Dennis? My dad moved to Ontario Canada in '65 and he was a Mopar man but his good buddy Dave was a Ford man. So they went to Oakville's Ford headquarters which is very close to town called Mississauga here. They took some pictures of that white Shelby. I'll contact Dave to see if he still has them. He's now 75 years of age. Fingers crossed.
Agreed. He will give his opinion on what a vehicle could or could not be based on his years of experience, but will not label it as 100% unless it has lots of documentation to back it up with certainty. Stand up guy all around.

Yep that's Jim's "Blue Lady". There's a bunch of pics of it still on the internet and Jim did a short film with it in it. A lady in Phoenix says she has it and sold the registration card to it on eBay a few years ago. Good luck Dennis on finding it.
Hmm I love Dennis's videos but I'm curious why he doesn't mention WHY he is looking for that car, LOL. The Morrison car would be worth ten times what a regular GT500 is worth. 50K is nothing when you stand to make a few mill. Hopefully the person who rightfully owns that car (if it still exists) gets paid properly for it - by Dennis or anyone else.
Yip I'm thinking money, Of course It will take a lot of money and personal connections to find and buy this one, Dennis apparently has both. I'm just glad someone with the realistic ability to find it is on the hunt. I would assume whoever knows the details about the blue lady may fear speaking up for the legal reprimand that possibly could come from having information of a stolen car. It’s shame because we all want to know and I’m sure there is a legal way to get the title after all these years. I would like to know the real story of who picked it up after it was crashed that night and what they did with it but nobody will want to give those details. Did it go live a life south of the border? It would be so cool to know.

Born in the Ford parts business, Ford parts man through the seventies into the 80’s, I went by Mustang Mike. Owned early 65 (erks me when people have to call it a 64 1/2) a 66 fastback, 67 coupe, auto crossed a 70 Boss, and an 87 LX. Shelby and Shinoda Boss stuff was in my blood for a long time… Still have a bunch of new parts…
What an absolutely superb and enlightening video this is - I was hooked from start to finish. When car guys get together and chew the fat all manner of nuggets reveal themselves and this is no exception. Over here in Blighty (England!) Mustangs are very popular of course, but are rarely actually seen on the roads and to me they are still just as exotic as any of the sought after European cars you can think of. A Genuine Shelby is way out of my budget (as is a 'standard' 67 or '68 Fastback) but it's a real joy to see them here on your channel Dennis. Keep on finding them and keep on filming them!
Awesome episode. I was just watching a video of a guy that didn't know anything about cars but was working at a place with some amazing muscle cars, mostly Mopar but one of the cars he skipped right over was absolutely a 1965-66 Shelby that was partially disassembled but every car was covered in years of dust, one of the cars was a 429 Boss and some rare Mopars but considering the condition of the Shelby and the amount of dust on all of the cars maybe he will sell but the name of the guys Channel is his name Raul Burgos. I never thumbed up my own comment but I'm doing it now so maybe Dennis will see it.
I'm from Australia & I find the history of the Shelby's fascinating. I hope one day we have such a strong interest in Australian built car's as per the US car's. Thank you Dennis.
Jim Morrison's '67 Shelby GT500 VIN 67402F2U00939. the blue lady ,,,it just has to be somewhere ,it was listed in a news paper for sale 2 years after Jim's death .
Good call on the supercharged call out badge and I think he is correct. It looks like the same callout that was on other Studebaker models. There were two Boss 429 owned by one guy a mile away from where I grew up. One was white and his wife had a yellow one. Every Saturday they would be out washing them.I was 17 in 69 and while being a Mopar lover I loved the Boss 429.
I like Dennis. I can tell the man really appreciates cars ya know. Would be nice to have been able to drive and enjoy so many. Hope to see a Ferrari barn find video one day. If there hasn't been already.
What an excellent video I watched every minute of it. The knowledge and details that came out blew me away! I just finished talking to a friend here in the Soo that has 3 67 Shelby’s including a Snake and told him he had to watch this segment! I played a few minutes of the show for him and he was hooked. Now I just have to get the details on the 3 67 Shelby’s that he has!
Best show to date.man I love learning about mustangs. I don't know how you are going to do a better show than this one. But can't wait tell next week. THANKS!!!!!!!
Dennis this last Tuesday I was in Bowling Green Kentucky at the Corvette Museum when a group of Shelby GT 350s came rolling in. Not sure how many there were but there was a lot of them that came from French lick Indiana. I was at the museum for training so seeing the Mustang‘s role in was the best part of my visit, being a Mustang guy. Love the video so informative.
Great video and content Dennis,I love seeing so many people with the same passion swapping knowledge and going over some true gems.i truly enjoyed this video.
@ssMR_DENNIS_COLLINS-bu1yu every Friday you upload videos that make me feel special. My prime were those years where hotrods, girls and music ruled. Your videos transport me back there, especially when I see a 65-67 Fairlaine. I wish I had my maroon 66 390 4spd all over again. I loaned mine to an uncle and never saw it again. I am still miffed over that. Anyways, keep up the rescues guys. Noble work for sure!
The front bucket seats are from a 1969 Mustang Grande Couple Deluxe. I have been hunting for the info and searching for any other possible vehicles it may have been available in. I am blown away by the amount of knowledge combined between the 5 gentlemen in this video. I have watched it 4 times so far soaking every bit of priceless information on Shelby Mustangs humanly possible.
Between: 2 objects Among: 2 or more objects I heard Chris Christie make the same grammatical error in the last GOP debate when he said "between the 4 of us". I know I will get in trouble for this correction... English in America tends to be spoken with loose tolerances. Those of us who had the fortune (or misfortune) to be taught the language by Englishmen from England still have knots on our heads from being beaten there with 1 meter rulers each time the teacher thought we made a grammatical error. Forty-five years later, I have vivid memories of the brown-toothed, mustachioed "Mr. H", bellowing- "Rubbish! American English!", as he brought down the full force of a ruler on the head of some poor soul, who had written something in his English composition, that he deemed incorrect. Most of those African students learned that "American English" from the popular novels of the time, such as "No orchids for Mrs. Blandish". The author of those novels was James Hadley Chase, an Englishman who had never been to America a day in his life, who would go to the library, research the geography of a town in America, and write a crime thriller based in and on it, in what he thought was American English!!!!! Hahahahahahahahahahaaaaaaa.. Either way, I apologise for my impudence, and if you should choose to take umbrage and chastise me, I humbly accept my punishment...
What a great episode. I have never been a Ford/Mustang guy but, this was so informative and awesome! Like watching car archeologists! Such great passion is admirable.
My Grandfather worked at the Pilot Plant in the 60s, I might have a picture of that 67 sitting in his driveway. Dad said grandpa was always bringing cars home from work. Shelbys, Bosses, Panteras, you name it, he got to bring it home.
I believe the yellow 70 car probably was serviced at Bill Colin's Ford in Louisville ky? That's where my Dad worked at doing general servicing before just retiring for good in the late 90's! Pretty cool!
This was without a doubt one of my favorite episodes. I would have gladly watched however long it took to go through every car there. Thanks for taking us along.
This brought back some good memories. I know it was just by chance that you just happened to go their for this episode, but thank you. I was on a crew that ran fiberoptic cable in French Lick back in late 90's, early 2000's. I am now paralyzed, so it was nice remembering back to a time when I wasn't. They sure do love that Larry Bird guy there, whoever THAT is? Haha. Currently, some good friends and I are working on a '92 Chevrolet S-10 that I bought in '94 when I was a senior in high school, my first vehicle, ever. I drove it to work up there and back from Kentucky every week. We're going to restore it with some mild modifications, a little modernization, and some handicap accessibility. Wish us luck. Good luck to you. I hope you can corral all those ponies.
On the side scoops who is to say they didnt have 2 or 3 differant styles in molds. Went with one style in production but the other style was used later when the one style version got worn out. So the may have had many versions siting around at the same time. Its fun to try to figure out what had happend back in the day. I dont know my a Jeep guy so i dont claim to know anything except what I own.
You're correct. The '67 Shelby GT had more 'running changes' than any sane person can keep track of. With the PR/engineering car in the video, it most certainly 'evolved'. We tried to point out some of those running changes on the other cars, which do correlate to their completion dates by Shelby American.
An interesting Tidbit on this is that the white supercharged 67 Gt350 was mentioned that it was owned by Gary Drago since 1972 and ironically Gary owns a Corvette parts business in Flint where I work. When Brian told me he plucked that Shelby out of Flint I was like WTH? I guess I should have went through my 67 Shelby registry looking for cars.
I looked at this car in the mid 90s. Gary had it for sale in front of his corvette shop on Dort Hwy. in Flint. I called the number and spoke with Gary. He wanted $40K for it back then!!! Way out of my price range and way above what others were pulling at the time.
I have been told there is a Shelby near Pentwater Michigan owned by 2 brothers who are at odds. One has the drive train and the other has the car and title.
I remember as a young lad that I had a line on a blue 68 Shelby GT500. The owner had passed away at a young age and his widow had just parked it in storage. I got a chance to talk to her one day and asked if she would consider selling and she said she would. The car had 6000 miles on it and I didn’t have the cash to just pay for it so I visited my banker for a loan. He said not a problem but you’ll need a co-signer before we can go forward with this. I was 18 and my dad would of been the only guy that could of backed me on a loan but he just thought it had a little to much power for a young lad. I’ve never forgotten that car !!
My dads favorite saying - “Too much power for your little brain” . I was sixteen in 1970 at the height of muscle car production. The car that I wanted - Pontiac GTO Judge with Ram air. The car dad chose and agreed to co-sign for - Chevy 4 door Impala with a 327 225 hp and power glide transmission. Missed my window…next car was a Honda Civic w 1200 cc 4 banger bought to survive the gas crunch of 73/74. I did manage to buy a Yamaha RD 350 that would outrun all the muscle cars with 0-60 in 3.5 seconds and a quarter mile time of 12.8 seconds. That along with a 70 mph Checkmate speedboat with a 135 Mercury satisfied my need for speed. 😎
#DennisCollins, just started watching this episode. How about this Shelby. In the crane cam catalog of 1968 on the cover was a 1968 Shelby, dark green I believe if my memory is right was a GT 350, might have been a KR. That car was special. Carol Shelby had it in California and it clocked at 161 on a round tract. I know the guy that probably still owns that cat. I worked with him in Ohio. It only had 3800 Mike's on it the early 80s. He trailered it. If that is the car shown in the beginning of thus episode I would bet that he still owns it.
@@markhale8084 Well hello Mr. Intelligence. I never meant a GT350, I meant a KR500. But maybe I am wrong for it has been like 40+ years ago and I am over 65. Also, who really gives a shit how I spell Carol????? Oh wait, that would be the only asshole here, YOU 😂, have a wonderful life of non existence on this vast planet.
a 1969 black jade Boss 429 is THE pinnacle of all mustangs. it just doesnt get any better, you get the baddest big block with the most beautiful Mustang body ever made, its even better looking than the same year Shelby's.
Here's some Cool 60s Ford Trivia for you - check out photos of Jack Chrisman's Sachs & Sons '64 Blown Comet. Chrisman was very in tight w Ford then, shoehorning one of the first Fran Hernandez-supplied Factory Ford 427s into that car, arguably considered the 'first Funny Car'. Chrisman added those same script 'Supercharged' badges to the front fenders.. never had seen another pair on a similar-era Performance Ford... can't add a link or photo here but check that out. Cheers ~ FH
Dennis there is a man on A RUclips video with a hemisphere cues talking about his blue with parchment interior 1967 Shelby about four years ago. He had it restored out of Florida. Hope this helps. Good luck in finding the blue lady of jims.

I know that's the story, but he just wants us all to turn him on to a bunch of Shelbys for easy money. its guys like him who drive up prices so we normal guys can't afford em.@@markhale8084
The Shelby Lineage, from start until now Must be the most Iconic American Auto. in my opinion.
This is supposed to be about cars. You f****** are making me hungry every time. I watch this.😅😅😅
So much in-depth knowledge. Thank you all.
Best show to date.man I love learning about mustangs. I don't know how you are going to do a better show than this one. But can't wait tell next week. THANKS!!!!!!!
I love these longer form videos. I would to see more around this length.
What kind of training ?
Holley EFI training
Great video and content Dennis,I love seeing so many people with the same passion swapping knowledge and going over some true gems.i truly enjoyed this video.
What a rare treat. All the most knowledgeable Mustang enthusiasts under one roof. Heaven on earth. Youz guyz ROCK!

I heard Chris Christie make the same grammatical error in the last GOP debate when he said "between the 4 of us".
What an incredible wealth of knowledge. Such a cool and informative episode. Thanks for sharing it with us
My Grandfather worked at the Pilot Plant in the 60s, I might have a picture of that 67 sitting in his driveway. Dad said grandpa was always bringing cars home from work. Shelbys, Bosses, Panteras, you name it, he got to bring it home.
These are the types of leads we're hoping for. Dig out that shoebox of photos and let us know about any Shelbys captured on film!
Dude I'm in heaven! Thank you for this adventure again 💖
This is incredible.
Brian Styles is a legend!
What a stellar presentation of the facts and research.
Big fan of Coffee walk since the beginning and CB Jeep.

@@vintagevwsalesandkeyservices nice. I didn't know that. Well good the search is on.
39 or 69?
Is there another way to contact you?
JD the man. would be his wing man any day! great vid you guys! we love ya in Maine
Fantastic video! And the drone shots were a nice touch! Nice meeting you both!
Great episode and I hope this stirs up some of the employees of Ford and Shelby and their families can help with the legacy and more information.
He knew dennis was out there by the clouds in his coffie...@@chrisbolla539
Wow to many professors to count. Love the Shelbys.....awesome stuff.

Outstanding video! The amount of knowledge imparted was awesome!
I have been told there is a Shelby near Pentwater Michigan owned by 2 brothers who are at odds. One has the drive train and the other has the car and title.
I was just in Pentwater. What else do you know?

Well spotted.
I was born in to the Ford family in1957 Dad started at a dealership in 1948 thanks this was very informative I have many boxes of Ford literature
Shelby Gurus summit meeting... The planets alined... Subbed, and always a thumbs up!
Dennis has a great life. But I think JD might be right there too.
The original owner that was 19 when he bought the Shelby is amazing story.
I got something special for you 🤘
Great video. I think another holy grail '67 would be the one owned by Jim Morrison.
So there are no GT350 KRs and its CARROLL!
Great place to have a car event. The Hudson Essex Terraplane Club held its international meet there several years back.
a 1969 black jade Boss 429 is THE pinnacle of all mustangs. it just doesnt get any better, you get the baddest big block with the most beautiful Mustang body ever made, its even better looking than the same year Shelby's.
I’ll take one of the three 67 GT500s fit with 427 side oilers by SAI at LAX…or Brian’s 67 GT500 ragtop.
I love when they mention Oakville, I was raised in Oakville great place to live 1/2 hour from Toronto.
French Lick, also the home of arguably one of best NBA players of all-time. Larry Bird.
This will definitely go down in the books as one of THE greatest, most important episodes of all time.
Cheers ~ FH
Dennis there is a man on
A RUclips video with a hemisphere cues talking about his blue with parchment interior 1967 Shelby about four years ago. He had it restored out of Florida. Hope this helps. Good luck in finding the blue lady of jims.
It’s either an engineering car, or a Johnny Cash car. That is an employee’s car who was lifting parts as he could to build his car.
Another fantastic and educational video!! Thank you!!!
hey what about Jim Morison from the doors mustang
