    It's funny because here in Tampa we also have a deputy who likes to sit on the corner of our street just looking for people who roll or disregard the stop sign and it's gotten to the point where old timers will pull-up a chair and just watch XD. We live close to a school as well so it makes sense to wake up drivers who aren't paying attention, especially around a school zone. Appreciate the great videos guys keep it up!

      @@noobfax4395 I did a ride-along with my sheriff's office, we went atleast 20 over pretty much all the time. Most calls were urgent enough to speed, but not enough for lights and sirens. I did it with a K-9 deputy though, and he doesn't have a specific zone to patrol so he has to cross the whole county when the dog is needed.

    • @Missmay777
      @Missmay777 8 месяцев назад

      @@skyknight1281 reason I stated “I’ve heard” and not that “I know.” And I doubt there are not any departments that push to meet a ticket quota, if at very least an unspoken rule that is highly encouraged by shaming the police that are lacking as “unproductive.” It’s a huge money maker for the system that ultimately, through other budgets of course, pays them. It also keeps them busy, and depending on the ticket, or if arrest, the jails occupied and courts in need of service. It’s silly to assume that there isn’t corruption in the police department when there is everywhere else, and at the least, one could say it’s a selfish example of job security.

    I understand the letter of the law about coming to a complete stop....but when there's no pedestrians or cars at the intersection, and it's just that car...that does seem a little ticky-tack. There's similar intersections near where I live and people almost never come to a complete stop because there's never any pedestrians in the crosswalk and there's almost never any through traffic. The whole point or having a stop sign is to let other cars, or pedestrians, go....but if there's no one else at the intersection then it does seem a little nit picky
