Thank you everyone for the lovely comments (Aaron is my husband BTW), it is great to see that blacksmithing has so many fans.
Aaron has great skills and a nice shop. I want to build a forge very similar to the one in this video, looks to be very functional and nice looking.

Aaron, beautiful piece and very well done video. I will surely make some of these this weekend. I have been looking for unusual ideas for the handles of fireplace tools. These will work just great. Thank you very much for sharing your expertise and your time.
Mark.
+SaikouHD You can start with a fire, a hair dryer, a bench vise, a pair of locking pliers, and a ball peen hammer. I started with these tools and made knives for the last 7 years. Now I'm branching out into making other items.
Stunning craftmanship
Both very nice video and great forging!

I would love to learn this craft, but how do you do it justice when you have bills to pay.
Just beautiful work sir.

///__espectacular
do you use borax as flux during the weld?
super !!!!!
I agree...
יפה מאוד מאוד!!!
very nice :)
gotta look for a nearby blacksmith for a practical training
If I were you, and had a lot of spare time, I would put these on anything I could. sword? Ram-butted sword! Anything else? Ram head anything else!
That was cool. Too bad I'm still making ugly coal rakes and pointers. I made a decent gaff hook last time I fired up. I want to be more a blade smith but I like the animal heads. My forge is outside and I can't use it in winter. It looks as if it will fall over come the thaw with its in its first days. The first thing I need to do is make a proper stand for my fire pot and keep pounding until I get good.
If I may - and no offend intended - it seems you are in the habbit of pushing the workpeace rather deep into the fire - thus taking up slag and burning the iron - hence the rugged surface texture ...
otherwise grand work and very instructive!
No offense intended but can you show us how you do it?
Where could you buy a forge like that?
beautiful!.... but when i do it, its Always way harder then it looks.
