So Matt Got A Call, Perfect For Trailmater

- On the way back from King of the Hammers, stopped in Hurricane to hang out with Matt. Decided to do some wheeling and Matt got a call requiring some welding, happened to have the perfect vehicle for that. Once again Matt and Jayme being as cool as they are did some filming for me.

Rory seems such a genuinely nice guy. And I always enjoy watching how much Matt seems to respect Rory. In a world of negativity these videos are a breath of fresh air, I love watching both of your channels.

Matt seems to genuinely really like Rory a lot and it’s a joy to watch them work together
Trailmater is a beast of a machine, beat up door jams, dents, but probably the most kick ass truck out there. I appreciate Rorys way of keeping everything tidy. He def made that mans day.
When you carry that much stuff, on a rig with so little room, you just have to be super organized. Rory has got that in spades. I love that machine.

Lol I loved the line Matt tells the customer "This is what Rory does, I save rental cars, Rory saves Jeepers". It informed the customer of the respect for and confidence Matt has in Rory's skills.
I’ve seen this Trailmater and Rory character putting around some of the other channels I follow. He’s definitely not a, “Hey look at me!” kinda guy but he’s MOST definitely a very humble and knowledgeable guy! I like this guy and love his truck so new subscriber here!

I think its more the bond of man and his machine than the truck itself. Rory knows his rig and how to keep it on the line of chaos without getting into trouble.

Seeing Trail Mater and the Morvair ripping through the desert was perfection. Also, you know you hit the jackpot when you bust a weld and find those two rigs coming to help you out. Awesome vid.
I've been enjoying watching the crowds gather around in the hot desert sand lately whenever Trail M8ter or the Morrvair are on a rescue / repair mission.
These people are becoming infamous.
Does it get any better? Rory and Matt both show up for your recovery! The guy was more excited about Matt and Rory being there than he was about getting his jeep repaired! Having Mater and the Morvair come over the hill if you needed a recovery would be the ultimate. Jamie did great on the camera too!

As a retired metal fabricator of 40 Years in the trade, I fully approve of Rory's welding hood/face shield. Compact, lightweight and doesn't get in the way.
I would like to know what shedding hood/shield combo that it. Looks perfect for what he does, on trail welding, and mobile welding rigs the same.
@@jonathandavis4964 looks like the one i have Cornwell Tools sells. The blue Ironman on it is a giveaway. He just removed the hood portion of it. Its around $200.oo USD.

I think if you hook him up with a couple of nice edcs or even a solid blade Bushcraft style knife you might get a free ride in Mater and get to be part of the race between him and off-road recovery Matt !!!

Your a hero Rory, I know that sounds like a overstatement, but it's really not, Batman would've just gave the guy a ride home in his Bat-mobile, but once Rory does his thing, the vehicle is fixed, and can go anywhere it needs too, therefor Rory's outcome is better than Batman's, lol, awesome job Rory, thanks for sharing.
Rory is a millwright for off road vehicles.
Knows what to do (solo)... and puts his tools back the way he want's them.
I enjoy seeing other guys who work alone. There is something gained by that sort of independence. On the flip-side, sometimes it's an incresible luxury to have another set of hands.

It astounds me just how badass that truck is. It really surprised me in the video of you, Matt and Robby all doing that triple recovery in the snow with the skid steer. Your truck went through all of that like a tank.

What gets me is how Rory seems to treat broken suspension about the same as airing up a tire as far as fussing or showing any frustration while working. Matt got so lucky to have you with him! And the client too, for that matter. I think it should be mandatory that every save that Rory does must play Aerosmith's "Back in the Saddle Again" as they drive off.
Rory you and your wrecker are awesome. You fix them on the trails and they drive themselves out.

My dad had a saying: The lesson hardest learned is the lesson longest remembered. Rory is a great guy, I was heartsick when Trailmater flipped.
