  • We are excited to announce and showcase our new Trailmater Trail Rope. This is our behind the scenes and reason for making this new kenetic style rope. We are happy to be working with ‪@YankumRopes‬ to make this a reality. We understand this is a different thing for us as far as selling and promoting something, but we are really happy to be doing this. We promise to return to recoveries right away, but humor us for a few minutes please. These will be available on Yankums website first. As we go we will start stocking them on our website along with other recovery gear. Thank you all so much for watching and supporting us.

    We are super stoked to work with Rory and the team! Rory knew exactly what he wanted, and we were excited to make it happen! I think I can speak for everyone, we are excited to see what he does with this thing! I did want to answer a question I keep seeing in the comments. "If you double up a 20' or even triple a 30" rope, then you are within 10' of the dead rig". This is true, however, the doubled up rope is basically now two separate ropes and the recovery vehicle now no longer has the mass to stretch 'both' ropes. You will lose the benefit of the full stretch, making the recovery more violent, like using a strap or chain. If you want a cushy recovery and drastically reduce the chance of breaking recovery points, the 10' is going to be perfect.

      Ok.. the "superloop" 🤔
      What about and bendable rod put in the middle of two big sofy shackles for rory to use as his crosses on the back of the wrecker.. 1 it will do what the others do by allowing to pull on the vehicles but 2 will act as a bumper to keep vehicles off yhe wrecker.. kinda of like dockin rods for boats🤔
      Maybe 2 whip antenna things off the back of mater.. just an idea for ya fellers

    My uncle pioneer the use of kinetic rope for the water ski industry back in probably the 80’s I think it was. Unfortunately just as the business was taking off he passed away. Back then he had to design and manufacture and design tooling, because the tooling to manufacture, kinetic ropes didn’t exist the winding machines, the fiber separators, all that all had to be designed and manufactured by him. I remember one time getting a look at one of his machines that he had just finished and he was showing us how he was whining rope. At that point in time he just had a hand crank on it.

    Talk about two good things that go great together. Trail Mater And Yankum Ropes. Fortunately I really don't have a need for this rope or any length anymore. I can say I never really liked using chain for pulling anything when I was younger. Because when they break someone may get hurt or even dead at worst. At the least something is getting damaged .Counting the pennies when it comes to safety equipment makes no sense at all. Thank you Allen for helping Rory turn his idea into reality. To me this is what life in the USA should be all about.

It has been amazing through the last couple of years to see how you and your team have opened up significantly to the cameras and the world essentially letting us, the viewer, have that much more of an insight into the world of off-road trail recovery and what it is that you do on a daily basis. This has truly become one of my favorite channels on the entire tube of you's. I'm ecstatic for you all and can't wait to purchase my own set of ropes and soft shackles.

  • @joeskinwalker7628
    @joeskinwalker7628 9 месяцев назад +7

    Yes I love it that you got a rope that works for specific situations especially when towing around sharper turns and the shortness keeps it off the ground. One thing I also noticed is when you are wrenching and the wench rope rubs against the sandstone it looks like it would weaken the wench rope. If only yankam ropes could make a fabric protective blanket that can be placed between the wench rope and the sandstone or other sharp rocks so it doesn't cut the rope.

    The thing that always gets me about wheeling in the desert areas is that the things we'd stay well away from in new england are things you actually go close to out west. Like, anything that is a rock slide waiting to happen here will last maybe a year, and out there it's 50 years. So every time we see something that is balanced, we're like, "Holy the fuck no, that'll fall the next time someone even looks at it."

    Always incredible scenery. The great news is that there is a short yankum rope for tight spots not only limited to Moab. This would be a great rope for getting a rig out of High Rock Bay, Key Stone Bay or anywhere off the Mandan road (it's not really a road) on the Keweenaw Peninsula of Michigan. Would be interesting to see how the yankum fiber behaves in minus degree weather with heavy snow.

    Glad to see this is happening...two "best in the business" entities collaborating on a product that isn't currently on the market. 👍

    With that 10-ft rope it's just the right length based on your height for you and Lilly to jump rope together 😁 Trust me it's a granddaddy thing have 5 of them😉
    Been using and splicing original manufacturer of Samson double braided rope since 1970's. Used by Coast Guard as tow ropes (my branch of Service) and morring lines on U.S. Goverment (as a deep sea merchant sailor I have literally dragged 10 inch diameter 600 foot 12 foot eyes each end across the decks of ships with the help of 10 other people 30 lbs per foot I'm told) ships. I have the fids for splicing 1/4" thru 1" double braid. Expanding you line of marketable products; kool. I know you are using those 10 ft ropes from a different manufacture. The time consuming part of making tow ropes is the splicing of the eyes. Large the diameter the longer it takes. My 2¢
