- We are excited to announce and showcase our new Trailmater Trail Rope. This is our behind the scenes and reason for making this new kenetic style rope. We are happy to be working with @YankumRopes to make this a reality. We understand this is a different thing for us as far as selling and promoting something, but we are really happy to be doing this. We promise to return to recoveries right away, but humor us for a few minutes please. These will be available on Yankums website first. As we go we will start stocking them on our website along with other recovery gear. Thank you all so much for watching and supporting us.

We are super stoked to work with Rory and the team! Rory knew exactly what he wanted, and we were excited to make it happen! I think I can speak for everyone, we are excited to see what he does with this thing! I did want to answer a question I keep seeing in the comments. "If you double up a 20' or even triple a 30" rope, then you are within 10' of the dead rig". This is true, however, the doubled up rope is basically now two separate ropes and the recovery vehicle now no longer has the mass to stretch 'both' ropes. You will lose the benefit of the full stretch, making the recovery more violent, like using a strap or chain. If you want a cushy recovery and drastically reduce the chance of breaking recovery points, the 10' is going to be perfect.
@YankumRopes, I could not find the spec on your site. What is the WLL and % elongation of the Trail Mater recovery rope?
Excellent stuff...Kudos to all, and the color turned out great... Edit : that machinery is mind blowing, crazy angles on all of that.
Hey love your stuff! You might know it, but if your material is sourced in America you can also brag its Berry Act compliant which is a huge selling point imo
why dont you make ropes with integrated soft shackles on both ends?
Ok.. the "superloop" 🤔
What about and bendable rod put in the middle of two big sofy shackles for rory to use as his crosses on the back of the wrecker.. 1 it will do what the others do by allowing to pull on the vehicles but 2 will act as a bumper to keep vehicles off yhe wrecker.. kinda of like dockin rods for boats🤔
Maybe 2 whip antenna things off the back of mater.. just an idea for ya fellers
Rory's made it to the big league, got his own Yankum rope! Good for you guy's!
Take that, Matt
Very cool Allen from Yankum ropes listens to those who are actually using their products in the field. Well done Allen and Rory!
Dude is a great businessman and marketer. S Tier branding
That Listens and adapts to the needs of clients....Top class all around...
I mean, it's free advertising. They already make a green rope and they make it in spools and tie it to whatever length so, it's next to free and makes money.
Sold … I’m getting one or two
So the green ropes are for Moab, the yellow ropes for the sand dunes, and orange ropes for Quagga mussels?
😂
Hahahaha !! 😂
Only people who watch Fab Rats, Matt's Off Road Recovery and Rory's Trailmater channels would get that. But I did and I laughed coffee out my nose! 😅😅
🤣😂🤣
😂😂😂
You forgot the red ones for Casey Ladelle in Oregon.
Allen's company is so supportive of the off road culture and its totally amazing and taking care of Rory is fantastic.
Trail Mater + Yankum = Extreme Awesomeness!!!!!
That's a great combo right there.
9:52 "Don't want it to be splotchy like my buggy" ~ Rory Irish, Quality Control Guru 😂
You know you're doing something right when you get a mfr to build signature equipment to your personal specs!!
Good job team!
Love the channel!
from my other comment regarding Alan : That Listens and adapts to the needs of clients....Top class all around...
Outstanding Rory. Glad you were able to make this happen for you and your channel. Yankum is a awesome product. It shows just how awesome they are as they listen to their customers.
Yeah, I'm super happy now. Allan sent me a note with my green rope. Apologizing for the blotchiness. But now I know I have a very unique green rope.
I'm Rory Irish and you're not🤣. Super cool congrats!!! The way you wrapped your rope on Buggy's cage, to help rescue Georges' $$ Jeep from the river was amazing. That length is perfect. Love you guys team trailmater 💚❣️
In Western Oregon,we got tight, twisty trails, branches, downed trees and logs, deep mud bog two -tracks, giant roots......
In other words...short tow rope.👍
Congrats on the rope Trailmater crew, and big shoutouts to Allen for making it through an entire RUclips video without rolling a single Landcruiser.
Really glad to see you working with the folks at Yankum and I am sure they are happy to have your input on what folks in the business/recreation need.
Those are sweet, sleeved basically the whole rope and made right here. Exciting to see one of the best offroad recovery teams working with the best equipment manufacturers.
My uncle pioneer the use of kinetic rope for the water ski industry back in probably the 80’s I think it was. Unfortunately just as the business was taking off he passed away. Back then he had to design and manufacture and design tooling, because the tooling to manufacture, kinetic ropes didn’t exist the winding machines, the fiber separators, all that all had to be designed and manufactured by him. I remember one time getting a look at one of his machines that he had just finished and he was showing us how he was whining rope. At that point in time he just had a hand crank on it.
cue the music of the Pointer Sisters song: "I'm so excited, and I just can't hide it".
When music was sooo good!
Sorry all you Swifties!
10 ft. Great for a Bridle.
Plus the Long One. And the Soft Shackles….
PRICELESS
This collaboration just makes sense!! Way to go TRAIL MATER and YANKUM!! The green is so cool!! Yankum made in the USA - Way to go IDAHO.
"IDAHO" and I'm the pimp so get back to work!
This is so cool!
Alan from Yankum ropes really knows how to be specific and market while choosing the off-road recovery people that matter. Not to mention working with guys like Rory to get the custom recovery rope that he needs for his specialty area. Alan is so innovative and generous, that I'm going to have to stop teasing him for rolling multiple vehicles. 😂
So glad to see success in America by Americans.
Congratulations Team TrailMater 👏
Yankum is an outstanding company, great call working with Rory and crew.
A definite no brainer to have on the trail.
Now an exclusive TrailMater tool.
Great to actually see a proven product made in the USA ! Congrats to Rory and a huge Thank you to Alan for making this happen.
Nothing like a company (Yankum Ropes) listening to experts in the field to do the research and development providing just what is necessary ... awesome product... awesome video... Thanks for sharing 🙂
Xcellent idea. Thanks Rory and Alan for continuing to make our sport better. Yeah potato heads, from Eagle Idaho.
This is awesome. Well done, Allen.
Truly Made In America! Well worth the cost.
I am so happy for you Rory, Mike and Shawn... You constantly move forward and set the standard for everyone else... YOU ROCK....
Happy for you. Very cool length. Best color rope I've seen. Really stands out. It screams Trail Mater. Thanks, Rory & crew.
That was awesome thanks for letting me watch 👍.
Trail Mater and Yankum! What an awesome duo! Congrats!😎
I left a comment not long ago that the people who make those ropes-n-straps were crazy for not giving you all the ropes-n-straps you'd ever need, and send you product stickers of all shapes-n-sizes too put on your rigs, and give away too customers-n-friends, Rory does way more/better recoveries than the yellow guys do, lol, thanks for sharing.
Good for you Rory! Nice to work with a company that listens to your needs and makes better products.
Talk about two good things that go great together. Trail Mater And Yankum Ropes. Fortunately I really don't have a need for this rope or any length anymore. I can say I never really liked using chain for pulling anything when I was younger. Because when they break someone may get hurt or even dead at worst. At the least something is getting damaged .Counting the pennies when it comes to safety equipment makes no sense at all. Thank you Allen for helping Rory turn his idea into reality. To me this is what life in the USA should be all about.
Congrats Rory and Team Trail Mater. Y'all are definitely coming up and doing big things in the off-road world. It has been amazing through the last couple of years to see how you and your team have opened up significantly to the cameras and the world essentially letting us, the viewer, have that much more of an insight into the world of off-road trail recovery and what it is that you do on a daily basis. This has truly become one of my favorite channels on the entire tube of you's. I'm ecstatic for you all and can't wait to purchase my own set of ropes and soft shackles.
Yes I love it that you got a rope that works for specific situations especially when towing around sharper turns and the shortness keeps it off the ground. One thing I also noticed is when you are wrenching and the wench rope rubs against the sandstone it looks like it would weaken the wench rope. If only yankam ropes could make a fabric protective blanket that can be placed between the wench rope and the sandstone or other sharp rocks so it doesn't cut the rope.
This will be an absolute game changer in the snow.
This is the best Yankum, yet!
The thing that always gets me about wheeling in the desert areas is that the things we'd stay well away from in new england are things you actually go close to out west. Like, anything that is a rock slide waiting to happen here will last maybe a year, and out there it's 50 years. So every time we see something that is balanced, we're like, "Holy the fuck no, that'll fall the next time someone even looks at it."
Thanks for the upload Yoda (Rory), Mike, and Shawn. Good luck with the new recovery gear. Purpose built and well made in USA.
Outstanding product demo, Rory. That's rare to see these days. You demonstrated both the problem with existing ropes, and the flawless recoveries with the new rope. I don't even own an off-road vehicle and this makes we want to buy your rope!
12:31. "woo!". "what?" - Rory's expression is excellent!!
I don't recall seeing Rory this excited before. And all over a green rope,,,, well of course it has Trail-Mater logo on the Green Rope.
Rory, congrats for making it happen,,, I just might HAVE TO GET ONE😊
I gave up TV and radio in 2007 because of commercials. This is the very first LONG commercial I've ever watched and enjoyed, Rory. Thanks. Oh, one more type of celebration: Breaking up from a bad relationship. Buy the Trail Mater rope to celebrate your freedom!
Very cool.
I can’t take the commercials anymore either, all they do is make people stupider! It’s like they want the population to be stupider!!
Always incredible scenery. The great news is that there is a short yankum rope for tight spots not only limited to Moab. This would be a great rope for getting a rig out of High Rock Bay, Key Stone Bay or anywhere off the Mandan road (it's not really a road) on the Keweenaw Peninsula of Michigan. Would be interesting to see how the yankum fiber behaves in minus degree weather with heavy snow.
Now u need some bright green crossover ropes for back of the wrecker free of charge due such a great demo @yankum
That’s awesome.
Thank you for showing us the Yankum HQ and how it’s made.
Trail Mater rope for the win. Congrats Rory! Now I just need to try and save up to get one.
This is a great partnership! Way to go Allen for supporting this group of tubers / recovery experts (morr, fabrats, robby, trailmater, bsf). Congrats Trail Mater for becoming a brand sponsor!
Alan not only builds a tool that every off roader, construction company., farmer, and anyone else that might need rescuing needs, but them he markets it by going on you tube. Very smart man.
I had the pleasure of Alan giving me and a buddy a personal tour, he was super gracious and cool! I ended up buying a bunch of his stuff and that awesome bag, it’s all in the back of my LJ Rubicon, ready to help someone. Great gear!!
Pretty awesome addition to the arsenal!
Thanks for sharing 🇨🇦
Keep up the good. Work love watching you on RUclips god bless
MORNIN' RORY!!!!
very cool that you now have a TrailMater 10' rope !!
Thoroughly enjoy seeing you all smile and just having a good time!!!
CONGRATU-FREAKINGLATIONS!!!!!🎉 I'm so incredibly happy to see you're hard work rewarding you! You guys deserve this! As soon as i'm able I'll be buying me 1 to proudly show off and use!
Very Cool!!!! congrats on the new rope you and Yankum is a great matchup!
So cool. Very happy for you guys.
I too am excited, Rory. You are coming up in the world. Great technical approach to recoveries, great scenery, and great explanations on the use of your tools. It is important to me as a viewer. It helps me avoid mistakes. The best to you and your crew.
That is awesome, Rory. Another selling point that I don't think you mentioned is that it is going to take up a lot less space in your rig.
❤ they look hard core right out of the bag 🎉🎉🎉 congratulations 🍾
HEY! Hello Rory, Mike , Shawn and Allen! Congrats Rory , Yankum made an AWESOME rope for you. It makes total sense to have a short one like that. Should have had Allen bring his Toyota , he usually ends up on the side , then you could have shown your new Green rope putting him back on all 4 wheels! Thank you Allen for such a awesome rope!
Outstanding! Hats off to yankum for working with clients and solving issues in the field
Thats a great rope Rory. Its not " sketchy stretchy " , not getting low and dragging on rocks. Your not going down the other side of the obstacle as often while pulling rig up . 👍👍✌
Great vid! Hilarious opening and closing....made me laugh and made it memorable!
Love the channel and love Yankum! I want one of these ropes for sure! 💚🖤💛🖤
I pulled out a Yankum 30' and towed a friend and he was amazed ! It was YELLOW .
Just bought the 10ft rope and the super loop! I have been needing a shorter knetic rope for a long time! Thank you Rory and Yankum ropes!
Great video. Really happy to go see Allen's shop and how they put those together. Great visit in figuring out how to recover vehicles!!
I would love to have one of those ropes. Unfortunately I have been out of work for over 2 years now and I have been trying to get disability because I physically can't work anymore. Those ropes are awesome and I love the green
Congrats Rory you guys have came a long way. Never miss an episode. Thanks to all you guys for keeping us laughing and informed as well.
Congratulations on the rope. Love the green!
Love American made!
The 10 Footy Will stretch Out to 11 1/2 -12 After some Uses That’s a good one plus I Like that Green
Footy----- really. Maybe footer .
Congrats! So cool to see you get your own rope. USA made with care. 🇺🇸
I gotta look into one of those and a 30 footer they'd be very useful
Very Nice Allen and Yankum embracing the off road community. By working with the recovery experts! IE Rory and company
Hell yeah. Been waiting for you to partner so I can have a green one 😁
Congratulations Rory. The top recovery expert working with Alan the top recovery rope manufacturer is THEE match
Awesome rope. This is the size range that will work for me. I've added it to my X-mas list. Kids are always struggling to find something I want or need. Thanks
Congrats on getting your mater rope going Rory! I’m sure there’ll be a bunch of people buying them. They seem to be more of what I or the folks that live around me would need. I could never see us needing a 20-30 foot rope. I guess if we do need 20 foot, we could just string 2 of those 10 footers together. 😂. Great job Rory.
I’m excited too
Way too go Rory! You deserve it & more. I'm proud of you. Keep up the great work. Always looking forward to seeing your videos. 💯📍
"The 12 days of Yankum"
Sounds like a holiday song for sure!
great example of why to use the correct tools for the job!
A manufacturer who listens to their customers will grow in business, whereas the ones who ignore their customers are not long for this world...! What a great short Rope!
Quality products for sure
The short rope concept is so smart in many ways. Rope takes up space and weight. If you know you’re only towing you don’t needs yards of rope that you’re not going to use. And safer as demonstrated
Impressive manufacturing! Great to see how they are made.
Best color Yankum!
Thanks for the discount Rory! I ordered the Rope and Super Loops without the bag (I have a storage solution). Congrats on the partnership!
Thanks from England + very interesting to see Yankum recovery ropes being made (not assembled from rope made elsewhere).
Great video guys, awesome to see good ole MADE IN THE US of A.
Glad to see this is happening...two "best in the business" entities collaborating on a product that isn't currently on the market. 👍
That is AWESOME Rory. LOVE the 10 ft rope.
Very cool. Appreciate Alan for keeping his products 100% USA made
Hell yeah! I’m getting a Trailmater recovery rope 🤘😃🤘
With that 10-ft rope it's just the right length based on your height for you and Lilly to jump rope together 😁 Trust me it's a granddaddy thing have 5 of them😉
Been using and splicing original manufacturer of Samson double braided rope since 1970's. Used by Coast Guard as tow ropes (my branch of Service) and morring lines on U.S. Goverment (as a deep sea merchant sailor I have literally dragged 10 inch diameter 600 foot 12 foot eyes each end across the decks of ships with the help of 10 other people 30 lbs per foot I'm told) ships. I have the fids for splicing 1/4" thru 1" double braid. Expanding you line of marketable products; kool. I know you are using those 10 ft ropes from a different manufacture. The time consuming part of making tow ropes is the splicing of the eyes. Large the diameter the longer it takes. My 2¢
I believe in the Yankum Ropes, I have at one or more that I carry with me at all times, now I get to add the TrailMater Yankum Trail Recovery 10 ft. Rope, Thanks Rory,Mike and Saun, keep up the great work
Finally Rory! That is great!! Just ordered the kit and an extra rope for my son. Well done guys.
