Earthbound takes place in 199X whereas The whole Pikmin series is set long After the extinction of all Humans. And is roughly set around the Pangea Ultima theory. So even if they were the same universe, Everyone would be Long Dead by Pikmin 1.

As a sound effect nerd, in the 3:06 timestamp you can hear the firing noise of the BFG9000 from Doom 64 being used. It is also a stock sound effect of a jet taking off.

I loved the reference to the horror game HOUSE in the background of the rocket launching off. Incredibly underrated game and great recreation of the animation
