My dad is a retired Air Force jet fighter pilot. We enjoyed watching this together and he explaining all the maneuvers. Was the icing on our Father’s Day cake.
Check out some F-35 demos. I saw one in person this past weekend at an airshow. Absolutely insane. The thing was like a spaceship as it could literally stop in mid flight, hover, and do a full 360 like a freakin frisbee.
Hmm?🤫🤔earth looks pretty flat to me....view music video "I will not bow" by Breaking Benjamin, pay attention out window when he walks with the mic...sorry ballers, it's flat
As much as I would like to think I could do this, it takes a special person to fly these fighters. I get dizzy just watching lol Thank you Major John "Rain" Waters 🇺🇸 for your service sincerely
Damn, this guy did a triple barrel roll. Absolutely top notch footage and no music to spoil it. The absolute ultimate buzz, short of taking off in a rocket heading for space. The acceleration and agility of the aircraft and the pilot's obvious skill are jaw dropping.

Actually the Google Earth built-in flight sim is great! You can even fly on Mars, the Moon, and underwater (if you break the surface at a shallow angle).

@@recroompaintballelite8203 Same here dude, but visible lol. I eventually spent a few Gs and got into DCS world flight sim with VR. Its not the same as the real deal but Its extremely fun and satisfying when you finally understand how to operate a machine like the F16 even if its only in simulation. I honestly believe aside from the G force aspect I wouldnt have any problem flying an F16.
Spent my my summers growing up as a child at Myrtle Beach/Grand Strand SC and I always remember seeing all of the military aircraft taking off and landing from Myrtle Beach Airforce Base and sometimes buzzing the beach barely a hundred feet in the air - such a thrill as a kid to see the power and speed of the aircraft so close up - this is great to see the same perspective from the pilot's point of view! God bless our military personnel and the dedication they apply everyday so that we may live in freedom and liberty!
That was just incredible. For those of us not worthy and gifted to be able to fly we thank you for your service ( I served 13 years as an Army Ranger) 👍
Many years ago, our final student Huey mission at Rucker was to pick you guys up in the Florida swamps with a box of goodies for you. I still remember how you guys smelled and how you half starved Rangers tore through that box of goodies.
I have watched F16’s take off several times, and am always amazed by the thrust to weight ratio of this aircraft. It seems they are airborne almost instantly. I had forgotten how small they are compared to other fighters. I remember people at Langley AFB calling them lawn darts.
Every fighter is referred to as a lawn dart. It refers to their inability to fly or even glide for any reasonable distance without insane amounts of thrust behind them.
I spoke out of my ass. The f16 was originally called a lawn dart after a specific engine failure of one of them. From then on, apparently every fighter has taken on the slang of a lawn dart. I know everyone referred to f18s as lawn darts as well as apparently 104s.
I live in Fort Walton and see these Gentlemen flying over Eglin all almost every day and it still amazes me every time I see these fighter jets soar through the skies. Thank you for your service Sir!
Nothing better than getting the natural feeling of being with the pilot! I too am happy there's no stupid music playing over top of this awesome video.
That's what I was thinking also. Turns it to whatever angle and it just sticks there. I would always imagine that it would be floating around a bit or something. But its just like it's on rails.
Point and squirt. The power, the turn radius, the roll rate, the visibility. Incredible. To think this is your dad's fighter jet makes it even more fantastic.
too late to ask may be but does these jets have preset to roll? like from 3:35 he tilted it at very specific positions (hope the question is understandable)
Have a brother in law who flew the F-16 and F-22 he’s now moved his way up to a higher position in the AF no longer flies but damn riding with him in a car would make you sick.. haha

id love a split screen so we could see from the ground as well... i think that would really show how truly amazing and phenomenal these machines and pilots are. hes making it look easy but if you could see exactly what that jet is doing your jaw would be on the ground 😱lol especially if you could feel the Gs and abuse his body is handling... its phenomenal
@@babachloe7140 dogfights dont really happen anymore. Its all about who sees first (with Radar from like 100km away) and shoots their missile first. Guns are kind of a non factor
The pilot is a champ and deserves respect for his master control of that jet. An extraordinary amount of praise should be heaped upon the master mechanics, avionics and ground personnel that make the F-16 hum and respond as it does.
That seemed like a MUCH smoother landing than a lot of commercial flights that I've been on. Thank you so much for posting this!!! It's a beautiful view that few people get to enjoy. 🙂
amazes me how quick and precise the movement in these fighters are. this pilot immediately changes course and plane rotation with almost zero correction after the initial rotation or change in the fighters position
@Urn Turn yeah there’s obviously very advanced technology controlling it, i never insinuated that the pilot has laser precise arm muscles. i was talking about how a pilot is able to reposition/rotate the fighter so precisely and immediate. of course there’s a whole bunch of technology and autonomy behind that but it’s still an amazing feat regardless

There's one similar to this but it's right on the coast of Chicago during an air show and you can see all the boats lined up in the lake. Try to find it! It's great.
He just took off, I though "what is happening here" then 3 seconds later I shouted loudly "WTF???" What an incredible maschine, what an incredible pilot! Knowing that even if I'd have a chance to experience that, I couldn't, because what this guy does in his coffee break, would be a struggle for my life... on the rare parts when I'd be even conscious.
That max performance climb at the ten minutes mark is just absolutely insane.... He was so close to the ground on the final knife edge pass and in 4 seconds he probably looked like a small bird from the ground. Amazing stuff.
The speed and maneuverability is insane, I've only ever been on a normal passenger plane and a helicopter before. Crazy cool! I also enjoy the fact that there isn't any distracting music.
Keep in mind that this is in a controlled environment and there are restrictions, example they are limited to under 600 mph. These warbirds are capable of much more in the combat environment.
If you guys want to know the names of the “tricks” he did, just tap the screen as he performs them and it’ll say it at the bottom of the screen on the left hand side
I think it's insane that it only took roughly 8 seconds for him to take off once he started rolling. It seems as if he was airborne in like 100 to 150 yards. 🤯
I worked on '16s, and seeing videos of other aircraft like the F-18 you appreciate how clean the view is for piolet. Only the hub "obstructs" the vision.
I at least made it into the air show to see this demo. Those high speed passes were indescribable. Probably the best routine of the show. Thanks to the inept show organizers, I spent the first 2/3's of the show standing in a remote parking lot. I was one of the lucky ones...a lot of folks never made it to the gate.

@@levi2732 guy lol… they go through hours and hours of training learning how to “get use to” G forces to a manageable lvl. Im sure the oxygen helps but G forces are something they learn how to tackle
I felt like throwing up just watching it, dizziyingly stunning. It's amazing how these pilots keep fit without fainting, as a sailor it was so hard handling those waves, can't imagine ups and downs on this scale
Absolutely beautiful. Thank you so much for this video! I worked at Link Flight Simulation from 1983-1986 on the F16 simulator. Got to fly it a bunch, but never the real thing. We only had the night visual system at the time, so getting to see what it looks like out the cockpit during the day is a real treat. It took two years before I was ever able to successfully land the simulation. But had lots of fun with it at high altitude! 🙂 Again, thank you so much. Great memories. And I, to, am so happy you put it up with the ambient sound, rather than a soundtrack or voiceover. Just stunning.😂
It's not the fanciest maneuver, but I always love how the 4-point roll shows how ungodly stable the aircraft is. There is _zero_ wobble even after a sudden snap movement like that.
That’s one of the best landings I’ve ever seen too. You couldn’t even tell when the wheels touched the ground I didn’t even see the slightest bump reaction
Truly an amazing viewpoint and a real perspective of just how good our Flyboys are! They're skill sets to fly with that level of precision, requires absolute dedication to their training to achieve the highest level of perfection! Over the top impressive!
