  • Follow these instructions to position your Guide Rail Brackets for accurate cuts according to our philosophy.
Remember: Because there are various factors that can affect the squareness of your cutting station, the Universal Setup blocks are designed primarily to LOCATE the cut line rather than to guarantee squareness on their own.
NOTE: If you are using the brackets on a Festool MFT3 you must remove the slugs they install in their tracks for banging their own brackets up against. They will get in the way of our mounting hardware and are NOT compatible with our system.

I am so impressed by the simplistic yet so well engineered design of your table system. I will be upgrading my MFT system to your system very soon. Absolutely love your system. Good job!

With the hardware you are very close to creating a perfect solution for people who have their MFT directly on a wall. The back part has to be turned over and needs a foot, then the mechanism runs along the wall instead of under the table. That would be a great solution and unique at that. It is then mounted on the table top and not in the T-slot. It would be a dream 😀

So this is calibrated flat against the table. At what point do you adjust the height of the rail to lets say ...3/4"? Would raising each of the calibrated trackstars get things out of wack?
What is your workflow to reach the final height of the workpiece, because the track needs to be flat against the table in order to register against the blue USB blocks. Attempting to calibrate at workheight would place the rubber rip edge of the track above the USB not allowing calibration.
    Thanks

At 00:35 I mention that it's best to have the height set a little above the work surface (2-5mm). This allows the rail and brackets to move smoothly when being pulled into contact with the USBs. This is only done when you're setting up initially and is not necessary when adjusting for height while working. Changing the brackets' height for different thicknesses of workpiece does not affect accuracy because of our dovetail-style design where the risers and base plates contact each other, which automatically centers the risers when they're tightened after height adjustment.
