Just ordered the legend last night! Can't wait to get it and get out detecting! Love your channel brother 💪 You helped me decide on the legend over others out on the market now. I currently have a few detectors including the Ace400, Quest X10PRO and the Vanquish 540. Can't wait to swing the legend over my old hunting grounds and see what it finds! Keep up the great work! Merry Christmas 🎄⛄
It is interesting to hear it at the end. I sent back my Legend after 2 hours because of the chaos in multifrequency mode. If they send to me a new one, thats gonna be the same then? Then the SMF feature not worth it. I was using a Simplex Ultra and i was ao happy with it, just wanted to upgrade...
We all use the Legend in single frequency. We have found hundreds of rings and many many coins in single frequency. Same with all the multi frequency detectors....too much EMI!! I will rarely use multi frequency on the Deus 2 and Equinox.
im kinda wondering how the new 12 inch x9 i think is the size coil i wonder how that will be vs the big stock coil on the legend delik said the new 12x9 is lighter then the big stock coil
I've been swinging the Legend since June and have a little over 200 hours on the machine and have gotten really good at telling how deep a target is with the 11 inch coil and can also pinpoint to within a inch or so of the target. I live in Yakima Jeremy and with me being only 4 hours or so away from you makes me wonder if my soil is just that much nicer to get through then yours. The time you guy's spent here earlier this year, did you notice the soil in the parks were easier to penetrate then your parks?
The soil in the Willamette valley is very mineralized with iron oxides, some clay is red, black, green, blue, orange and when it gets wet makes detectors go bat shit crazy. Minerals in the ground mask targets and give broken tones on coins making it harder to pinpoint. When Jim and I were in the Yakima Valley we hunted in the grass at 3 parks. Milroy Park had dry mild soil, Broadway Park had wet mild soil and a park in Toppenish next to the water tower was mild also. We hit many many totlots that day. Milroy park was loaded with jewelry and coins but super sketchy around the local homeless.
Love your videos love to metal detect but it looks like I'm gonna be a spectator for now how sparked to the ground last night all metal detectors lost Keep up the good works
Be sure to come out tomorrow and play in the dirt with the snow, sleet, and cold weather I told everyone you were the toughest on the block! lol R O F L
So cold.Wanted something to do so i took my nox 800 to test garden.Running it I hit a new target.dug a plug look down in hole and there a Eskimo looking up at me he reached up and pulled the plug closed, thought I heard he say I was letting cold air in..
Hello, how does the Legend seperate in heavy iron in single frequency, since the iron filter and stability is not available in single frequency according to the users manual. Greetings from Germany
Gold field does work well, but has no iron tones. All of those tiny bits of foil sound very good in gold field program...but nearly impossible to locate with a pinpointer.
Serious EMI kills your depth. It overloads the CPU on any machine. You can test it yourself to see the effect it has. A little blip here and there is usually ok....if it's constant noise you'll lose depth. So if multi is noisy and you have to drop your gain down 20%........you're better off running single and keeping gain at 100% in most cases. That being said........the multi modes on the Legend are not performing properly. In ideal conditions M1 still won't hit a silver dime as deep as 4khz which makes no sense because M1 should also be running 4khz( as well as perhaps 10khz) since M1 is supposed to be for high conductors. The battery drain running in multi tells us it's not a power issue, the machines are using more power in multi as they should. It's just a software issue. The reason I suspect that is because that same dime WILL hit as deep as 4khz single in the beach modes which also use multi. So it makes no sense.
I am aware that the Legend in auto ground balance will lose a target if you swing over it too much according to Andy Sabisch. Do you find that is the case?👋😀
It’s been beautiful were I am at found many old relics I used all of the frequency but my favorite is park 2 killer I found 2 beautiful walking liberty s 1917 and 1920 in mint condition with the mint gloss
Hey paystreak i know this videos old now but i just got that new score and i think it runs the best in single frequency idk i think my vanquish is superior if i crank the discrimination it helps and m3 frequency isnt bad but yea idk i see alot of head nodding in agreement about how nokta has the smf all figured out like minelab and xp but in my soil at least im not seein it
4khz does not work in my soil with any detector I own. My buddies have been using 20khz and 40khz and they have been finding many more targets than multi frequency. The Legend runs so much more stable in single frequency, especially when you are at high sensitivity and swinging fast.
Have you done a live dig comparison between single and multi frequency settings to show the difference in depth between the different frequency settings?
I am very confused.......is this a competition where the guy with the fastest swing of the metal detector wins?? Never watched anybody swinging a metal detector like this crazy ! Why all this stress ? Why all the hurry even when digging ?
I used to detect several areas daily. The only way to cover a larger range of areas quickly is to swing fast if the machine is capable. That`s a sign of experience to me. I`ll slow way down when I take my time and slow way down in a trashy area I`ve been over before to see if I can get anything I missed.
I have found over 250 rings and many gold rings with several different detectors THIS YEAR ALREADY!!. I broke the 6" and 11" coil ears on my Equinox. Equinox no doubt does perform well but it will not withstand everyday use by a hardcore detectorist like myself. I have been detecting for 30 years mastered probably 100 detectors and the only coils that I have ever broken have been the Nox coils.
I mean no offense buddy, normally metal detecting is a relaxing hobby, for me anyways, so is watching detecting videos, Just the way you speed pace around waving the coil is kinda stressing me out lol

Is the vanquish 540 better then the rest u have im buying one next week
I'm excited to see what new modes and features will be in the next upgrade

Works amazing in the woods

That Eskimo was probably hiding gold!!

Greetings from Germany
Multi will do better in iron but the balance of all the extra settings makes it a continuous battle. I think it does great in single frequency
That's some tough soil today. Hope your GPro7 arrives soon.
It should be here around the new year. This Gopro 8 is the worst camera I have ever used in my life.
I was playing with gold field and finding some cool targets.
Gold field does work well, but has no iron tones. All of those tiny bits of foil sound very good in gold field program...but nearly impossible to locate with a pinpointer.

The only ideal conditions are in a test garden or on a bench. The Legend is performing perfect.

I never use a detector in tracking mode. It will surely lose targets
It’s been beautiful were I am at found many old relics I used all of the frequency but my favorite is park 2 killer I found 2 beautiful walking liberty s 1917 and 1920 in mint condition with the mint gloss
m1 or m2?
@@Milan380pp M2 usually . Try beach mode it works in heavy iron really good .
@@ChrissyEis ok.Tnx
Still yet to find a detector that performs better than the simplex and deus on my permissions which are riddled with iron and various minerals

I have done many each time the Legend has had a firmware update.
Is v1.11 better with EMI?
All of us run single frequency full sensitivity and have very few EMI problems. We do not use multi frequency on the Legend...way too much EMI
@@PaystreakSuperfreakI am still running v1.09. Just wondering if I should upload the latest.
@Paystreak Superfreak this is making me question my order. I rarely run my nox in single fq

You really hit the point on that one it's like they got off track and forgot what they set out to do
This is what good drugs from across the boarder do to you...😅
Or he doesn't want to waste film...😂
In a few days and 10 IH penny s in a week the Legend is the best
Use my legend in 15 most of the time
We use the legend in 20 and 40 and works fantastic. Multi not working good in our soil.
The way you zigzag I'm surprised you find anything. If ya want deep AND the benefits of multi frequency pick up your Equinox.
I have found over 250 rings and many gold rings with several different detectors THIS YEAR ALREADY!!. I broke the 6" and 11" coil ears on my Equinox. I understand where you are coming from. This is a relaxing hobby for me too.
If them shovels aren't big enough maybe you could rent a backhoe to do the digging.
