Firehouse Subs (Firehouse of America, LLC) is a U.S.-based, fast casual restaurant chain founded in 1994 in Jacksonville, Florida by former firefighter brothers Robin and Chris Sorensen.
To date, Firehouse Subs has opened more than 1,095 franchise restaurants across 44 states, Puerto Rico, Canada, and Mexico.
In 2005, Chris and Robin Sorensen created the Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation providing funding, life-saving equipment and educational opportunities to first-responders and public safety organizations. Since its inception, Firehouse Subs and its customers have donated more than $29.5 million in 46 states, Puerto Rico and in Canada through Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation of Canada.
History
Brothers Chris and Robin Sorensen followed the same career path as their father, Captain Rob Sorensen, a 43-year veteran of the Jacksonville Fire & Rescue Department in Jacksonville, Florida.[3] After a few attempts at various business ventures they opened a restaurant, Firehouse Subs.
On October 10, 1994 the first Firehouse Subs restaurant opened in Jacksonville, Florida. The restaurant was successful and by 2001, the company became debt free.

Since commencement more than 22 years ago, Firehouse Subs has opened more than 1,050 restaurants across 44 states and internationally in Puerto Rico, Canada and Mexico. Current plans for expansion in 2017 are focused in the Northeast and West Coast U.S., along with continued international expansion into Canada and Mexico.

This seriously made me hungry. The sub looks like a sub I always get from a small mom and pop sub shop here in dearborn Michigan. But it’s a chicken sub. Been getting it since 2004.
Speaking as an employee at a Firehouse Subs, the TBR (Turkey bacon ranch) is one of the most popular subs at our location. You guys also gotta try the italian with some pepperoccini

I went and got one right after I saw this video. I've seen Firehouse Subs here and there around Sacramento (CA) but never stopped at one. I'll definitely be going back!

One of the best things I found when I moved to Jacksonville Florida in 2004. My favorite is the New York Steamer. However I have had every sandwich on the menu and there isn’t a clunker on the list.

I normally get the Hook and Ladder, fully involved no sauce. It's $8-$9 for the drink and chips. I love Firehouse!!

I work at Firehouse Subs in Brampton and on the first day of training we got to try one of the subs. This was the first sub I ever had from Firehouse Subs and from the moment I tried it I knew this place was different 🥖🦃🥓👌🏽😌

I love firehouse sub. I always go here in Florida and recommend when you go back to try adding one of their many hot sauce to your sub for a flavor kick that's out of this world
Went to a firehouse last week. Omg!!!! so glad they are in Canada now. Wow is all that I can say. The brisket Cheddar is heavenly.

Firehouse is a great place. You can't go wrong with any of there subs. My fav is the bbq cheddar brisket. Also the house made pickle spears are to die for.

Yaaaassss!!! That's my boy! Definitely my sub of choice at my local Firehouse subs, though I'm a no tomato kinda guy. But you gotta have some of the hot sauces there! I recommend either Bee Sting Honey Habanero, or Cheech Mango.

At Firehouse the line is divided into three sections ATC, set up, and steamer. At ATC meats are distributed and fluffed up and then covered in cheese and placed in a steamer to be steamed. Then the bread is cut, and is put through a toaster. After being toasted condiments are added to the sub such as mayo lettuce tomato onion and a thin line of deli mustard. The meat is then pulled out the steamer and placed on top of the bread.

I went to a Firehouse sub in Florida and I was impressed. 100 times better than Subway. They even give you more meat.

FIREHOUSE SUBS rocks. I have never had that, but I will order it next. Try the Italian next time; fantastic. The New York Steamer is great too, but it's got no veggies.

That's exactly what I do with a Firehouse Sub... Large Hook & Ladder... first half for lunch and then take the other half to work so I don't have to cook and I can enjoy it all over again! Heather xo

I had Firehouse Subs once and thought it was not that great and way too much money for the amount of food we got. Your's on the other hand make me want to go back... that looked perfect. My favorite chain sub shop is Jersey Mikes. Have you had that? DELISH!!!!

Had Firehouse subs here in Minnesota, they look nothing like THAT one looks great!
Went to my first firehouse subs today. The place was empty, great for first timers as I did not know what to order. Staff was super friendly and helpful. I placed my order with pretty much standard stuff. I was hungry and dove right in and was surprised..did I order it wrong? My sub arrived with no lettuce, no onions, no tomatoes and no dressing...... I brought it to their attention and they where perplexed that they forgot all these toppings, as was I since we were the only people there for 20 minutes. I hope to try again sometime.

I've been to one once. at that one they put the whole sandwich into the steam cooking thing that made the bread super mushy. it was like something you'd give to people at the old folks home who have no teeth. taste was really good though. and the sandwich was ridiculously huge--a large turkey bacon ranch is like 1500 calories 80 grams of fat and 4000mg of sodium.
Highly highly recommend the Italian meatball sub it’s sooo fucking good, u can also get the beefier version that has pepperoni on it!

Next time you're at firehoues try the Italian get extra meat and extra cheese it cost a little bit but it's well worth it so good and tasty the sauce that they use for the Italian subs is out of the world plus their broccoli soup is really good also
