The stock cooler performed poorly, so I decided to document the change over. Thanks for watching!

It's professionals like yourself that continue to show us what these older PC's are still capable of doing, even in 2024. Very impressive !!

The title means using the hardware in 2024 Being that the hardware is a few generations old the idea is to see how well it sill performs.

If you can't afford to upgrade from 9th gen to second hand 12th gen instead of gaming I think it is better to go find a job... There is 0 point to use 9th gen atm since for 150$ you can have 12th gen setup which is all you need for the next 5 years at least.

I get what you are saying, but it's a little misguided and privileged. There are a myriad of reasons why a build like this might work for someone. I have no idea where you live, but the cost of hardware really fluctuates worldwide.

Where I live the cost of 9th gen is similar to the cost of 12th gen. 9th gen i5s goes for around 100$-140$ and i7 goes for over 150$, mobos are around 50$ everything is second hand. 12th gen with i3 second hand for 50$ and mobo for 60$-70$ is cheaper than 9th gen i5 and is better performance than 9th gen i5. 12400f brand new is 130$ atm and it is better than i7 9th gen which is more expensive second hand. I agree that there is point in 9th gen, but only if the prices were 10$ CPU and 10 $ mobo.

@@cubekong6272 On The Last of Us Pt 1, the CPU was definitely working for it. But other games I tested, it was balanced enough to be negligible for a budget PC. Having the 9th gen i7 would be favorable, but they are quite expensive.
