I’ve got 2 little people (primary school age) and we have the same tradition of reading The Night Before Christmas to them before bed on Christmas Eve - we love it and I think it’s lovely that you’ve continued to do it. Hoping you’ve all had a lovely Christmas.

Loved seeing your family Christmas traditions - especially since they’re so different from American Christmas’ that we’ve celebrated. I never knew what “crackers” were or that you wore crowns for Christmas dinner or read The Night Before Christmas! Very, very special. I imagine that some American’s read The Night Before Christmas to their children, but it was never part of our tradition. I love seeing Christmas customs all around the world…

Angela, this was all so much fun. I loved listening to “T’was the Night Before Christmas “. When I was growing up, a recording of that poem was part of our Christmas carol collection. I was able to recite it right along with you! It brought back such sweet memories, not only of hearing it as a child, but reciting it for my own children who are also now in their twenties. Thank you for that. Have a wonderful Christmas with your loved ones. ❤

I remember that story from when I was a child and read it to my daughters when they were little (along with Padddington Bear and The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe). I think I still have the books tucked away somewhere. Hope you all have a lovely Christmas.
