  • One of us in this wonderful community requested this recipe: 4-ingredient mandazi with a whole packet of flour! (2kilograms) One of the recipes I meal-prep is mandazi. I thought, why not? Someone else might be interested in this recipe. This is also considering the fact that I had also got a request in my inbox on IG for a mandazi recipe for business.
    In case you'd therefore like a mandazi recipe to make lots of mandazis on a budget for an event or for meal prepping, or for business, this is definitely the recipe to go for.

      About thickness, when rolling out the dough, don't make it too thin. Let it be at least a centimeter thick, or slightly more. I hope this will help.

    Hi Mom Cla, how can one substitute all-purpose flour for Cake flour, will result matter/differ. And apart from the 4 ingredients what else can someone add to this specific Recipe?. Thank you in advance. And I appreciate for your recipes I watched couple of them. I just subscribed, just got your channel today and I watched already almost 5 of your recipes

      I sincerely appreciate this. Thank you so much! Thank you too for subscribing.
      ☺️Let me try to answer:
      I've not substituted cake flour for all-purpose before but I think you may need just slightly more cake flour than all-purpose. My little research shows you can add 2 extra tablespoons of cake flour per cup.
      You can add up to 4 eggs, to the recipe. You can also rub in upto 3 tablespoons of butter into the dry ingredients before adding the wet ingredients. The Mandazi will come out very tasty too. I hope this helps..

    • @recipesandhospitalitywithclara
      @recipesandhospitalitywithclara  7 месяцев назад

      With cooking, the skill develops as you do. You keep working on a smaller portion of the recipe, then try another one and then you'll keep perfecting your skill as you continue cooking. The problem comes when you never try.
      For instance, try the basic 4-ingredient recipe I mentioned in the video that you start with only 2 cups of flour. Then keep continuing from there.
      I also keep learning as I continue cooking. Hope this helps!
      And thank you so much for watching too!

    • @recipesandhospitalitywithclara
      @recipesandhospitalitywithclara  6 месяцев назад

      It's a little tricky for me now that I don't make them for business usually. Though I would say the oil will depend on the size of your pan. A big pan may call for more oil but may do the work faster. I would think of at least 1 to 2 litres of oil to be safe. I hope the other ingredients in the recipe will be a helpful guide. 😊
      I hope this helps Sylvia.

    I greet u mama. What amount of cooking oil can be used?

    • @recipesandhospitalitywithclara
      @recipesandhospitalitywithclara  7 месяцев назад

      Greetings to you too! Usually it is an amount that can fit into your pan well for deep frying. If your pan is big, you might use more but the process will be faster, and vice versa.
      Set aside at least 1 & 1/2 litres or so. Could be more or less. Thankfully some will be left to use after deep frying.
      Hope this helps.

    • @recipesandhospitalitywithclara
      @recipesandhospitalitywithclara  9 месяцев назад

      Hello Paul, I think one can do what they find best. I like using flour so I try to use cooking oil only when frying and the little I've put in the dough. I know some though find rolling with oil easier. You could go for what works best.
