I work at jersey mikes, and our cheesesteaks are cooked raw. Our tuna is made daily and our veggies come from a produce company. subway has their stuff brought in-in sealed bags, even the lettuce.
I can't believe they even compared the 2. It's like comparing outback steakhouse to a Ruth Chris steakhouse.

As a former employee of both Subway and Jersey Mike's, I vote Jersey Mike's. My family and I are so in love with the Rosemary Parmesan bread I have started to make it at home. Plus "the juice" is phenomenal and gives it a great taste
The true moral of this episode is that there needs to be more Jersey Mikes locations around

We got a couple here in the last few years. A little expensive but totally worth it.

Learned today that I can eat at Jersey Mikes because they have gluten free bread and I’m so happy 😭😂
We also fully clean the slicer, get new knives and a separate area to move the gluten free bread so that it doesn't come in contact with anything. Everyone handling the bread also washes hands and gets new gloves.

Jersey Mike’s is just way better quality. And they have awesome brownies, often overlooked. Nuke them for 40 seconds-great! The only advantage to Subway is their greater variety, such as it is.
I will say, though, that I’m not fond of the cheesesteaks at Jersey Mike’s. First, I prefer my cheesesteak ingredients not quite so blended together. I like to taste each ingredient more separately. And they mix in way to much onion. It starts to repulse me after a few minutes. I prefer the cheesesteaks at Charley’s, where the ingredients are only lightly blended or even just tossed together.
*A suggestion for Jersey Mike’s:* Try offering some fresh French fries as a side.

Jersey Mike's is my go-to roadtrip meal... It's SO satisfying and filling... and not sloppy and fried like a lot of fast food.
That's funny cause the only time i ever have Subway is on roadtrips! It's the only decent place in most small towns in the midwest; there will consistentl be Pizza Hut or Subway and Pizza Hut is too greasy. Local diners are good but not if you are looking for a quick meal. Jersey Mikes is few and far between where I live, but when I do go there it is soooo gooood
As a former Jersey Mike’s crew member I can say I will only eat Jersey Mike’s sandwiches. Everything is fresh and very tasty.

jersey mike's having gluten free bread is such a big deal. it's literally one of the only fast-food chains I can eat from. Like, they even have an allergy protocol. Most restaurants don't even have that
I never went because I didn't know they had gf bread. This is such a game changer!
Yeah because in reality a true gluten allergy is instantly lethal even in small amounts and it’s actually quite rare to have it. Anyone who says they’re allergic in most restraunts simply say so for dietary reasons for the most part so restraunts won’t bother, anyone who is truly allergic to gluten will usually avoid major restaurants anyways because it’s not worth the risk.

As someone who's eaten both, my first thought seeing the title was how many points ahead will Jersey Mike's be ahead? After watching I'm surprised at how it wasn't closer to double the points
Subways can vary in quality. I can't even eat at my local ones anymore because their bread is gummy and gross.

The problem with Subway is that their bread to ingredient ratio is so unbalanced. You are mostly eating bread.
DISAGREE i put on everything on the sandwich tho from sauces to veggies so it makes it juicy idk

I live in the country so I usually have subway with the steak and cheese being my favorite and we got a Jersey Mikes put in around 20 minutes and I was absolutely blown away at how much better the cheesestake was and just their sandwhiches in general!

As someone who used to think they had a problem with gluten, I've eaten a lot of JM's gluten free bread and I really like the flavor and texture, it's just like a thicker bread that almost has more flavor (though a little dryer).
Jersey Mike's blew my mind the 1st time I had it and I had it almost every week for a year after I discovered how good it was. So much better than JJ and Subway

What do you guys do with the leftover food? that is all I can think about after watching every episode lol, maybe you've answered this before but I missed it
Comparing subway to jersey mikes is like comparing Little Ceasers to Papa Johns or Dominos. Like, yes LC and PJ are both chain pizza places, but there's a clear difference in where their food quality lies on the spectrum. In that case though, it's because LC is significantly cheaper than the others usually. Not so with subway. So I only go to subway when I'm SPECIFICALLY craving a subway sandwich, and not just a sandwich.
As a jersey resident, I’m CONFIDENT in jersey mikes ability to obliterate subway
I went to a subway in Pennsylvania and it was actually pretty good. Maybe that was just a good subway though.

before i even start the episode, i am confident jersey mikes will win. i used to be a subway fan, but i have since converted to a Jersey Mike's stan. the all-around experience is just much nicer, and i think they have better quality bread. also, their cherry pepper relish isn't anywhere else.
That pepper relish completely changed the construct of the sandwich.

i worked at jersey mikes for over a year, and now work at subway (for about ~4 months) and i can say the management, food quality, store cleanliness, overall attitude and the way the store is run is just so much better at jersey mikes. not comparable in the slightest.
Been with jersey mikes almost 10 years. Everything is prepped and cooked fresh Dailey. You guys should’ve tried the cookies !
100% team jersey mikes me and my boyfriend go there so often then know our order and even once asked “ hey you guys are here all the time might as well sign up for rewards “ it was funny and a tad but embarrassing bc it hit me how much we go 😂
