The hash tag cop sure likes to goof around and laugh, when he ran that plate and it came back stolen, he put on his game face and was really serious and spoke with clear commands. I would love to do a ride alone with him he is a great cop..
I think they all had a good time and knew how to laugh. The driver was a marine and was well.... driving. So that is why he appeared a bit more focused.
@@anonyt3554 no they all became focus when that had that stolen car in front of them. they were having a good time but became very focus and serious when that situation came up
@@yogib37 I didnt say they werent focused I said they all new how to laugh and have a good time. Cops are well trained and possess the ability to be focused on theyre surroundings even while laughing and having a good time. I said the driver appeared more focused because he is driving and has marine core training as well. Furthermore he is the newest officer to the force in the vehicle so he probably tends to be a bit more serious and not as relaxed and comfortable.
As a British person, it's great to see the real work that police in the US do day to day, as apposed to the highly publicised negative incidents that everybody hears about. Keep doing this, this is going to create so many cops, thank you for your service!
I’m in my 3rd year studying criminal justice. I’ve done a handful of ride alongs and most officers have been such down to earth people. First responders see things a lot of other people will never see. And have to go home at the end of the day.
How on earth is this better than live pd quality? The entire video is just them driving around talking. After 24 minutes they get a HIT on a stolen car and that was pretty decent but it was only in the last 7 minutes of the video.
@@johnwillman9400 It is better because you get to see more of the character of the officers and see most of what happens leading up to the incidents after getting to know them. I would rather watch this than live PD any day!
Can you please keep doing these ride along vlogs.. This is something special and not a lot of departments do this so its cool to see one showing the public what policing is truly about. Great video, again please keep it up lol!
These videos with four cops in the unmarked are pure gold. It's got that night out with the boys vibe but at the same time doing police work. I hope you guys make more vlogs with these unmarked proactive units.
I grew up with pound signs too. As far as I know hashtags are used to tag things so theyre easier to find, like #ridealong or #backtheblue I love that you went in and explained to the employees what was going on that was so nice.
The Police usually do. It is a private property. It sucks that so many people think cops are just assholes for no reason. They do what any reasonable person would because they are reasonable people.
Great to see cops being normal people and then when the time comes they put their game face on to get the Perps. Great job to my hometown Chico PD! Love these guys even though I’ve been in cuffs a few times with them they have always treated me with respect. 👏🏼
These are awesome videos...# Many people think officers are like robots or something and forget they are people too. I love that you guys had a bunch of fun in the car, showing the community how real Cops actually are, complete with real senses of humor. I currently live in Redding and I'm on my way back home to Tacoma Washington here soon to do my PAT and written exam on the 29th for Tacoma PD. Wish me luck!#

True range story: We told one of the newbies that policing up the brass would go faster if she would get the "brass magnet!" She tore the range and range gear apart looking for it for at least thirty minutes. Magnets don't work on brass... U.S. Army military police eight years #
HI guys so I just wanna say you guys are great police officers! Lol the starbucks they went to is basically across from my house. I read they dont do the civilian ride along program anymore. If so thats a shame it would be a great resource for people that are interested in becoming an officer. Great video
I RECOMMEND A CHEAP IR LIGHT FOR INSIDE THE CAR. That way you can ride dark but the camera picks it up as if you have the light on. Stick it on the window suction mount or something

We have to pick up all that brass and clean the range. And mainly pick up wood from shooting out of cover. That’s for one German state’s police academy.
In my country, LEO's always roll in pairs of two, so when people see a police car on the road following them, they get really anxious. When in reality 9/10 times the vibe in the car is the same when these guys were talking about hashtags and pound signs. General shenanigans. This video is really good and the car scene makes you forget that these are LEO's and not just guys being dudes. I never had to smash brass in the military, but I remember digging brass out of the ice. Late winter there are times when snow melts during the day and it gets ice cold during the night. So shooting ranges get covered in ice. When the hot brass flies out and lands on the ice, it melts the ice, gets cold and it gets buried in ice. So during winter we had to use our fingers and Etools to dig brass out of the ice. At the end of the session, your fingers were frozen and aching and your ass would ache from constantly falling on it because apparently traction does not exist on ice. God have mercy if you collected brass in your helmet and then fell on your ass on the ice when carrying the brass back to the brassbox. I don't know of any department in my country that doesn't pick up brass at their ranges.
Somebody call A&E because this is live PD quality.
right exactly I felt immerse in this film like i was there not some fake shit !
I thought the title said Chicago PD.Its CHICO PD! My bad. 😉 😁
