God is good! What an incredible story, John. Picking the kiddos up from school and having them help made this video even better. Making all the dads look good out there! I’ve seen the nearly final product of this truck and believe me it is an absolute beauty. 💯
Nice to hear another Christian who enjoy vehicles of all types. Trucks, campers, RV, classic cars...so much to enjoy. Be Blessed! Joe from Smyrna Delaware
Hey Joe, thanks for the encouraging comment! We sure appreciate it. Amen!! All things, to the Glory of God! Amazing the opportunities we've been given to share The Gospel and pray with folks that God has brought into our lives through old trucks. He works through those interests to accomplish a purpose. God Bless, brother!
“We’re probably not gonna make it… To hockey!” I absolutely love how you included the kids in the video and they’re asking “What does this do. “What’s the gas gauge?” “What’s an air cleaner?” That’s absolute gold!!!
When I was 36 years old I had a heart attack and died 💔 they bring be back in the ER but what i saw changed me forever and I'm now 63 years old ,I ask God to let me live long enough to raise my 2 sons that were babies at that time ...God's hand's held me and he granted my wish and sent me back to my family 👪 . God of Abraham is and always will be my King .I'm glad God blessed you brother and I saw his sprit in your eyes .
Wow! Thank you brother, for sharing your story of God's Grace & Mercy in your life, incredible and encouraging! Love to be able to share the most important thing, we all need.. Jesus Christ! Appreciate your comment, and support so much. It made my morning on the way to Church, Blessings!
@@squarestatetrucks welcome and thank you for sharing your story and life 🙏 I'm in the Philippines right now with my Philipina and I love old campers , I sold my 2005 24 foot camper and My 2020 Ram 1500 last February to come back to the Philippines , I will buy another Camper in 2026 when I get back in the states ...I live the RV life full time in America but I have a house in the Philippines , no taxes lol . My girlfriend has a store here that I built her 7 users ago . God has blessed me to live 63 years and with a good retirement . It's worth 4 times the amount converted to Philippine pesos . 1k usd is 58k pesos . My Honda bike cost 5k there and 2400 here
Praise God! He is Good! It's a privilege to be able to share His mercy and Grace. The world needs more Jesus, that's for sure! Thanks for the comment, God Bless!
Just found your channel and subscribed. Very nice project. I noticed you are a Christian. Great. I’ll support you with pleasure. God Bless. I’ll pray for you.
Thank You so much for comment and support! Blessed to be able to do this and share His Goodness. Yeah, last check up showed a nearly fully regenerated kidney... I can't begin to Thank Jesus enough!
It looks a little different now.. this was over a year ago. Check us out on Facepage & Instagram for updates @squarestatetrucks Thanks for your support!
You're right! 😁 It's got new tires now, which helped, but those old springs are a little tired for sure. There are some updated pics and videos on our Facebook page. This footage was actually in January of 2023... Thanks for the comment 👍🏼
That is the first Quadra jet that I see on a Chevrolet that has the fuel line coming straight through the front . Buicks . Oldsmobiles and Pontiacs have them like that . Chevrolet normally has the fuel line going in from the side.
Good observation! The fuel line entered straight into the front of the carburetor on GM Truck 454s from 1976-1978. Small blocks didn't change during this period. I actually had to look back at pictures of all the original engines we've had, and everything original I could find in GM literature and in the interweb. All of our 76-78 Big Block trucks are this way. Thanks for the comment! It was fun looking into that!
Thanks for the comment! Not a lot of ponies under the hood on these old choked down 454s, but they get the job done. A little machine work can wake them up! By the way, The kids always wear their seat belts on the highway. We make sure of that!
Love an old square body crew cab! My father in law has one I’d like to take off his hands someday. Also, I’m gonna guess you shop at the same Costco I do, in Billings.
Hey neighbor! Thanks for watching the video and the comment! Oh man, we're a regular at the Billings Costco.. normally, have something on the trailer back there towards Meadowlark Brewing! Hope you can get thay Crew from your in-laws someday. They are fun trucks!
The Dreamer camper is supposed to be worth 13K by itself according to JD Power. Conditions depending and some new tires it's all probably worth 40K. That's still half the price of a Sprinter Van camper. If you paid less than 30K you can't loose money on it fixing it up I believe.
@@squarestatetrucks Well you can fully fix the roof and essential structures for under whatever you paid for it minus repairs and total out below 13K do you think?
Cool truck then I can tell it was a 77 just by looking at the side of it it's the only year square body that has the yellow paint in the chrome trim instead of black ?
Thanks for the comment! Sure appreciate it. You're correct about 1977 and the Ochre trim! One of my Favorite years. There is also one Special Edition truck that had molding that was also not black.. The 1975 GMC Gentleman Jim came with Yuba Gold molding from the factory. Thats the only variation otherwise
I'm not monetized.. yet. But, you're absolutely right. We've made an effort to cut the music out since. So I hope this one doesn't come back to bite me. I didn't even think about that when we made this one. Appreciate your input and support! Thank You!
@@squarestatetrucks FWIW, I enjoyed the opening. Haven't heard that in a long time. And as to those plastic junk gas cans I say pitch 'em and buy a couple Wavians. With a flexible nozzle. No, they ain't cheap-but they're worth every penny. Coat the bottoms with some bedliner and your kids will inherit them. Great kids, great rig and may you all make some lifetime memories in it together!

She could use some helper bags on the rear axle

Nice find!! I would put a new fuel pump on it, probably where gas got into oil
Thanks for the comment, we replaced the fuel pump a couple days later. It was toast
You gained a new subscriber
Thank You! Appreciate it.. glad to have you. 😁
Those square bodys are prone to crack frames especially the k10s
GM definitely had some issues with that, especially around the steering gear box.
Go pokes!!
W-Y-O ... W-Y-O... W-Y-O... Cowboys, Cowboys, Cowboys 🤠
Thanks for the comment and support!
Would you sell it?? What price??
We're sure considering it.. probably a date with Bring a Trailer in the future after we finish up a few things. Thanks for the comment!
