    I know what it feels to quit your job. The day I did it I was literally FREE

    I was unfortunately let go from my job about a month ago and did the same thing as you started creating a video diaries of how my life is going because I felt lost. I felt like a loser who can't amount to anything. I know 100% I am not either of those thoughts and that's what triggered wanting to make these types of videos because I don't want others to feel this way. Thank you for sharing these thoughts with us. 🥰

    omg!!! I found this video at the perfect time. I legit just put my two weeks in at my first full time job out of college yesterday! After I did it, I felt lighter but then I also freaked out because I realized that I won't have that stability of money coming in and I was worried about what people in my life would think. But, I quickly realized how my mental health truly is priceless and there's so many ways to make money. I plan on dedicating this new found time and energy to my podcast and I truly believe that putting yourself first allows your dreams to come closer to you! I'm wishing you so much love & success on all of your dreams and thank you for posting this journey

    I can relate. I'm in the same boat chasing a dream so I can relate to the toxic positivity, but at the same time anyone going against the grain to societal expectations will receive plenty of discouragement along the way, I say bask in the toxic positivity/delusion. At least that's what I'm doing😂
    As they say, dreaming is free. Good luck on your journey!

    • @__nicoleerin

      hi emmanuela, you're so right- this world is so full of pessimistic views on things that honestly sometimes it may be necessary to be a bit "deluded" in order to get where you want to go! sometimes i just think of "delusion" as another word for boundless self-belief- and i don't think there's anything crazy about that! because as you said, dreaming is free! love that ❤️ good luck on your journey as well 🥰

    Thank you for sharing your story, Nicole! You're helping so many people work through their own struggles. I'm going to keep coming back to see your progress! Work hard to achieve your dreams and follow the path that's been laid out for you. I'm a repeater - I quit a corporate career in medicine in 2021 for this pursuit. I had to return to work in 2022 because I lacked the financial cushion. Im ready to make my big step too. Seeing this video gives me hope & alignment🙏🏼 thank you

    This sounds weird but I’m 29 years old and this series is healing my inner child!! When I was 23 I quit my first full time job after college for the same reasons. But I wasn’t able to make any money and I was sharing an apartment with a friend so after about 2 months I decided to go back to corporate. There have been highs and lows since then, but I’m realizing I really do need to be doing something artistic/with my hands. I’m exploring that now while still working full time, but I’m proud of you girl!!! I hope you find something that’s really meaningful to you that makes you feel like you’re living your best life 🥰 ALSO!!! Please read the book creative visualization by shakti Gawain! She talks exactly about what you’re talking about as far as affirmations and visualizing your ideal life, even if you don’t fully believe it when you start, it becomes your reality and you start to believe in yourself. Interesting stuff! It’s not woo-woo if it works!!

    Nicole I’m so happy to see your videos. I can relate so much, I’ve had 17 jobs since I started working aged 17 and I’m currently working as a barista. I’m already planning my exit strategy 😂
    I’m also an artist like you and working an ordinary job just drains me so much. I totally agree when you spoke previously about freedom and autonomy. It’s so difficult for me when someone is telling when to work and when I need to do something. I feel spoilt and selfish but I know I’m not. I’m empathetic and I care too much actually. But I feel so sad that I’m doing myself a disservice by not allowing myself to create art and be the best version of myself that I can.
    I hope your side hustles go well and you manage to support yourself. It also got me thinking maybe I should try going back to temporary warehouse jobs like I used to. At least I can come and go when the work dries up and plan my year and freedom a little better.
    You’re doing so well and I will take a look at your artwork. All the best ❤😊

    I think the scariest part for me of quitting my job would be procrastinating, also I have a lil human that depends on me, so financial security is very important. I am making my plan to expand my business, that task grab it idea was amazing. I keep thinking of advertising my closet organizing skills. I love helping people declutter clothes 😅 .. great video ❤

    • @__nicoleerin
      @__nicoleerin  Год назад

      i totally get that, it can definitely be hard to self-motivate once you're completely in control of your own time. the pressure of it is hard enough as an individual so i can only imagine the weight of having a whole other human to take care of too! but it sounds like this closet organizing idea is something you'd truly be excited about pursuing- if you end up going through with it i'm sending you so much support 😊 ❤️

      love that for you! interior design seems like a super interesting field to get into. i actually didn’t go to school for it- the design project i did was a one-off that i got off of a freelancing site. sorry i can’t help more D: but i will say the way i got that job was just with pictures of rooms i had designed before. i think it’s more of a field that you can get hired in as a result of your portfolio more than a certification or degree or anything. hope that helps!
