    Hey my 2007 honda civic si started making this squeaking noise from the clutch pedal only when i release the pedan and im in gear, when im parked i push and release the pedal and there’s no noise, do you know what can be causing this??

  • @youngboyharless9769
    @youngboyharless9769 7 лет назад +4

    think i'm going to get this for my 9th gen Si.. for 70 bucks if it can take some slop out "mainly going into third" then it is so worth it. I've also got a Ktuned Clutch master cylinder and slave to put on soon :) the bushings would make it that much better! love your 8th gen si bro

    • @TheGerbsteve
      @TheGerbsteve  7 лет назад

      +Taylor Harless I think that you should. How is the 9th gen? I still kind of want one haha. K tuned makes great products. Thank you man, she's coming along the way I want her. I have so many more plans for midnight 👌🏼

    • @youngboyharless9769
      @youngboyharless9769 7 лет назад

      i love it man! But it's my first SI so lol i'm kinda biased. I almost got a 8th gen in black but i really wanted blue and the 9th was dyno blue with 72xxx and a one owner. I'm at 77xxx right now and loving it. Going into third is notchy sometimes but i hear that is common. It's a blast to drive! i just wish everyone else would learn how to drive and go the speed limit... or 5 over haha

    • @TheGerbsteve
      @TheGerbsteve  7 лет назад

      The blue 9th looks so good. Do you have a fg4 or fb6? Get these bushings, that should help the problem a bit. You can also try and change your tranny fluid if you haven't done that already. No matter what honda you have, they're fun cars. The si is just perfected man, clutch, engine, etc... People drive like old farts haha

    • @youngboyharless9769
      @youngboyharless9769 7 лет назад

      fb6! and yeah a tranny fluid change is probably a good place to start. Have you always used honda Mtf? or is the synchromesh blend going to do the same thing? i hear mixed reviews . And yeah man, haters gonna hate but Honda is obviously doing something right.. the new Type R is already sold out :( lol new 2017 si's are also all bought up in my area.. still haven't seen one on the road yet though.

    What happened to that super tall long shifer knob? Is the long term review a no go?

    • @TheGerbsteve
      @TheGerbsteve  7 лет назад

      +Jeremy Bunton I'm running it in my daily civic ex. I like the oem shift knob weight more. What long term review?

    • @jeremybunton1629
      @jeremybunton1629 7 лет назад

      Oh I know you didn't do a long term review, I was just figuring there was something you didn't like about it since you took it off. I was thinking about getting the skunk shifter. It gets really good reviews, but Ill probably just leave the stock one on. Hate spending that kind of money on something that doesn't make the car run better or look a good bit better. I cleaned my mass air flow sensor today and put in those new JDM headlights. They sensor cleaning took all of 15 mins, but man getting that bumper off and swapping out those head lights was a good 3 hour job. Thank goodness I had some super long extensions, a few of those headlight bolts were way back up in there. They sure do look good though.

    • @TheGerbsteve
      @TheGerbsteve  7 лет назад

      Honestly, the shifting is better with a weighted knob. If the extended one had more weight, it'd be a different story. If i were you, i'd leave the stock one, spend money on performance parts intake, exhaust, header, etc... What lights did you go with? The bumper can be a pain in the ass, i agree haha.

    • @jeremybunton1629
      @jeremybunton1629 7 лет назад

      I went with the ones below. I didn't want to go to far from the original look. I went ahead and replaced all 6 bulbs since I had them out. I had no idea the 6 bulbs were going to be about 100 bucks. I didn't even do any fancy leds. I probably could of reused the old ones, but Ive never had to change one up front in 10 years so I figured it had to be a matter of time before one goes.
