    So when a car has a 4 star ANCAP you guys mention it as a big downside, but when it's unrated (effectively 0 starts) you mention safety positively multiple times.

    • @sidjyothi
      @sidjyothi 3 месяца назад

      ANCAP rating is irrelevant given 5 stars is mainly given to cars that have all the Bing's and bongs. Any car sold in Australia is structurally sound and will keep you safe in a crash.
      So, least concern to a lot of people. If unrated ANCAP were an issue, then the land cruiser wouldn't sell so much

      Unrated doesn't equal 0

    You have a chapter on range but you don't say what the battery range is ...

    • @Drivecomau
      @Drivecomau  3 месяца назад +1

      Apologies for the confusion, range in this instance refers to the model line-up. The MG 3 runs a 1.83kWh battery - it's not designed to run solely on electric power alone, and can only do so for short distances. The system is designed to cycle charge frequently, running the car at low speeds, with the motor assisting the engine under acceleration rather than powering the car outright like a plug-in hybrid can.

    "Budget Hatch"? ... It ain't no budget hatch. Too expensive. The real-world fuel consumption is pretty ordinary for a hybrid as well.

    It only has 128nm of torque?

    • @bencarter9739
      @bencarter9739 4 месяца назад

      That means nothing to some people. Not everyone want so to 0-100 in 2 seconds.
      Plenty of guts for around town.

      Plus a 3 speed auto, I am guessing that means the gears are taller since fewer gears.

      MG doesn't quote combined torque for Hybrid but other reviewer says 420Nm.

      Don't worry yet again. They can't built this new model quick enough to meet global demand.

      Your phone is chinese, your laptop is chinese, your tv is chinese, your pc and monitor is chinese, your climate is chinese, your router is chinese, your t-shirt is chinese, your shoes is chinese etc., etc., etc. And another strong comment; an european car contains 50-60% chinese parts in the car...

      @@tamascsanaki9220 There’s a difference between supporting the CCP directly or not. If you buy an Apple iphone your money goes to Apple regardless if the iphone was made in China.

    Doesn’t change the fact that it is a sub-poor quality crap Chinese car. Another rolling turd that will chew spark plugs in 20k and need a tow to the nearest dealer. (Coming from an experienced service advisor that unfortunately deal with MGs daily).

      Oh stop the BS. You are just a old deranged boomer that still live in the 1970's cold war era. The rest of us appreciate how the Chinese cars are preventing the legacy car makers from overcharging us like we are made of money!

      @@thearlongpark No, my dealer owner keeps me employed and I’m employed to advise for Nissans but somehow we have been stitched up with getting MGs come through because they are too cheap to open a dedicated workshop for them.

      @@JoshL1 Most dealerships service many different manufacturers nowadays as relying on a single manufacturer is no longer financially viable. So by servicing the MG your dealer owner get more revenues compare to just servicing Nissan.
