complaining, as I know you work very hard on these videos, just letting you know) thanks again for all your time!
