Hope you do well on your school project!
I'm nitpicking here because I'm a biology undergrad but the digestive system and respiratory system of arthropods are disconnected from one another, unlike in tetrapods. The air taken in by the Arctic Cannon Beetle would be suction feeding, not respiration, most likely.
Since they eat rocks, low nutrients would probably correlate to poor soil quality, but colder climates and lots of snow actually don't harm soil quality that much from what surface level researching I've done. I definitely need to look more into it though. They probably evolved in something like a bog which has nutrient-poor soil, but what would cause the regular Armored Cannon Beetles to not starve there? The more I think about the minutia of Pikmin biology, the more it confuses me.

overall this video makes some good observations about the ecology used in pikmin. The way it points out how similar elements of a family can serve different purposes based on ecological pressures is quite interesting. The editing is done quite well and makes all of the points made very clear to the viewer. It shows a passion for both ecology and pikmin. On the more critical side of things, This videos title should be "how the cannon beetles of pikmin display ecology" as that is what makes up the majority of the video as other creatures are not named. The requirements for the school project stick out quite a bit but it is understandable that they do since there are not many other ways to go about doing a project like this without making those element stick out. The last comment I have is that you need to speak up a bit more. You sound like you are trying not to wake up your parents which makes the atmosphere less confident. Be more proud of your work.
overall this video is a good 7.8/10
The video has some flaws which could be worked on but is otherwise very solid. This could make for an interesting concept if you delved deeper into it.

It's not like Minecraft where there are memes, but it's always updated to talk about something else. And also memes make the community grow and it was one of the things that didn't save, but helped pikmin 4
