@@xy9927 Hi. You’re going to love the Blues over SF Bay. ❤️ The Blues fly out of Oakland so get a spot on the wharf/ boardwalk/pier directly in front of Alcatraz which is where the Diamond breaks right and the solos will be right above you to open the show with the OMRT ( opposing Minimum Radius Turn ). Have fun. I hope to be there too. ✈️✈️✈️✈️ ✈️✈️
Mr. Hughes I really want to thank you for your videos I know that I can count on you to have the most wonderful high definition and quality work in shooting the blues I live in Texas now and seeing your videos makes me feel like I'm back in the bay area!!!thank you once again keep up the good work 👍👍👍👍👍👍🦹♂️
If I did not have my respective Crohn's illness I would have liked to have gone into SF to see the Blue Angel's show live in person. I had to consider lots of little but important details with my illness before thinking about heading out. Your more than excellent video gave me some great insight into what the big show was like. Excellent work by you.
...and l currently live near an airport and hear the military jets with their supersonic sound & l LOVE it. No matter what l an doing, when l hear the jets l run outside quickly. LOVE IT!!
It was our 1st time there, at Crissy Field, wow what an experience. Don't take it for granted we have such a bad ass military that can bring this type of air power in our defense...
I saw F/A-18's on a daily basis in the Navy was also lucky enough to see the SF performance 3 different times. Now I live in San Diego as a civilian and see the F/A-18's overhead on my way to work or just going to the store and it still gives me a sense of pride.
Thanks for sharing! My wife and I watched for a while from our rooftop in the Richmond where they’d come loop around before heading back through the bridge, and enjoyed what we saw, but definitely didn’t see a lot of the acrobatics like this!
Too bad I'm out of state studying at university or I would have attended! Miss going to these shows! The skill it takes to fly those aircraft amazes me every time.
i seen the BLUE ANGLES 4 so many yrs this was the best show because they flew over the crowd so low not once but twice it was HEAVENLY SIMPLY THE BEST 4 EVER Steve Venegas
Just pure AWARENESS! I live in Seattle so I get to see them during Fleet Week also…Along with hydroplane races on Lake Washington! Great Video I watch it on my brother-in-laws 80in. HDR…just so awesome!
Fantastic filming!! And the perfect location to film as well. The Blue Angels are actually practicing in our "back yard air space" as I watch this! They will be offering a show in Loveland, CO this weekend and it was an absolute joy and honor to watch them practice! Such a full body experience, isn't it?? Bless them all!! New Bucket List Item - attend a Blue Angels Air Show! I'll be working this weekend :(
I was there on Saturday. I had an invitation on Sunday to meet the crew, climb the aircraft, and have a chat with them at Oakland airport which was awesome. After I watched this awesome video I was wondering if there would be any thumbs down, and people did not disappoint me :) I always wonder why people do that without adding any comments in the comments section why they dont like something.
When i resided and worked close to the border of Mexico, you can see the BA practice/perform almost daily as their winter home is down in that area. Cool little Navy Base!
Me and my Family Saw the Blue Angels In that day. It was amazing they flew right behind us and caught us off guard and ended up scaring us 😂 what a experience
As a kid growing up in Bay Area, my parents always took us to the air show every year. It was always entertaining for us, to spend the day at the shows. Since then, I’m always inquiring when they’ll be flying again here in the Bay Area, and this year I didn’t get a chance to go. A huge amount of people turnout and where do I park? Thank you for posting the vids. As it turns out, I did go after all 😃👍🏼
I was there on Saturday and No.3 wasn't with them for the first half of the routine. Not sure why they were down a plane, but they ended up doing a V formation instead of the usual diamond. Made it interesting to see something slightly different to usual.
Thank you Spencer for this! Absolutely awesome.. loved the whole video and MRT heading towards Alcatraz was sick and sneak pass with vapes was truly epic. See you in February.
I wish I could have seen this in person, I got lucky enough to watch a practice run on Friday when I was walking the golden gate bridge. Coolest moment of my life watching the F-18s flying overhead.
During the show a small part fell off a plane. It was determined to be easily replaceable and was left behind when the pilots left town. A song was written and dedicated to the event - it is called - "I left my part in San Francisco".
Ah yes. This has been a longstanding tradition in SF. In the years that I worked in the design district around Jackson Square I can remember hearing and sometimes seeing the Blue Angels. Hearing mostly, as I was on city streets between buildings. The sounds of those jets could be heard all over the north side of the city.
How are you able to track the aircraft and still have the footage study? I shot at the SF Fleet week but the footage is very shaky cuz I’m all the way zoomed in!
It wasn't fleet week but when my wife and I biked across the Golden Gate Bridge, I noticed a sudden glare from the side of my eye. When I looked and stared to see what it was, it was a fighter jet flying by..I'm no expert, but man..it was an amazing site to see.
Thank you for sharing. Watching the Blue Angeles made you proud to be American. However SFO airport won't allow the Blue Angeles to park the planes there. But Oakland airport always patriot enough and generous enough to make fleet week Blue Angeles fly by possible.🤠🤠🤠
great view of the show! where were you watching from? I was in town that weekend for a baseball game and missed the show! but you could feel the excitement in the city!
At one point during the show we heard a loud pop, like a very large fireworks mortar going off close by, you could feel it in your chest. My friend thinks it was a sonic boom, but he doesn't realize that at that close range, it would cause damage to nearby windows, not to mention eardrums. It's also against regulations. Wonder what that was lol.
Hey Spencer I got a bearcat scanner this year for the show... Held it next to my phone as I shot video and it worked awesome.. try it out you'll love it... So cool listening to them as they fly phone picked up the scanner perfect 👍
I flew out from Pensacola to see this. Absolute awesome. Beautiful weather, awesome vibe, 10 out of 10. Two Enthusiastic THUMBS UP.👍👍
October in the Bay Area is so nice .
I am going to see this next week. Can you recommend a good spot?

I was surprised that Salinas does a really good air show also if you're ever in that area

Great work as usual! Four years ago I lucked into being on Alcatraz during the show. If you can plan that, I'd highly recommend it!
Yes this weekend we were on the boat to Alcatraz and caught the show!!
I was in SF on vacation in 2007 and didn't even know this was going to happen. We watched from Fisherman's Wharf and will never forget it!

Perhaps they were holding their iPads upside down 😂

I was at Sunday's show, definitely there is a huge difference in sound with the super hornet.
Nice work Spencer! I actually enjoy the crowd reactions in the video. It’s a nice touch!
Thanks!
Fantastic. I’m enjoying this so much. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.
First time watcher won't be the last Fabulous video!
Wonderful video and editing on your part and a double WOW ! for the Blue Angles.
My brother flew with the Angels when he served in the Navy. I can still remember their roar over our neighborhood as they took off.

You can park at Stonestown and take the 28 bus
The low pass was awesome this year, last time they went that low was awhile back.
Was thinking the same thing. I’ve seen videos of them going this low from 10+ years ago but had never seen them do that in person until this year
which part?
Sunday’s sneak pass was the lowest out of all the days
It was a great show! 6 of us on my boat just west of the the”No Go” box by St Francis Marina.
Once again, great video! Thank you!!
Thank you very much for sharing this spectacular show.

He broke off from them as they made their way down to angel island and flew back to Oakland
Love the excitement of the blue angels
1st time seeing the fly-by right above the water surface 9:31 Loved how it “kicked up” water spray. Very cool !
I agree, Me Too, 🥰❗
That's the sound of freedom baby!
Thank you Spencer for this! Absolutely awesome.. loved the whole video and MRT heading towards Alcatraz was sick and sneak pass with vapes was truly epic. See you in February.
