I quit my job about six months ago. I spent time traveling, resting, and really thinking about what I want longterm. I picked up a job serving to comfortably pay my bills and continue my debt repayment. This is the most relaxed I've been in five years. However, finding a job that I actually want that fits within my career has not been easy. Despite all the good from leaving my job, it's hard not to feel insecure or downtrodden on whether I've done the right thing or not. Thank you for making this video. It's lifted my spirits some.

All this sounds wonderful. My issue is, if I quit my job that I don't like I will probably end up getting another job that is as bad or worse. You have to take into consideration location. Where I am, there's trucking, nursing, factory work, retail, and restaurants. None of these are ideal for me. I managed to find an office job as a seminar planner and it's draining my soul. But what other job am I going to find around here that pays as well as this and one that I actually enjoy? Frankly, I've never had a job I liked. Ever. I really have no idea what job I would actually want. So all I'm left with is finding work that will pay my bills. Yet, I'm so unhappy. I can quit my job today and enjoy sleeping in and doing what I want. But eventually I have to find another job and I'll go back to being unhappy. I don't have a network of people who have amazing jobs I can do. And I can't move. I'm just stuck and unhappy until I can retire in 35 years.

I’m sorry it looks like you have to be stuck in jobs that make you unhappy. I pray it gets better and you find something that makes you happy

I did that and I had never been happier than during 3 months of being free and jobless

This is one of the channels that gave me the courage to start my RUclips channel 7 months ago about self development. Now I have 683 subs and > 100 hours of watch time. I know it’s not comparable with others but I’m still proud I started because I’ve been learning so many lessons that I could haven’t learned without getting started in the 1st place.
This channel also inspired me to upload my recent videos to share my opinions about the main things that truly impacted the way I live. They're a couple of my most vulnerable videos that I've been hesitant to post for many months because of the fear of being misunderstood but I finally decided to overcome that fear so others can learn from my experience so we can all grow together. They're packed with valuable information about the relationship between a job and happiness.

Comments like this makes all of this worth it.
And 683 subscribers is pretty great, keep going!

@@kokoademosu8912 Whoever you are, I don't know you personally but I can say based on your posts and profile, you're one of the non-judgmental and open-minded people who is not fixated on tangible or external factors in order to learn from someone like me. Just because someone doesn't have a piece of paper as a credential, doesn't mean that person is not entitled to share personal experiences with the hope & intention to inspire others. Keep up with whatever it is that you're doing to improve mankind or improving your life even to a slight degree each day. This is just one part of a bigger puzzle for creating my RUclips channel about holistic health. I literally could have died back when I was 14 years old due to major depression but here I am right now replying to you, a RUclipsr, who's full of fulfillment and dedication to help others to be a better version of themselves. I ain't better than anyone else but my old self. That's all that really makes this RUclips thing more meaningful and enjoyable. Thanks so much for your support! I am hoping that you can join me with this endless personal development journey! :)

Great video, one of the only videos to advise that you're going to be scared and anxious - even when leaving an already anxious situation. Channels like this have pushed me to upload my own content.
