Hey Rob, you're saying these side mount crosscut fences are permanent, and I see the fence hanging about a foot off of the edge in this video, but in the other dashboard videos I don't see the crosscut fence hanging off like that. What am I missing?

      Eric,
We recently made the "short" fence longer, and it's now 29" (736mm).
      Thanks,
      Rob

How does one know that the fence is now parallel exactly to the 20 mm dog holes in the bench, along the 8ft axis?
Seems to me there is room for error, since the cross cut track is squared off the 20 mm dog holes?
I currently have to square the crosscut track off the fence, not the dog holes, to get square cuts.

Our benches are assembled with a particular emphasis on keeping the "back" of the table as parallel as possible with the grid of holes. That ensures, to the best of our ability to fabricate things, that fences and table top will be properly aligned after fence calibration.
      The setup process outlined here:

makes careful note about the difference between (1) setting up the brackets and (2) confirming squareness between them and a fence. It is the user's responsibility to verify that on their own.

I probably need to get your new and improved fence too, since bought so early in your product development, it’s getting harder to resist giving you more money!

Thanks so much for being an early adopter! It's true that our current fences are much better than the initial versions, plus they'll work on your bench.
