I've been watching these type of videos all day, from different people. I think the writing is on the wall for me.

I just left my 9-5 job. I feel relieved, liberated, and worried about how I'm going to make ends meet. But at the end of the day I'm grateful for the gift of TIME!

girl i feel you, it’s a liberating feeling but also a bit of a feeling of floating in the void lol. but i couldn’t agree more, the time to figure out how you actually want to spend your life is the most valuable 🤍

I think that it is brilliant to pursue your creative side, while you are in a position to do so. You are young, and this is the time to find your passion. Otherwise, you will be in the same position as me…old and stuck in a corporate job that actually makes me feel bitter. I could so relate to you saying how hard it is for you to even complete one task, without being distracted. I am so thankful for platforms like TikTok and IG, or my brain would decline to nothing. I could truly feel the emotions you are expressing . Wishing you much good fortune. 🔮

@@__nicoleerin You are lovely, but I graciously accept your good vibes. On the upside, at least I get to WFH. Sometimes, we just have to temporarily content with the trade off. 🌟✨💫

Good for you! I so relate to this, it is so hard for me to want to do any kind of self care or work on myself at all after a long day at a job I have no interest in. There is nothing wrong with my job, I have had lots of jobs and honestly there was nothing wrong with any of them really. I just didn't like them, they weren't for me. Not what I want to do. So getting out of bed feels like a struggle every day and spending the majority of my time and energy on someyhing I have no intetest in is just crushing. I so envy you that you are in a position to just quit .... man I wish I could do that! I'm still working on my out plan ... but I can't just quit. Yet, anyway. One day ❤
I wish you all the best!

I don't allow a "corporate Job" to dictate who I am, or how free I feel. I am free to be me, do as I want. It's a JOB, nothing more. People have mortgages, fixed expenses and other obligations. So quitting is not an option for many. When you are young, and living at home, the options are more there. I don't feel "stuck" at all. I get to pursue what I love and want on the weekends and evenings. I feel grateful for being employed.

    • @__nicoleerin

that is great for you! i think it's a very person-to-person thing as to whether a 9-5 structure feels fulfilling or not- there's no wrong or right, just what is right for that person :)
and yes exactly, i totally agree and acknowledge that quitting is not an option for many- i speak about that in a few of my videos; i had the privilege of still living at home when i quit which gave me the flexibility to begin building my own businesses without having to worry about too many expenses or huge obligations like those you listed.

And once you are "unemployed", you are perceived a certain way by prospective employers. But if you are pursuing your own business, then enjoy the challenge. A corporate job (in insurance no less) is not designed to be 'creative". So one needs to be aware of the nature of the business. It's way better for the company, who will benefit from hiring someone that WANTS to be there.
